  1. Well it seemed all it needed was a simple question to be asked and a simple answer given, Harper "What day are you in court?" Perri "Thursday". DUH! Harper it seems hasn't forgotten she's a SW and offered to help Perri with prepping for it. Did make me smile when Harper offered to help pack up the gear he was using and him saying she shouldn't be doing that in her 'condition' - men eh? Then it made sense to her why Tane was so diffident about going to the scan which she duly tackled him about. I said she'd understand about it and was more than happy to change dates which Perri can't do. On the subject of Perri he does and I can see why with his background become very dependent on Tane, he got muffed again when he missed his second meetup with Rose. It was good to see she didn't give up on Cash walking off after seeing her and Tane hugging. This time it really wasn't what it looked like which she got him to see, explained that her and Tane and aren't a couple and will just be co-parenting. That walk did seem to have helped Cash somewhat, he's tided up, emptied the pool of leaves and other debris. It also seems he's staying and has accepted Tane's offer to move back in, it's going to be awkward/upsetting for him too seeing as he lived there with Felicity. They were brothers-in-law too. Perri did seem very otm seeing the pool. I can totally see why Mac is upset, to put it mildly, with Cash he is bombarding her with his 'new' ideas thinking he'll save 'them' money and get better deals but as Mac tried to say nicely, then more aggressively he doesn't know anything about the restaurant business so maybe he should be there as a silent partner, see how it runs day to day for about a week, then offer his suggestions. He was being a lot more than a bit of a pain. Mac and Flick were doing pretty good for a restaurant in a small seaside town, it had it's ups and downs but every business does. She told him twice about him not being allowed behind the bar as he didn't have a RSA, and him being a cop too, so he's going to get one. Btw has he forgotten he has a job/career or is he not going back to being a cop? I don't think he would have got such a lambasting if she hadn't found out about Levi lying about where he'd been. Bad timing him getting that text from Eden before he left so both got both barrels. I know she didn't agree with him giving money to Abby - see I got it right - for drugs but she's his sister, wouldn't she want to help Dean if he he was in the same position? As said before you can't make someone to go to hospital if they don't want to. But Kirby really did believe Mali would win, especially as that woman gave such a misleading email. A Special Commendation was pretty up there though seeing as it was the first one he'd entered. Does appear from what we saw Abby is not happy about moving in with Remi. It did hint at something when we saw her at Eden and Cash's Engagement party, she wasn't comfortable him being there, perhaps she had a crush on him and he turned her down. There is no way he'd try it on with a young girl which she would have been at the time. He may have been a flirty Berty but he hit on fully grown women and backed off when he found they had someone.
  2. I'm not a Harper hater so can see her in a better light. Quite rightly she couldn't/wouldn't comment on what others were saying about how involved Tane was gong to be without talking to him. He does want to be involved but then he's also involved with Perri so in between a rock and a hard place. He agreed to going with her to the scan but then Perri found out he'd got his court date which clashed. OK she may have come across as him breaking his word saying he wants to be involved then ducking out and he could have told her why which she would have understood, there will be plenty more. Perhaps she'll find out some other way why he was being vague. You could blame Harper being tetchy on her hormones. On that point Tane did suggest, kind of, that he and Perri find a place of their own so they could have the baby stay over or even live, but that's something else he'll need to talk to Harper about. Harper is not, in my eyes, Felicity's understudy, she knows their situation. It's just bad timing with Perri's court date being on the same day, btw it appeared he and Rose had made up after his initial bad reaction to her. It was good of her to come and explain what would happen on the day, he'd need Tane to read the email/letter when it arrived anyway. Coercion is a difficult thing to prove, it's the whole - in this case - he said/he said scenario as no-ne is ever around when it happens. As a kid he would have just done what his dad told him to do but then he got older and started to think for himself and question what his dad was telling hi to do. It'll be tough for him but I think Clive's true nature will be revealed when he's in the dock. I know he asked Tane what he should do but as Tane said he can't tell him, it's down to him, but that he'd back him whatever he chose to do. Perri has come to rely a lot on Tane which is both a good and bad thing. They did seem to enjoy their camping trip. I said Mali wanting to keep him becoming a finalist a secret was because if he lost he'd feel he'd let people down. That comp lady did, it seemed, did raise his hopes a lot, then it was revealed this other bloke had won, now he'll have to break it to his mum. Despite himself though I'm betting he was already spending the money and what it would mean to the board shop and his lessons. I said that about Justin hiring a driver to ferry Claudia about would be better, may cost him more and being the picky person she is would fault with everyone of them. Would they - or in this case - Justin - have to wear a uniform, salute her? Of course Leah will find out Justin isn't working at the garage, she does tend to pop round on the off chance so Theo will need to be updated so he can tell her 'Justin has gone to a suppliers'. Cash is so distracting himself by throwing himself into the workings of Salt and how he can, in his eyes, improve it, he's really pissing Mac and Xander off, of course he's doing it to stop himself thinking of Felicity but that can only go on for so long. He's pushing Mac away by doing that when he needs her as a friend or is he also casting her as someone else he doesn't want to lose? It seems Maz and John are acting as a team but it's Maz cooking meals for Cash and John delivering them. At least Cash finally let John in and it seemed took his advice to at least get out of the house for a while. I know Flick wasn't the tidiest of people but it was a right mess. I picked up on that throw away line about Gary having gone, I thought he was staying until Cash seemed more stable? He's certainly not acting it - see my comments above. People of a certain age always say that about cops. , don't want to be accused of sexism.
