  1. Abi did appear to be handling it well after her initial melt down with Levi and seemed very calm, maybe too calm. But then Mali walks in and finds her in tears and she lets him comfort her. She also listened to him when he offered her advice at Salt after she shut Levi down about finding a new counsellor. Levi should stop pushing her, she'll only dig her heels in, she will make the right decision in her time. Maybe it's not Tim she fancies, but Mali, he was the first guy who was nice to her, wasn't bothered about her history, made her laugh, offered her a job. I don't think he sees her as a potential girlfriend though. Will it be surfboards at dawn with Theo and Mali if they both acknowledge their interest? Tim did get Abi to open up in a pretty short time, which isn't easy, he must have the right knack. Marilyn very wisely didn't reveal to Roo what had really happened to Alf over the phone, just likely said he hadn't been well and she needed to come home. It was Alf himself who told her he hadn't needed her when he was lying horizontal on a hospital bed and didn't now. You're right no way could Roo have made it home in time when he had his crash and maybe could have died even if Maz had ignored his orders not to call her. He's being very philosophical about it, he acknowledged doctors do have bad days, they are only human after all. but Roo of course will demand answers. We did see her burst in on Remi and Bree. Was that Remi's bike she was on the back off, as later it looked like he was welcoming her home? Btw a nice little mention of Ryder and how he's doing. had she been to her mental assessment, if so any good it would have done may be ruined now Roo is on her case. As Rose was explaining to Kirby it is difficult for her to discipline Cash when he used to be her boss and now the situation is reversed as he was , in effect, the elder statesman. Cash seemed to be suffering selective amnesia, he did resign after his suspension as he didn't want to accept a demotion and restricted duties. He'd only just come back into the job where he was sent to Mangrove River, but then he lost Felicity. Rose, blushingly admitted to Kirby she had a crush on Cash when she first met him, but of course it went nowhere as he was seeing her stepsister, am I allowed to say 'her' name, oh sod it Jasmine. She nearly left town though because of the awkwardness about it.
  2. I shouldn't judge all men the same but it is a male thing to let their fists do the talking first, Levi never came across as the violent type. Maybe Levi felt somewhat guilty as the way Abigail was was partly down to him. Oops that was bad timing when Tim was with Eden and Abigail and Levi turns up. Tim did keep schtum about how he got his split lip. Eden did do the right thing by finishing with Tim saying she couldn't see him, much as she wanted to, while he was still seeing Abby but he got round that by 'dumping' her. Pretty flimsy excuse that he has so many clients and she was the last one he took on. Oh the truth will come out, they can only keep it under wraps for so long and this is SB. Oh and Eden does know Cash is staying around. It must make Rose feel awkward having her 'ex' boss back as an officer who now works under her. It was a bit naughty of him to bunk off by going to see Tane about Perri. Yep - see Kirby agreed with me Theo does fancy Abby, although he did try and deny it but very unconvincingly. Is Abby teasing Theo or does she fancy Tim? Theo gave Perri good advice, but neither he or Tane can tell him what to do it is Perri's decision in the end. Just we see Marilyn having a heated debate with Alf Roo shows up.
  3. I must have misremembered. Plus I I guess as she was living in NZ a trial in a small town back in Aus wouldn't make news not even national news. I did notice the jury did find Perri not guilty of murder by reason of self defence. Is that a verdict you can give in Aus, as here all juries are permitted to do is find the defendant guilty or not guilty. Perri didn't correct her when Kaia said 'oh you kept it' when she saw the box. We don't know the circumstances she was living under, she moved from NZ to Aus either because of work or when she married Carl. She wouldn't have had any family around and not have known who she could trust to look after her and Perri should she flee from Carl, he would have soon tracked her down. It did appear she had maybe hung around for a bit as she said she had seen Peri playing basketball. Carl did blatantly lie to Perri about his mum then, maybe in his own twisted way he thought it was better saying she'd died rather than she'd left him? Theo would understand, but Dimitiri was hiding behind the mask of respectability when he was abusing Theo and his mum. Eden did attempt to do the right thing but soon crumbled, still think it's a rebound thing with her. Does Eden know Cash is staying in town? I think she does like Tim as he did come across as a nice guy. It's put Levi in very tight spot, and I know he's no innocent as he cheated on his wife with Mac who had been his patient. It is a grey area as Eden isn't his patient/client but her sister is so not breaking true ethical rules. Remi too is caught up in it just as Abigail has forgiven him for leading Eden astray which is probably why he scuttled off. Maybe be wrong but I see a definite spark between Theo and Abbie/Abby, him revealing he's/he'd seen a counsellor helped I think. Who is she going to feel more betrayed by when it comes out? Remi was very circumspect when asked where Bree was, just telling folk she was visiting family.
