I would include Justin and Leah in older characters group as they both are now in there 40s going by actors ages and I believe both characters are around same as age as actors. But I think at moment we got most longest serving characters we ever had as we got 7 as I include Justin as long standing character as he be there almost seven and looks like going nowhere . But I think problem with any soap or tv show it’s hard to keep getting fresh ideas and even when you haven’t seen it on H&A you Likely seen on other show like Neighbours or vice versa.

I wouldn’t mind Heather storyline if Marilyn explained where Phil fitted in as guest it’s possible they broken up and when she went to country and then she come me back to Phil and finding he was with other women and that’s what cause her to go to Summer Bay and didn’t want to tell her secret.

Did anyone think was ridiculous how many times Raffy went backwards and forwards living with Morgan’s and John & Marilyn between 2017-2019.

I always thought it was a shame that Floss and Morag never shared any scenes together other than both being at Bobby and Frank's wedding but Morag quickly ran out of the church.

Ailsa has been mentioned as Alf just said a year ago that Roo gave Ailsa hell.

I have blind spot for Ailsa so I always found her to be same character and she did not stay in long enough.

But however I think the same could be said about any long term character as they all changed characterisation from time to time . I think Irene is even more inconsistently written than Ailsa but guess that’s falls Irene remains still on show til this day.

They were both in 4000 episode but I don’t think shared any screens and Morag and Lance had both definitely changed by then.

Problem is I think anyone that used to way current characters and characters are in recent years that you will find characters in early years boring if they are written as normal every day people.

Didn't Heath Braxton only ever date Bianca?. Did Tasha only date Robbie too? And I think Kit only dated Kim.

But she was once regular and think she was kinda semi regular in mid 2000s.

Most of them were guest characters so I say probably not.

Despite technically being the same character Roo of today's show is a completely different character to Roo in the 80s.

Marilyn centrally has had great character development.

It’s hard to imagine the Stewart’s family in 1988 without Celia. Celia was the one that did not give up on Roo and fought long and hard to get Roo and Alf talking again .

It’s not like Chloe had been on the show any longer than the average character.

Does anyone remember in Pippa's last episode if her leaving was the last scene of the episode?. I don’t think she even had a lot of scenes in her last episode.

But Dean has done some questionable things that were not Colby related. Dean once knocked over 73 year old Alf. Sure Dean didn't mean to knock him down as he was running in the Surf Club but he didn’t stop to see if he was okay. As much as I love Dean and Dean how is he now would probably stop to help Alf if he knock him over by accident.

I guess if Joe had stayed long term he would be paired with single mums like Shelley/Beth/Gina /Roo(Though not single mum).

Evie was pretty much the same as Matt as both were underused in their final 10 months. I think the plan was for them was to leave together from the beginning once all their era had left.

I think despite not coming across as the nicest girl Amber is a decent person and is not going to be a crazy villain like Charlotte. You could tell form the start Charlotte was going be a crazy villain.