  3. I'm not going to be popular but I don't like Claudia or her attitude to people and the way she is with them, I bet she's not an easy boss to work for. Theo didn't have to admit it was him that worked on her car and why did she assume that just because he was young and he'd only been qualified for three months, it was all his fault. Justin himself said it could have happened to anyone. Leah was overreacting but as I've said it's Claudia's attitude. Mac or Leah would be more understanding, btw how/why did Claudia chose Justin's garage? It's not as if it's a high end garage in the city. OK, Justin has offered his services as her driver and already we've seen her putting demands on him to be there a certain time and not be late. How is that going to work with working at the garage, will he drop everything to rush to her side when she demands it? How will he explain that to Leah? No more secrets remember. Oh btw atrus many new doctors have only been qualified for a few months at some time and people do ask if they know what they are doing, plus the usual question "aren't you too young to be a doctor?" Two sides with Bree and her perhaps panicking and calling Claudia back in to check there wasn't anything wrong with her neck which may cause problems down the line. She could be overreacting after what happened to Felicity, but as we've said there wasn't anything anyone could have done there, no-one missed anything. But then some symptoms do show up later so in a way she did the right thing just to be sure. Anyone else would be OK about it and glad to be doubly sure nothing was wrong. I think Bree behaved towards her after was maybe relief that she hadn't missed something, you can't tell a patient that can you, but she did keep checking the CT scan. Dana seemed to handle Claudia very well, skirted her questions as to why Bree needed to do another CAT scan as a simple precaution as of course she couldn't go into details as she isn't a doctor so not qualified to give an opinion. As I mentioned before Bree had asked Dana's opinion about that guy then dismissed her query about Claudia. Dana was worried enough about Bree to mention it to Remi, again without going into too much detail and Bree had ducked out of their date. He causally dropped into the hospital but got short shrift from her which I was glad to see she apologised for later. It appears from what Xander was saying to Theo he and it seems Mac are having problems with Cash now he's decided he wants to be involved with Salt, Mac it appeared sent him home but is now bombarding them with texts and emails thinking he knows more than they do about running a restaurant. It has been mentioned that Levi was giving money to Abi to buy drugs to stop her getting into the trouble she nearly got herself in. Abi didn't want to go to hospital and you can't force someone to go. For once Dana was keeping quiet about someone else's business so not a surprise she told John off, the way he was with Harper, grilling her about where she, Tane and the baby were going to live Mac's place already is a tad overcrowded, Irene may not be in the best place to have anew born at hers. Just before that she been grilled by Marilyn about how involved Tane was going to be before the birth, was he going to any appointments, birthing classes. John and Maz should join forces and interrogate Harper together, they'd be a good team. As Harper said to Dana her and Tane do need to have the 'talk' once he comes back from his camping trip with Perri. To balance his nosiness John had been doing his Good Samaritan act by leaving food on Cash's doorstep but hadn't had any contact with him so asked Remi if he'd seen him. Does Remi know that Eden is with Levi?
  4. Justin is playing it so badly, pandering to Claudia and it is so going to blow up in his face. Is Justin going to pay for a driver as well as the courtesy car? She dismissed Leah as if she was a nobody. That is going to be far more expensive than paying out if he'd gone the proper route/legal route. Now the person - Theo - he wanted to 'protect' has found out what he did and is fuming. Yes it would have been a knock to Theo's confidence but having Justin lie to him will have been a insult. As Justin tried to explain it could have happened to anyone, any garage can make a mistake, innocently fit a faulty part which can cause an accident, injuring the driver. Claudia does appear to be up herself, she's a busy business woman don't you know, so needs a car. Going back to her getting a courtesy car wouldn't the garage's insurance paid for that anyway plus driver if needed? Bree's suddenly second guessing herself because she blames herself for not saving Felicity but no-one could have, her, she is only a 'humble' doctor, the surgeons. It was just cruel twist of nature, but she's fretting that maybe she missed something, the fact Flick was a friend making it worse. That is why she wanted a second CT scan done on that guy, even asking Dana and no disrespect to her is only a nurse so wouldn't know what she was supposed to see. Now her insistence that Claudia may have incurred further injuries in the crash - whiplash - which isn't uncommon - so wants to check it out which will of course inadvertently cause Justin more problems. Dana was only asking if more tests were needed as Bree had asked her opinion earlier. I'm also surmising that is why Bree let Levi off with taking the medical stuff, the saline to rehydrate Abi, the drip etc. she was distracted. I remember ages back Jasmine - am I allowed to 'say' her name(?) did that when Dean was withdrawing from his sleeping pills addiction. That was a motel room. Why did Levi lie to Mac, does he think she needs 'protecting' from what is going on with Abi - honestly these people are adults. I think she'd be glad he's helping his sister. He doesn't help himself in that regard. Eden did reveal about why Cash dumped her and like most of us thought he was being an idiot about it. Abi having ago at both of them about them not bothering about what she had been doing the last few years. Eden had been with the band and travelling all over and Levi doing his doctoring. I'm surmising Abi hasn't been on heroin that long, months rather than years which is why she was seemingly coming out of it fairly quickly. I'm wondering if Levi's wanting to help so much is down to guilt as he took his dad's side when their parents marriage broke down and it could be why Abi got into drugs? They did have a few good memories recalling their childhood, even Abi chipping in when she had been rehydrated.