  4. Very good outcome for Perri with the jury quite rightly finding him not guilty of murder as it was self defence. Kaia's testimony definitely swung it for him. She was damned if she did or didn't leave Perri with Carl, I believe he would have carried out his threat and he would have made sure she wasn't able to take Perri without him knowing. I dare say he had 'friends' keeping an eye on her. Strange how that that drawing made it look like they were a happy family. Clever trick of TPTB letting us hear how Perri must have heard the verdict as if from a distance. We did get to see the prosecution lawyer's face the night before. It seemed it was Harper who tracked Kaia down, but seeing as she was supposed to be dead how did that work? Jane got a bit of flak for not warning Perri before she turned up at court but she wasn't sure she would turn up. There are a lot of years of hurt for Perri to get his head around He does know what Carl was like so in one way can understand why she left but then not leaving him to take it all by himself part. Why didn't Carl tell Perri his mum left him but let him think she'd died, it would have been more like Carl to tell Peri the former? It was strange Carl kept that box though. It's gong to be a hard time for him as if he hadn't already been through enough to get his head around. Shouldn't judge by appearances but it looked like Kaia was doing OK for herself. Ay least we got a glimpse of one happy family with the Fowlers reuniting and having a fun lunch, who knew Abigail could cook again you shouldn't judge by appearances. I know Mac had to go to work but it definitely should have just been them, Mac would have have felt left out with the family in jokes. That was a beautiful letter Abigail gave Eden, very heartfelt and it really got to Eden. Then Eden had to confess to Levi about her sleeping with Tim and as we saw he took it very well - NOT. I'm guessing he's putting all the blame on Tim but Eden is an adult and could have put a stop to it. There is a solution that is reached. It appeared then Martha hadn't got through to Alf either as he wasn't talking to her about his recent near death experience. I know it can be a generational thing with a man of Alf's age for not opening up but he eventually did about his PTSD. Maz popped up just after Leah's talk with Martha. Leah and Maz's attempt to get Alf talking fell on very deaf ears. Maz has now called in the big guns, though I doubt Roo would appreciate being called that, and she is coming home. Alf won't be a happy bunny if he finds out why she is back. It's got to be on his terms and in his time.
  5. Was Rose just happening to drive by when Tane was trying to stop Perri doing a runner? She must have noticed he was wearing a backpack but took Tane's word for it they were just having a walk. I thought Rose gave her evidence very well, she just told it as she saw it when she arrived at the scene, that is all she can do as a cop, she can't speculate what may or not have happened. Jane, for all that she is young, has done a very good job, it helps sometimes if the lawyer/barrister is younger as they don't have such set ideas like older ones do. Where did the fact that Tane had taught Perri martial arts come into it, was there any evidence any had been used on Carl? The judge, who it turns out is the late Dennis Waterman's daughter Hannah, came down pretty hard on the prosecutor, but that is their job to be tough on any witnesses or defendants. I hope we see more of Charlotte Friels. Where and how did Jane find Kaia? Prosecution it seemed had 'forgotten' to mention her on list of witnesses. She won't have been the first 'dead' mum/wife to turn up, remember Martha? From the looks of it Perri isn't going to be leaping into her arms very soon. I'm wildly guessing it was something Carl forced her to do, maybe she had a fling/ stood up to him? There was a plan C for Cash then. He opted for a demotion because as he said you couldn't have two Senior Constables in such a small station. I'm guessing he hasn't had a paycut? Wasn't he offered that position after his his suspension? I did like him teasing Rose by keep calling her boss. Other people are now picking up on Alf's aloofness/grumpiness. Even John admitted Alf was even more snappier towards him than he usually is. Alf was snappy at Martha when he was talking to her on the phone. It may come across as being nosey for Leah to ring Martha but that is exactly what Maz would have done if she'd been there.
