Just thinking to last year (or was it the year before) when Oz came back very late, in February due to (was it a sporting event???) And all rumours about the show losing its timeslot were rife again. Don't need any of that this year! ? I suspect C5 already knew Oz planned to finish the end of Nov and perhaps already aware of when they plan to return in Jan so are confident in telling us 11th Jan return date nice and early. December is going to fly by I think and itl soon be round again!

I thought the same about Alf fetching Justin, he surely would come into contact with the acid in that way?? Colby is really getting to me with this storyline, he seems a little too focused on saving his own skin he treats everyone else poorly! And that includes Bella imo. I struggle with Angelo and his lack of likeability though as he is dodgy himself and has returned back in the force and is being a complete Prat. I wonder if that's why he's giving Colby a hard time, as he's been mixed up with riverboys before and perhaps sees himself in colby? I'm probably reading too much into things

So it looks like John has suffered a stroke! It's awful, and I can see Marilyn not coping well here, she's been seeing herself as on her own and the marriage over recently, even confiding in Alf and Martha about it. Is this about to change that I wonder?? The Paratas seem to have settled in really well and the party confirmed this. Warning, love triangle inbound with Mac I mean, Mac and Tane will be hot and I'm sure but Ari doesn't deserve a brother who doesn't give a rat's behind for his feelings. Jasmine, from one day to the next seems to be up and down. Really unstable. She's going to let Tori down for sure

Same! Front/back back/front was all to pot I think. Then the characters used the back door, to walk around the house to play footie on the front lawn. My head hurts.

The Jasmine story is very impressive and I think all involved are doing s great job. Especially Sam. Its really uncomfortable but you want to see more.... She really needs help though Jasmine I don't feel like she's getting it and she's putting s facade on a lot of the time

I completely agree about Nik and Gemma I have immediately warmed to them and their story. I think they've been written well and the actors have really good rapport with each other. It's very believable. I'm finding myself becoming a bit of a cheerleader for Nik because Gemma is doing a great job with him on her own given the circumstances she's found herself in and she's raised a decent guy.

I feel sorry for Nik because I think he needed some sort of confirmation from Bella that he didn't do wrong by her and he didn't get it. Remember he doesn't know her story fully so I can imagine his confusion would've been off the scale. In todays episode though he seemed to relax a bit more and it seems John, of all people, has helped talk him round. He demonstrated his maturity again by visiting Colby and leaving a message for Bella. Which I thought was a nice thought. I really like this Parata family. Gemma's grief for her husband is starting to bubble beneath the surface a bit and I honestly found myself choked up a bit at the scene in Marilyn's house when Marilyn offered her ear to Gemma after Nik apologised. I was going to say who is this John and what's he done with the old John but Ryder gave a perfect explanation of the two types of John, good John and grumpy John! Also, Mac is clearly very confused too because turning up at Colby's like that is unfair on him and will only give off mixed signals. Plus it seems she's at risk of playing Ari like a fiddle. Not a good look.

So the Mac and Ari thing.Still seems to me to be in the rebound/casual mode if you ask me, As she's blown Ari off and gone all weird since the run in with Colby. If Ari had any sense he'd tell her to rack off now as it's clear he's aware of unfinished Colby business. As BayWatcher says, is she having second thoughts again now? Or fourth thoughts should I say? Not sure Ari will though, even after Gemma and her voice of reason gave him a ticking off.Leah still seems to really be struggling and you can understand why. Giving her impact statement just made me feel for Justin. How is that bloke able to wake up in a morning after what's happened to him lately, thought his little smile and reaction to Leah giving him a peck at the diner afterwards was a positive sign. I just feel for the guy!

I agree I don't think I would bother with DNA test either if I were on Ziggy's shoes but can understand why she would want to know because it would eat away at her. That little thing niggling away in the background.

I thought today's episode was really good.The scenes with John and Maz were quite touching actually. Ive criticized John for perhaps not empathising with Marilyn about her ordeal in the seige in the past as I feel like that's where a lot of their frustration with each other started. Anyway, It seems today the penny dropped for him and he came across very sincere towards her. Thought his little chat with Roo asking her to watch out for Marilyn was cute. Maggie's reveal of her one night stand with Marco and the subsequent fall out kept the pace up for the rest of the episode. Big DUFF DUFF moment from Ziggy there, questioning her paternity. Can't wait for tomorrow to see how Maggie explains this one. Genuinely loving all the good cliff hanger endings of episodes recently. i hadn't noticed the enhanced picture, but then again I think the show looks amazing on screen anyway. The way the show is shot and especially on 5HD channel just looks fantastic. Will pay closer attention tomorrow to see if I can tell any difference

This could be the turning point for Marilyn and John now. And I do hope so. As you say Red, Gemma pulled it out the bag today in terms of getting John to meet his maker. I'm really liking Gemma so far. Another big Astoni Friday cliff hanger. And I'm loving them! Last week it was slimeball Marco with his blackmail and threats this week it looks like Maggie is about to spill. Whilst I initially thought this whole storyline came a tad from the left field, I love the villainous quality to Marco, albeit subtle, he's shook the Astoni's up a bit and made it all a little more exciting over there on the farm. I have to say though quite early on, it was obvious Maggie was going to be the one to unravel the whole secret because she couldn't keep it together.

All this talk of Alf and Summer Bay House and I'm like I'm actually certain Sally signed it to Alf when she came back didn't she need to raise cash for Pip's treatment? And at one point the whole gang including Marilyn all offered to put to? But now I'm questioning it haha. Sad to see Alex leave I thought she was great and a really strong character. Willex was very popular and they worked really well together. I hope it can somehow be worked out and Alex can return at some point.

I think my previous guess may be correct as we saw in Fridays 5star episode. Very dark for Leah at the moment but glad she got away.... Very similar to her first appearance on the show, running through the woods in a wedding dress ... I felt a bit dejavu or very weird when she got away haha. She was found very quickly by Justin which was both extremely lucky (haha) and thankful. I feel like this story is going to be a long one going forward about Leah's mental health rather than the psycho himself. Her distance with everyone when she got back in the bay was really really strange. Let's see where this goes. Is that it for Alex now? Has she left for Queensland? No shot of her driving off or anything? That seemed very abrupt. Or did I blink and miss something?