  6. Forgot to post this Friday. Leah may not be a mechanic but this Claudia person could have been lying about that it was the brakes that failed, people do tend to do that, as they don't know her from Eve. It was hardly kosher for Justin to have 'borrowed' the car to check it over first before the proper people looked at it. Theo didn't need supervising now he's a qualified mechanic or have Justin check the work he'd done. Anyway it does seem Theo did miss something, Justin did explain it to Leah but it went right over my head like it did hers, but something he didn't do caused a knock on effect which caused the brakes to fail. Now Justin will have to break it to Theo. Justin's 'deal' could cause him a lot of trouble down the line. Valerie and I'm not making excuses for her, wasn't into heroin, hers were medicinal weren't they? Double edged sword with Levi giving Abi money to buy the drugs, his argument being she would likely get it by thieving, getting nabbed by the cops, ending up in a cop shop somewhere or his worse thought she'd end up in the situation she was in. This 'nice' friend of her had a solution to how she could pay him back - but and some credit to her she's not gone that far down the slippery slope just yet. Btw wasn't she supposed to be saying with mum, hasn't stopped her going out and scoring has it? I'm supposing Levi hadn't told Mac to 'protect' her , but it affects him so would affect her. Did make me wonder if he had still been with Imogen would he be having this argument with her? One good thing, if you can call it that, Eden and Levi have joined forces to find Abi. I'm not as sure as Mac is about Cash getting too hands on with Salt. I was with Mac and Xander I kept expecting Flick to bounce or flounce in depending on her mood. Kirby went into nagging mode again, but finally wore Mali down enough to check his emails and he found he was in the Finals! I loved their . Good try Kirby a paid day off. Maybe just me but I see a romance Lovely idea that he'd send his mum to Hawaii as she's always wanted to go there. Alf was puzzled as to why he didn't tell his family he'd got to the Finals but I feel they would expect him to win and if he doesn't he'd feel he'd let them down. Today's Levi and Eden made a good team hunting down Abi. I'm supposing they wanted to get Abi as far away as possible from Dom. What was Eden going to be telling their mum about why she was picking up clothes for Abi? It did bring Abi up short what she could have got herself into. Gutsy really her deciding to opt for going cold turkey, and no you can't force someone into rehab. Eden did hold back on why she couldn't tell Cash but then had to tell Levi they had broken up, besides what could he do about it, Dom was in the city. From what we saw Levi is helping himself to hospital equipment to aid Abi through her coming off heroin and got caught by Bree. Was rather a wry moment Maz 'accusing' John of being a gossip when she's right up there with him. I guess she was more miffed that she didn't know about Harper and Tane, not that is a secret any longer. Leah didn't know either. Kirby came in more flak from Mali again, but this time she was innocent as John was the guilty party. He just wants to 'show off' one of the Surf Club's people being in a Art Competitions Final. I'm still of a mind Mali doesn't want it publicised as he would feel he'd failed everyone if he doesn't win. At least he apologised to Kirby. Btw can people stop picking on Mali, he went to the dark side which wasn't popular so why shouldn't he be a normal, everyday, average guy? Not sure about Justin deciding not to tell Theo about the brakes failure being his fault to 'protect' (that word again) him. It will hit Theo hard but Justin covering for him is not good practice and this way it will make him more careful which is a good thing. I may be naive as I know diddly about the way garages work and what is expected of them apart from the very important fact the cars have to be road worthy of course. I'm even less sure about him doing a deal with Claudia, what she may be expecting from him in the future which could be dodgy, she'll have this hold over him.
  7. It did seem Tane was expecting Harper and the baby to move into the farmhouse without consulting her, she may want to stay at Irene's. He would also need to run it by Mac. You were suggesting she'd be moving onto someone, anyone now Cash has dumped her. Is punchbag the right word, shouldn't that be sounding board? One moment Cash was already to leave town on the next coach but now it looks like he's staying to co-run Salt, he really is so mixed up so it is good Gary is staying around, as he could see signs of what happened to his and Flick's dad. Flick not leaving a will, well why should she she was only in her 20's, means as next of kin he would inherit her half of Salt. I think he's seeing that as a distraction to stop him thinking about what happened. A business like Salt can't be explained as simply as he thinks it can, as Mac said there a a lot of variables to think of, time of year, the customers they could get etc. There's going to be quiet times, busy times and you take those into account. I thought he was very condescending towards Xander, who may 'just' be an employee but he's stood in for both Mac and Flick many times when they've been a no show and knows more about what goes on and how the place runs than Cash does. Dean didn't know he had a son by Amber until long after he was born so wasn't here from the start like Tane is. Tane did need bringing back to earth a tad and he hadn't thought about how it would be for Perri who was thinking about moving out as he'd feel out of place. As I said before, there's months yet and two things, will Harper be moving in, she may want to stay at Irene's and is Mac OK with having a baby and another adult moving in. So wise words from Mac, she has been there and she didn't have Perri's unstable background. Fair enough re Perri and Theo, but I don't think they've really talked before have they? I didn't see Harper's "Are we a couple now?" comment as implying they should be, to me it was her wondering what they are. True though Justin is a fine one to talk about the garage but just because he's the boss doesn't excuse him for hardly being there. It wasn't just this woman's car Theo had overlooked/neglected, it was Tane's too which Perri had brought in, but had to come back for the next day. Theo had only recently become a qualified mechanic so shouldn't be slacking. He was making up for it but he did seem to be rushing it to please Justin and prove he could do his job. It does appear as been said it's backfired somewhat. I liked that talk Gary had with Alf, Leah and Maz it must have some kid of relief for him to talk to someone about Cash and Flick and how hard it was for him when he and his late wife took them in. But he did a good job, eventually. As Alf said there is no manual on how to bring kids up. If he is staying Alf will be a good mate.