  6. It did seem that way for Bree, but at last she does seem to be ready to get proper help thanks to Levi of all people. Him saying what would she do if a fellow doctor was in the same position and going through the same thing seemed to have done the trick. Her OCD was very apparent as Levi saw when she was compulsively cleaning the stove. We all have, I think, have a form of OCD but mostly we can keep it under control I like to have all my spice/herb jars in alphabetical order as to me it makes perfect sense. I can definitely see why she wouldn't be willing to go to NDH to get her assessment, too many people around she knows and patients. She also fessed up to Remi, Xander and Dana that she now acknowledges she does need help and apologised to them. I did when Harper mentioned about that night to Tane. Tane had to be cruel to be kind in a way when Perri was hiding himself away, he was right saying that that if he was going down he needed to be outside for one last time. Theo, once again, was very supportive. Very odd that no-one from Perri's old neighbourhood was willing to come forward to testify about Carl's abuse of him, Carl is dead now so no come back for them. Did no-one care? It was moving when Perri scattered Carl's ashes in the sea. Then as said Perri makes another impulsive decision, hope Tane catches up with and talks sense into him. Kirby could have been more understanding about Mali's nervousness/terror about the photo shoot, it's not his scene at all is it? Theo was willing to step up if needed but gladly stepped back for Mali. I would have happily smacked that assistant round the head with a surf board for that snide comment. Once he did relax he did enjoy it, I think it was the silly posing with the boards that was putting him off.
  7. I totally got Eden, is she meant to be overjoyed that Cash has now decided to stay in the bay after the way he treated her. He dumped her because he was scared she'd die. OK she did handle it absolutely the wrong way by jumping into bed with Tim, but he wasn't exactly reluctant was he? He's been sympathetic so to her he'd be someone she could turn to. She was going into work but then she had that set to with Cash. She wasn't a happy bunny, then Remi reveals to Kirby that she's seeing Tim and that was before she slept with him. Did that bedroom door close? Cash did make some valid points when he was talking to Mac about it being awkward having two Senior Constables at Yabbie Creek so his only other alternative would be to quit - again. I can't see this new station Cash was due at being happy at being let down at the last moment. That was a surprise and a good one that Bree admitted to Alf she had hesitated about treating him and walked away which is something she hadn't told anyone before. He even asked her if she was OK and was she getting help. It was going well until she overheard what Remi was saying to Xander though he didn't go into specifics about what what help Bree was getting. I said before Xander had picked up on Bree's OCD and she was doing it again by checking the gas in their flat. Then I remembered when he first came to the bay he had his own way of getting over bad call outs as a paramedic - he got himself tats, so that was why he recognised Bree's problem. He did get himself help. Kirby was going way OTT with Mali and his involvement with the photo shoot because he was treating it so casually but then he got ganged up on. Kirby will be OK with them as she would have done them when she had her short lived solo career. It wasn't a total surprise she scared the out of him by announcing once people see the photos online the whole world will be flocking to the bay. He's just a normal, everyday bloke it would freak most people out. If he is going to be that busy he'll need more staff to run the board shop as he'll up to his neck making new boards.
  8. Strictly speaking Eden isn't a patient of Tim's, it was only the one family session but her sister is so it would be breaching some sort of ethical protocol. Seeing how Tim is having to trek all that way to the bay and back to the clinic it must be costing him so is he going to add all that petrol money onto Levi's bill? He does have some good ideas and suggestions like Abby writing a letter - a proper one on paper - to Eden so she can put her thoughts down in her own time. I can see a lot of screwed up paper being chucked away. Anyways if Eden got involved with Tim be another reason for Abby to be against Eden. I'm guessing Tim has no idea about Eden's recent rather messy break up so wouldn't know how vulnerable she is. Remi did interrupt a rather risque moment - oops - . My thoughts exactly re Eden getting together with Tim would definitely be rebound. Talking of Cash his decision to go seems to have taken a few people by surprise. His and Eden's talk did seem a bit stilted, It did look to me that Eden may have given him a goodbye hug but decided against it. It was mentioned that everywhere would remind him of Felicity so maybe one of the reasons he's going, but as Leah said he'd be all alone there even if he is nearer to Gary but still two hours away. is he really needed there that urgently that he has to go the next day? It did appear he was having second thoughts and that talk with Levi, him looking at the ring. As an aside the lease is going back into Tane's name or perhaps not. Like all soaps any legal stuff gets sorted in an amazingly short time period. Leah and Justin are acting like a new couple joined at the hip/lip. Alf's return did stun a few people, had there been problems with Martha? He has had a few near death experiences in his life but maybe this one was too close. I know Maz can be ditzy at times but she's pretty astute on picking up on people's feelings, he was very quite at the Diner and not himself, even Justin and Leah knew something wasn't right. Bold of Maz, knowing what Alf is like, asking him if there was everything was OK with him and him admitting he didn't know.
