Changes to air times on Channel 5 this Easter bank holiday. The following post has just been put up on Facebook. Home and Awayers, listen up. As it's Easter this weekend (woop!) episodes will be shown at slightly different times. The Good Friday episodes will be shown at 12.00pm and 5.35pm. The Easter Monday episodes will be shown at 12.55pm and 6.30pm.

Yes I can see that would be confusing. The first look is a ratings winner for 5star so I suspect it's stayed to get the all important advertisers coming EDIT check out the ratings Top 10 for 5* last week. Normally Home and Away is up there 1-5 but with the specials too home and away is 7/10 of the top rated shows on 5*. 5Star ratings

I think I preferred it being a repeat the next day at lunchtime. Made the 6pm showing the main big deal. I dont see anything with Neighbours affecting Home and Away's schedule, it was always where it is on Channek 5 before they bought Neighbours. In fact, I believe the whole thing will get resolved, Home and Away is probably more profitable for the channel because it's cheaper for them to buy. They overpaid massively for Neighbours and I don't blame them for wanting to renegotiate. Everything will stay as is and it certainly won't affect us lot watching Hone and Away

I feel this pain. I have had to mute soooooooo many Twitter accounts and I'm petrified I'm going to find out... Hope this is a general move to how they operate Neighbours now. I can dream.

I absolutely love Matt. He was a bit of a tool when he joined a la Mangrove river but he's turned into a great character. I can absolutely see the likliness to Aden and Belle. What draws me to Matt is that he's not just a cloned my/surf topless enthusiast like a lot of the other young cast. He's a bit quirky, a bit cheeky and I hope he's around a long while to come yet. I enjoyed his backstory of alcoholic father it helped soften him up from Mangrove River pillock to the funny sweet guy he is now and I thought it was done well. It was believable that he gegniunely loved his dad and he struggled with the right thing to for him when it came to going to rehab.

Does anybody read this thread or watch at 5* pace?! I caught it today as I'm travelling tomorrow and wow what an episode! Sophie has really gone all crazy on us and I was genuinely hooked watching her keep Nate captured at the motel room. He was scared and it would appear he's telling her he loves her to be able to get out of the situation. Edge of the seat stuff. Things are looking pretty good for Phoebe at the launch upto now but as we know this won't last for long. It's a shame she isn't more suspicious of Beive as she knows she's capable of being a complete bitch already and theyve not exactly had a harmonious friendship upto now. It's just a great shame Phoebe won't see anything coming. As it stands though I'm very happy for her and her dream taking off. Kyle is being very sweet rallying the bay round and getting the transport together so that everyone can go support Phoebe. As we know this is doomed but Kyles supporting her 100% which is nice. Tomorrows ep ( Friday on c5) will be very good indeed, can't wait.

That's right. The highest bidder wins the rights to the show. So in Home And Away's case, here in the UK it used to be shown on ITV but then Channel5 aquired the rights instead. Perhaps a better deal / paid more money etc.

I really don´t think they will care about that in my country, they will probably keep on showing two episodes each day til they are right behind Australia Well they will follow the follow the rules or do what says in their contact with channel 7. I don´t think Norway has any contract with them, i have never heard or read anything about that There's must be something in place in order to allow them to show it. Do 7 distribute the show overseas? I know that used to be southern star didn't it? Although that's a guess. Maybe the contract is with the distributor, in which case, if 5 have the premier rights they will not be able to overtake I'd assume.

It's silly! Just doesn't seem right, especially looking at those neighbours dates. Unless like I said earlier they're doing it for a reason like cast members coming over in time to promote a particular story? Or something similar, Has anyone emailed and asked why?

Either way if were ages behind again people will source episodes online. It's a lose lose situation.

Red is right were slipping further behind again. Are they doing it for any particular reason? Like perhaps it is to time when cast members can be over here to promote certain storylines etc? Whatever the reason it best be a good one and as I said before, shorten the summer break!!