  8. Well I'm seeing it all completely differently. Tane, once he'd got his around the idea he's going to be a dad seemed to be taking over, announcing it to all and sundry, not exactly saying he and Harper are an item but not saying it either. Harper needed that talk with him as to where they stand, will they be co-parenting and living separately, Harper looking after him/her and Tane visits? She said to him, if people had been listening, she knows he is not in love with her and just with her because of the baby so wouldn't feel right that people will see them as a couple. I can see him going all protective, making sure Harper isn't overdoing things which seeing as Harper is an independent woman would drive her crazy. She'll want to keep up her exercises but he'll put a downer on that, but to me it'd be a good idea for her and the baby, keeping her fit, and there are suitable exercises for mums to be. Didn't Jasmine set up classes for mums-to-be at the gym when she was running it? Tane was right to tell Cash before he heard it from someone else, Cash knew why Felicity and Tane had broken up so this news could have been upsetting. Rather an afterthought, I thought, Cash saying sorry to Tane for not inviting him to the funeral. Rather random him telling Theo and Perri, but I suppose as Perri lives with him he'd need to. Tane did say and I can't remember who to that the baby will now be his priority so where does that leave Perri? Did smile when Perri said the baby looked like him. Not wrong there Foellfan, Leah did get 'close' to Flynn, but they did know each other. First time, I think, Perri and Theo have met isn't it? It came out they have a common bond re abusive dads. Perri had reported his to his probation officer, did I hear that right, then turned him into the cops and now he's banged up. I imagine it would be a shock for him to hear that Theo had the same experience seeing as they come from completely different backgrounds. He would likely think it only happens in his world, not something that happens in 'posh' families like Theo's. Atrus, have you 'met' Eden, if my memory serves me right she hasn't been with anyone, she's been a bit of a loner. Flirted lightly with Remi, or rather he flirted with her, but they are friends from way back. It wasn't until she came across Cash again who was an old flame, there was a flicker which eventually caught fire. There were doubts between both of them, not the right time, other things getting in the way but they were meant to be. That is why she is so devastated about his reaction/decision. I was pleased to see her apologise to Bree, it was a misunderstanding and that dress, although definitely not her style did look lovely on her. Gary can see it but Cash is an adult, even if he isn't acting like one so can't be told what to do or not do. People keep pushing him to do the right thing re Eden, but to him he is so will dig his heels in even more. Not just him not wanting Eden to 'possibly' die, he's protecting himself. He did have to be the strong one when his and Felicity's mum and dad died so maybe didn't grieve back then and held it all inside for all these years. Have we actually see him cry? One moment Cash was making an appointment to see his solicitor to I guess have the house put entirely in his name, then he's deciding he's going back to Gary's, not just to visit for a while but to live? As Gary asked what about work can he quit the police just like that? Though they were willing to throw him under the bus when he had that disciplinary hearing. Gary was right about telling him "you go get your keys", you can't hide from her for ever. Gary hadn't known Eden for long, but he liked her enough to tell her to fight for Cash, even if it did come crashing down. Cash would be feeling the same as Tane, he said to Harper, everywhere he goes, everywhere he looks he see Felicity.
  9. It would have taken Tane by surprise to find out he's going to be a dad and to find out that way. He seemed to have come to his senses the next day, though it did give Dana a shock to find him kipping on their sofa when she came home from her night shift. Harper hasn't put him under any pressure, she's left it entirely up to him if he wants to be involved or not. She did say she knows she isn't the one he hoped would be carrying his baby. He has now decided he does want to be involved, I suppose we and Harper will have to wait to find out how involved he wants to be. I'm just relieved he didn't say the usual trite comment "How do know it's mine". Unfortunate that Xander and Dana bumped into him and commented about it so he knew they knew before him. Seeing the baby would make it even more real. It wasn't John's fault he heard what was said about the babe, Tane was rather explosive about it. John wasn't to blame and neither was Bree about people, well two, knowing Eden's back home alone. John mentioned in passing he'd seen Cash's car so guessed he and Eden were home and Bree just said no Cash was still back at Gary's. Eden of course lashed out but understandably so as she would be feeling incredibly hurt. It was lovely that Remi was there for her and Bree wisely went home. Her reaction to seeing the dresses would have been bitter sweet knowing they are not her style but also knowing Flick had chosen them. It did appear Cash has returned with Gary and from what I could gather hasn't changed his mind.

  11. Well we are all going to see Friday's episode differently. I thought it was very well handled both from those behind and in front of the cameras. It was a beautiful speech by Gary, said it all about Felicity, how troubled she'd been but how pleased he was to see her grow into a beautiful woman and how pleased he was when she looked him up after being estranged for so many years, invited him to her wedding and let out the secret she told him about Cash and Eden getting engaged. I liked if that is the right word seeing the funeral and the celebration at Salt side by side. Then seeing Lyrik play that song then we heard it play at Flick's burial was a nice touch. I'm guessing Justin was standing in for Eden? I was hoping for a few more memories about Flick, maybe from Alf from when she was staying at the caravan park. I didn't find it forced. Mac, as would be expected, glossed over the rows and two big ones in particular she and Flick had but focused on the good times they had and how she had stood in for her when Mac needed her to. Cash has completely shut down, his telling Eden he's finishing with her as he doesn't want to lose her too may be OTT but that is how he's feeling - if he is feeling anything - now, so no he isn't being a man chid, he's just lost his sister, his last family member. I hope we see Gary again. Was funny when Kirby told her story about Flick rounding up the locals to take them to a gig of Lyrik's, that would have been so typical of her. Then how the story of how they stopped her finding out about Cash and Eden were dating as that was a no-no. I can see why Tane left, it's still raw for him too, especially as he and Flick were very close and had reconciled when she collapsed. Maybe just as well seeing what was happening downstairs and it was kept out of sight from those celebrating Felicity's life. Saying that though she would have been there right next to him giving Carl a right mouthful and likely slugging him in the gob for good measure. I knew Carl would be back to goad Tane into smacking him so he could report him to the police thus breaking the conditions of his bail - if that is the right term. Perri was doing the right thing agreeing to go back with Carl to protect Tane, Carl for some twisted reason of his own thinks Tane has designs on his son when Tane has treated him better than he ever did. Harper, did very cleverly get Rose to come and sort the problem very discreetly I thought but the Harper haters won't see it kike that. Well of course Harper didn't want to tell him in that way, she was hoping for a quite moment. But he was saying he had nothing to look forward too after losing Felicity, no disrespect to Perri, but this news does give him something to look forward to. He's going to need to get his head around the news..
  12. Martha did get it right as it seems both Red and Foellfan saw it differently didn't you? I'm glad Justin did run the idea of having a memorial past Cash. It's lovely that it's being called a Festival of Felicity, a memorial sounds so sombre and that was not Flick at all, she'd loved it. Theo has reappeared from wherever he disappeared to and obviously has been kept up to date and willing to help anyway he can. Flick may have only been in the bay for three years but she made an impression, sometimes good, sometimes bad but not someone you could overlook so it's great that so many people want to get involved. Good idea of Remi, him, Kirby and Theo playing at FoF, she was a big supporter of them and would have loved seeing them play again. It was her that persuaded Mac to let them play in Salt when they first arrived so they owe her. Slight echo of Corrie with Paul having a conventional funeral one day and Bernie throwing a Rave to celebrate his life the next day. Cash is in such a bad place, barely spoken a word to anyone, I don't think he's properly grieved yet, could be he's afraid to let himself as it would be too much. In effect, I guess, he's still playing big brother and being the strong one. I could be wrong but maybe it's because he couldn't 'save' her in the 'usual' way as in rescuing her from the RB's or other troubles she had got herself in, kidnapped by her 'friend', drugged and raped. This was something he and no-one else could save her from. It was good to see Gary again even if was under such sad circumstances. Eden is struggling with not being able to help him but as Gary said she is there for him and he will need her when he's ready to open up. That walk of Eden, Gary and Cash behind the hearse was so sad but sensitively done. Levi is in between a rock and a hard place with Abi, gives her money to buy drugs but she has to stay where he knows she'll be safe or has her run off and ends up God knows where, doing God knows what to get the money. Nothing it seemed tipped her over the edge, family breaking up like Levi thought it could have been, just having a go at a party like a lot of young folk do. For many it just doesn't do anything so don't go any further, but for some like Abi they get hooked. She did come out with the usual line "I can stop any time I want". I'm guessing she could be in her early 20's. Eden hadn't seen Levi for about 10 years since their dad left them and he went with him and she's the youngest sister. We and most people forget about the doctors/nurses who treat our relatives and how they feel when they die. They have to move on otherwise they could never do their jobs. This time though it was Flick, she wouldn't have been involved in her ops but treated her before and after and she and Levi and the neurosurgeon had to make that decision. she knew everyone who was close to her and whether by design or she chose to break the news about Flick being brain dead and she'll be seeing them everyday. Stevie was a very recent acquaintance and it was only Nelson who Bree got close to. GFR?
  13. Harper wasn't expecting Tane to announce undying love for her just not be shrugged off like he did. H&A always has, it seems, a female wild child. Ziggy was one, Carly, Bobby were back in the day, must be others and will be others. I suppose at a stretch, a very long stretch I admit, you could have called Irene a wild child when she first pitched up. It had been a relatively calm time, returning to normality, but then Storm Abi blew back in. Mac did make a good call, persuading Levi to block his card, he had been enabling her to carry on. He claimed that as she was using his card he knew she was still OK. But I did have the awful thought, how did he know she was using it? OK, fair enough her 'stealing' money from his account is his business, but stealing from the surf club is someone else's business, him covering for her was not his wisest move. Rose had no proof Levi knew more than what he was saying, it was just speculation. To be fair to Abi, she did calm down when she found out about Felicity, she didn't know her of course, but she was her sister's friend. Were those needle marks on her arm or bruises? Though here eyes did look sunken and bruised. Wise old owl Alf took advice from another wise old owl - Martha - who would know what she is talking about. He was more laid back about it and not so gung ho. Maybe now Mali has seen the light and stepped back from the dark side, Kirby and in turn Alf thought he needed something to look forward to and focus on. I must admit I didn't 'see' anything in his work but as Alf said, he 'saw' a marlin, it's people's interpretation and what they 'see'. Rose 'saw' fireworks. Loved the meeting up later and him being invited to go fishing with Alf and maybe they'll catch a marlin. Liked Alf's comment about fishing being a work of art. It is indeed up to Cash where the funeral is and who's allowed to attend, it's a very personal thing. But and to me it's a big but why hasn't Tane been invited, he's only just an ex family member. Justin's idea is a good one, it's like having a family member/good friend dying and there isn't any way you could get to their funeral but want to remember them. Never mind if Cash might not notice, it's common decency to let him know.
  14. I'm an so I remember seeing Peter Phelps aka Gary as John Palmer in Sons & Daughters when he was a young man so a lot greyer and heavier now but still a good looker. Harper did duck out of telling Tane again. She wasn't going to tell him in the surf club, she'd would have taken him outside. Where did you get this mad idea she expected Tane to fall in love with her after their one night stand? It was her who told him they should just be friends after his abortive attempted kiss just after he broke up with Felicity which is why he thought it was just a sympathy romp on the camp bed. Now there's something else in the mix - Clay. Easy to forget Harper and Dana came from a dysfunctional family so she can see it from Perri's perspective but Tane is seeing it through rose coloured specs, as he had a good upbringing so maybe seeing 'parenthood' as a doodle. Tane was being Tane confronting Clay but Perri is an adult now so his dad can't force him home, his true feelings came out when he told Tane he'd find Perri a useless object or words to that effect. At least no blows were landed. Clay may be a thug but he's a smart one, looking up Tane and finding the report of his trial, which would be a matter of public record, and reading the conditions of him not being in prison. I bet he didn't expect that you could hear the cogs turning but I dare say he'll put plans in motion, roping in his mates, to get Tane riled so up he does something he so shouldn't. We saw by the folks reaction in the bay there were mixed reactions of Tane's 'stealing' Poppy so not just on here. I still think Kirby is transferring her hurt/sorrow of Flick's death by being overpowering, nagging Mali to enter that comp. Has she interacted with Eden or even Remi since it happened? Good to see Alf and we found out Felicity is going to be buried back in her home town next to her and Cash's parents. It does make sense in a way but means of course none of those in the bay who knew her will be able to attend.
  15. Cash's decision to get rid of Felicity's belongings was a knee-jerk reaction, but some people do do that, as it's too painful a reminder and others like to hang onto them, so Cash is one of the former. I hope Eden hides some things back as he may regret disposing of everything later. When Bianca lost Rocco she told Irene to get rid of everything of his, but Irene held some things back as she knew Bianca would and did regret saying it. Ditto the same with calling - or not calling - Gary, he's likely feeling guilty for not letting him know before so he could say goodbye. Eden was gently nudging him but as you said Red it was Tane who gave him the final push. That must have been such a hard call to make especially as last time he called him it was to tell him about his wedding. I'm guessing those dresses arriving were meant to have been a surprise for Eden - it would be so typically Flick. Perri was pleased when Tane thanked him for persuading him to go and see Felicity as I guess it's not often he'd been listened to before. Now, though he does have a problem with his dad contacting him and turning up at the gym wanting him to come home. How did he know where to find him btw? Knock-on from that Xander thinking Harper had told Tane about the baby from the conversation he half heard, as if she would tell him there with those people milling about in the Surf Club, she'd tell him somewhere quiet. Luckily he spoke to Dana who was there when Perri got that call so could squash that theory. I suppose Xander is seeing it from a bloke's side and if he was to be dad he'd want to know. I know Harper is postponing the moment, but what do they think she should say "Hey, I know you've just lost your (ex) wife but I've got good news, you're going to be dad". I suppose they, Dana and Harper, have been told off screen about Irene, she would have asked someone to ask them to look after the place. They have more pressing things to worry about. I don't imagine Leah or Maz, would be telling Irene about Flick just yet. Mac wanting to go back to work isn't that surprising, it is some people's way of getting on with things after losing someone. Flick went back after Rory was banged up. She may have been OK but that customer, who I initially thought was Dana, being snappy with her, really didn't help. For all of them, they are all going to be bumping into someone who will offering their condolences and bringing it up again. Age old problem do you ignore what has happened or just say sorry. Re. Flick's organs, there would be kidneys (two), lungs (two), corneas (two), liver, whole or otherwise and heart. Flick was a pretty fit woman, apart from her occasional drinking bouts, so can't see any real problem with all organs being used. I remember her first meeting with Tane and her dancing on the bar. She did change his life for the better after quite a few bumps along the way, he got himself a proper job, trained as a gym instructor so he has got a better life, he was just a drifter before.

  17. As you said Red, every actor/actress who has an extended death like being on life support have their own views on it. For some it can be calming, others frustrating, you can't even twiddle your thumbs. I think Mac would have been suitably discreet. There is such a thing as emotions taking over, Tane didn't have to go there so both to blame. Did he ask if she was on the pill, should he use something?
  18. TPTB don't just chuck in a storyline if an actor/actress decides to 'die', they may have had a lot of storylines in plan for them, everyone has to be considered, how it will affect other characters, new future storylines will have to be written. Anyways whatever we think of it it's done now. It was peaceful and calming, she looked like Flick and wasn't shot full of bullet holes which would have been so hard for everyone around her to see. As I said what was wrong with Mac visiting Flick and btw did she actually see her? She would have been visiting as a friend, as you do, no need to mention that it was very likely she wouldn't recover. It's been very moving this week and handled, in my eyes, very sensitively. That haka was just out there, so emotional, the setting and the time of day, it was something Tane so needed to do paying respect for a loved one. It was very stirring. I saw Perri watching as him realising what his culture is and could be to him if he embraced it. It did answer one question, it seems Australia doesn't have the same organ donation opt out system which we have in the UK, they have an opt-in system, as Bree asked if Felicity had discussed it at all with Cash or Tane and introduced them to the organ donation co-ordinator. It would be totally Flick to want to help others. That walk of honour was beautiful and respectful. I don't want to assume - ugh word - but maybe it's easier in a smaller hospital like ND's? I've got a donor card but you're right foelifan, people don't like talking about them, admitting you've got one, not wanting to tempt fate I guess. The person carrying the card is obviously all for it, but sometimes it can be the relatives who object and say no. Going off piste, again, it's the same with DNR letters ,if relatives weren't aware a relative had signed one they can object. According to Aus law, unlike Brit law which means you can't divorce until you have been married a year, it dates from the time of separation, so I guess that they have to make it official to qualify, maybe they, Tane & Flick didn't feel they should announce it to all and sundry, if they had, their business, another mystery solved. Eden was, as happens, being 'strong' for the other person, forgetting themselves so well done Remi. How come, though, Kirby hasn't been there for her friend? I have read there is something special happening this week but as I'm not a spoiler staying . Where has it been written that Harper is Flick's successor? is it official or just speculation on what people think on fan sites? Absolutely no way would now be the right time, but is there ever a right time? They don't have to be a couple, Harper loves Tane she has just admitted as such, but he could be there for the baby who is an innocent. You do know Red that the pill isn't 100% even today? Which is why she was so shocked to find she was pregnant. That could have been tricky Harper having her 12 week scan in the same hospital, but luckily TPTB didn't fall into the usual soap trap of someone seeing her and Dana wandering around on the same floor as obstetrics were.
  19. I've read interviews on here and Jaqui wanted a even more dramatic one but TPTB, I think, decided it should be more less traumatic. If the actor/actress wants to leave permanently discussions will be held as to how they will be killed off, taking into account their character and how feasible it would be. Could be as simple as a road accident, heart attack, falling downstairs. I'm supposing the actress - Catherine Van-Davies - who played Stevie knew when she signed the contract it would be only short term and she'd be dying/killed. Her people and TPTB's people would have discussed that. Talking of ND's, that's twice recently they haven't performed their usual 'miracles' and people have actually died. What's that got to do with Mac seeing Flick? They are/were friends and don't friends see their friends in hospital? Even if she doesn't actually 'see' her she can be there for Cash. My jumping the gun about Perri wasn't wrong then. Harper of course would know as Dana would have kept her up to date. I'm supposing she kept it quiet from Perri so as not to dampen his spirits. He, Perri, would have been disappointed that Tane didn't show much interest as it was him that suggested the assessment and encouraged him to go for it. It would, to him feel like he was back home and being ignored. Tane didn't have to go into details, just say his ex had died. Did Perri meet Felicity? I was pleased Harper finally told him, now he understands and knows it was nothing to do with him. In fact he asked the same question Mac did as to why he wasn't there? He regretted not saying goodbye to his mum so didn't want Tane to feel the same. That shot of Tane looking up at Stewart's Point and 'seeing' him and Felicity when they declared their love for each other was so sad. I remember that, they'd spent the night up there, she skipped off to get food for brekkie. Mali said Perri's assessment must have been tough but as Perri said it's not for him as dyslexia can be worked round. Going off the piste a bit is he just word dyslexic and he's fine with numbers or both? Did his school not suss anything or not realise it? Anyways he is not that old that he can't be helped, many people only get diagnosed later in life as for them it wasn't recognised as a condition, they were told they were stupid. In fact, going off piste again, there are quite a few actors/actresses who are dyslexic who manage to read scripts and have careers. When Harper was talking to Perri after she had been speaking to Tane and he was saying how everywhere he went he 'saw' her, it hit her because she said herself Felicity was the love of his life so I don't think she was self-absorbed just realising he'd not get over Flick anytime soon which would put her telling him about the baby on hold again. I suppose you could argue Harper hasn't been to the hospital as she doesn't want to crowd Cash but be there later, not as a SW but as a friend. In fact I think they were both the loves of each others lives, not been in love before, had flings, one night stands etc, but for whatever reason they clicked until the baby thing got in the way. Is Kirby channelling her grief for Flick into pushing Mali to get into painting and putting his name for for this show? We did see her at the house, she actually unlocked the door, and had a tinkle on the keyboard but found it too hard. He doesn't need/want chivving into doing something look what has happened the last couple of times that happened. If he wants to do it, let him make his own mind up, yes $15,000 would be nice but he's not bothered about the money. Even Alf was impressed and a drop in of Martha saying she'd like it.
  20. It was mentioned by Bree in Friday's trailer that it was an aneurysm. But Jacqui wanted Felicity to die and let's face it it could have been a lot more dramatic, got caught in the crossfire of a shootout between the RB's and cops. This way her loved ones can say goodbye even if she couldn't hear them. Bold move by any soap actor/actress to have their character die when if they decide to move on as it means they can't return if their new career goes shaped. Folk on H&A's Facebook page gave a lot away but out of respect for folks on here kept schtum. Tane and Flick married March last year so it is possible their divorce could have come through making Cash her next of kin. If they had still been legally married but separated he'd still be legally her next of kin. He's going to have to be thinking "what if". Another point, I'm guessing Flick wouldn't have made any sort of will, she's only in her late20's and not her style, but what about Salt, wouldn't her and Mac's lawyer advise that something should be set in place about what happens if one of them dies, which Mac very nearly did very recently. Does it automatically revert to the surviving partner? We saw from Fridays' episode that Tane and Flick do still care very much for each other, it was there was such a huge stumbling block to them being together as a couple. Flick would have been furious, but hold on, they weren't a couple anymore even if not divorced, so free agents. It would have proved her initial thoughts about Harper being after Tane right though. He, Tane, doesn't know he's done anything yet. Besides once she'd got over the shock, she'd be glad he'd be getting the family he wanted, well that's what I think anyway. Did Mali and Kirby go away for the night after the Engagement party and only just come back which is why we are only just seeing their reaction? Kirby was a tad pushy but she made a good point her song writing helped her to get through tough times. I'm guessing the boards Mali paints are commissioned so not his designs. Now he's got the chance to do his own thing. No mention still of Theo. Kirby was also a friend of Felicity, but not as close as she and Eden were. Grief hits everyone different ways, I wonder if Kirby will write a song for Flick and yes I could be getting ahead of myself and sing it at Flick's funeral? It was a different situation when Mac was in hospital and Flick didn't visit, but putting the fact Mac is scared to see her aside, why wouldn't it go down well with Cash? Mac & Flick had put their differences aside and made up. OMG that note - so typical of Flick - so poignant. Mac was just about holding it together but that really hit her. She was behaving just like Flick did after Rory had been banged up, found working kept her mind occupied. How soon we forget huh, it wasn't that long ago Justin was expected to die and Leah had been sitting by his bedside. He did have one of those miracle recoveries after his dream which some found OTT. Glad Leah stopped faffing about and told Justin why she was so upset. Alf did 'let' John off for leaving the money lying around because as he said a life is worth a lot more than any amount of money. He did turn on him though when John said he had 'found' it. Could Levi's instincts be right about Abi that she is in trouble, hence her taking money out of his account - his bank are well on the ball - letting him know that quick. Rose was a bit of a bloodhound not wanting to let Levi get off that easily. I know it was thieving from a small, local business, but hardly crime of the century.
  21. Jaqui wanted to leave and for it to be dramatic, not Felicity driving off into the sunset. I thought the episode was handled very well, I'm guessing tptb took advice on the procedures on doctors assessing if a patient is brain dead that Bree and Levi did. It was very informative I thought, then the wait to check again this time with a neurologist. It would be hard enough for any doctor/specialist to having to break that news to relatives/friends but more so if the patient is a friend too. Had to be hard for Cash but then realising Flick wasn't coming back. Looking at a less severe ending, even if Flick had come round she would likely have suffered severe brain damage laving her unable to move, communicate which she would have hated. Cash's snapping at Eden would be so right, you lash out at the ones nearest to you, but as said he apologised right away. Next thing, I suppose, will be how long they can leave Flick, Bree said there has to be a time limit, someone else may be needing that machine, only so many in a hospital. Going off piste a moment, what was Felicity's feelings about organ donation? I'd forgotten Remi wasn't at the after party party as Bree was at work so I guess he went home which is why he only found out that morning, tipped off by John that someone, heard/saw an ambulance at the Surf Club the night before taking Felicity away, obvious response to go to the hospital when he couldn't get Bree on the phone and be there for Eden and give Bree a probably much needed hug. Wise decision for him to go, Cash doesn't need a crowd round him. Tane took himself off again and Levi had to fill him in how the first assessment went. Then he rang Abi, just asking her to call, brotherly reaction I guess wanting to know if your little sister is OK. Where are Kirby and Theo? I did like, if that is the right word, about how word got around, Maz and Leah being informed face to face by Justin and John. John was a bit careless leaving that much money lying around, was it just sitting in a box on his desk? How sharp eyed Abi must have been, she'd never been in the Surf Club before. Come to think of it, did she go in the Surf Club? Levi's a conventional soul, gone up in my estimation, carrying actual money in his wallet, most people shun it and use cards. She must be in desperate need of money.
  22. H&A don't handle any disabilities well, they either recover or are shipped off. Jett was the last one If I remember right. One good thing, if you can call it that, about Felicity's condition is Eden's thawing towards Levi and they had a proper brotherly/sisterly talk, he - and we - found out how Flick and Eden met I guess it put things into perspective and talked about their errant sister. It seems neither of them had had much contact with her recently. Not just Levi's calls Abi was ignoring then, she didn't answer Eden's. Both Xander and Dana relaxed, somewhat, as they were worried they had missed something that could have indicated Flick's collapse, but as said an aneurysm just happens without any prior warning. Bree has handled it all brilliantly, very professional but been totally honest with them. No doctor can say how the patient will come out of it if it's a brain problem. It didn't look or sound good, did hear the one pupil was fixed and diluted when she was admitted now both are and as avid hospital drama watchers would be aware that is never a good sign. Levi did attempt to intervene though neurology isn't his field, but he and Bree did agree the fact Flick wasn't responding to touch wasn't a good sign. I'm guessing from what has been said Tane and Flick are now officially divorced which is why he felt he ought to leave the hospital, OK so you're not her husband anymore but you're still her friend so good for Mac urging him to go back. It was obvious they both still love each other but as I said before too much water has gone under the bridge, but they'd still be there for each other. Yep, I could see why Tane thumped the wall in the lift, always go frustratingly slow when you don't want them too and at least he wasn't hitting a person. Small niggle and it really is a small one, but I noticed the wall outside of the lift had the same pictures on when they were supposed to be going to a different floor. Well to be fair to Dana she didn't actually 'tell' Xander Tane was the father of Harper's baby, the penny dropped when she said she was worried about Tane's feelings about Felicity. For all we know Harper was taking the pill but that is not a 100% guarantee which is probably why she was so shocked. I suppose it's not an totally unexpected reaction from Cash he is still her big brother and still looks out for her, but this was something out of his control and no-one to blame. No surprise he's having a meltdown. The last time she was in hospital was after the crash going to her first wedding to Tane which he could blame someone for. It's a shame that these scenes will likely be the last time we see Jacqui, jut lying in a hospital bed and not larking about somewhere. I wonder how uncomfortable it is having having that tube in your mouth even if it is just for the scenes?

  24. Welcome back Red. It did look like everyone was enjoying themselves, I loved Flick's dress. Eden looked very different to how we usually see her in that posh dress and heels. Cash chose that ring very well, he knows Eden's not into convention so that's why it was a bit quirky. I'm not sure if even Cash knew what Felicity had planned so was a great surprise. Nearly everyone there. No Irene, natch but I guess Maz and Leah had done their three days. Seeing as Mac wasn't supposed to be at the party not surprising her outfit looked a bit on the warm side. to not just Flick but Xand too for putting it all together in such a short space of time. Going off on a tandem but I guess someone, somewhere got it sorted for that part of beach to be shut off for the party? How long has it been since Eden saw little sis, was it said a few years? It did appear she had had more contact with Levi. Levi, to his credit, was disappointed about not being invited to the BIG do, but understood why, he got dragged into taking Abi and was willing to walk away but Eden, grudgingly let him stay. Eden and Abi did seem pleased to see each other and I imagine Levi's earlier years must have been pretty fraught with having two younger sisters. Remi would have course have known Abi from back then, but it was odd her reaction to seeing him there? Did she have a crush on him back then, took it a bit too far and he knocked her back? She is a bit up herself assuming she'd be put up, yep the Farmhouse is a big place but they are overflowing, Tane, Mali and Perri are staying there, I'm guessing Perri is bunking in with Tane? A motel would be the next best place, though he could have said the caravan park. He was a tad slow not picking up on her nicking his wallet. Why Abi's odd reaction to Eden dating a cop? I think Dana was reading too much into Tana's and Felicity's closeness, to me, at least, it looked like a couple who did and may still love each other but realising that part of their life has gone. They'll always be there for each other. It was lovely but sad seeing them watching Eden & Cash, Xander and Dana, Remi and Bree. Wondering 'what if'. I may be going way out there, but would it be too odd for Theo and Rose to get together? Oh that ending. That is how, I believe, an aneurysm happens just a sudden pain and you collapse, she had no other health problems. Ethan in Emmerdale reacted exactly the same way. We didn't see the initial reaction at Salt, but I'm guessing Xander would have attended to her, but wouldn't really know what it was unlike Mac's obvious chest pains, just made her comfortable and called an ambulance.
  25. Great photos Dan.