  9. OK wrong way round, but still how could Eden and Tim know Levi, Abby were there, could have been at the Diner. It does seem to be a soap thing where people air their dirty linen in public so Mac made the right choice to throw them all out. Even Tim seemed shocked Eden had read Abby's journal. Tim as I said before is a brave soul holding the family counselling session. Nearly worked when Eden and Levi were spelling out Abby's strong points, think it surprised her. Abby has never felt able or given the chance to say what she had been bottling up all these years. They were wise words from Levi about Abby maybe forgiving Eden a little bit. But Eden didn't help herself by storming off. Awkward chat with Eden and Cash about his leaving. I may be getting ahead of myself but wouldn't Eden getting together with Tim be a proverbial case of a rebound relationship? I'm taking it Eden isn't an actual patient of his so he wouldn't be breaking any ethical codes. The Leah and Justin scenes were actually light hearted after the Fowler scenes. John seemed a tad disappointed he wasn't officiating but just being there as a witness. Is it only six months - sorry but it did get mentioned quite a few times. I know I'm going back a bit but Justin hasn't always been up front with Leah about what he has been doing, such as buying the van for Lyrik, sponsoring them using his and Leah's money before he'd even asked her, but he had never cheated. The 'vow' that Leah asked John and Maz promise to keep to tell them if they seemed to be slipping in their renewed vows. A real sign John and Maz are comfortable with the way they are when they could joke about their ship sailing and sinking. John has been a busy boy, helping in the only way John does, offering advice which isn't always welcomed. OK Kirby was being Kirby pushing Mali to be the poster boy for his board shop, he's good looking, though that shouldn't be the main reason, but he can surf and it is his board shop he's promoting so makes total sense. Theo could be roped in, he maybe not be an unbaised customer as he knows them both but he knows the good work Mali does on his boards.
  10. I thought that about Abby and her attitude towards Theo, but like you said Red she did have the grace to apologise to him later. He seemed to understand about her saying it was family troubles, did he mean his own parents or Leah & Justin? I wonder they could be a couple at some time? Tim is a brave soul taking them all on, but he must have clocked it was a family problem so it needed all of them there. We don't know what the age differences are between Levi, Eden and Abby are but that could affect the way they took their father's leaving so differently. Levi, I'm guessing was about to go to med school, Eden was a teenager and Abby a child who may have been a daddy's girl and at that age they do tend to blame themselves for a parent leaving. There may have also been problems between mum and dad they didn't know anything about. Levi did seem taken aback when Mac also threw him out. To be fair how could Eden and Levi have known Abby and Tim were at Salt which caused Abby to think they were ganging up on her. As an aside I hope Mac does have the insurance agreement , now she's sole owner, next on her to-do list. It could be seen as Justin was pushing for him and Leah to talk about 'the' problem when she kept putting it off is a good idea or not. Maybe Leah could go to that retreat and talk it over and get an independent view on it.
  11. Quite a bit going on and yes it was a bad move for Eden to read Abigail's journal, but it is soap law for people to do that, it was writ in large letters that would happen, same as Abigail's comments about Eden, her comments about her mum were written but her comments about Eden were all in caps, It's SHOUTING in print, maybe have got a lot of anger out. I notice we didn't see what she had written about her dad and Levi. It's like eavesdropping that that you never hear something good. I know people on here keep banging on about Abigail's attitude but as was written in the book and she told Eden her feelings weren't taken into consideration when it all went down. I'm guessing maybe it was the old "Oh she's only a kid and wouldn't understand". She, from what she said was close to her dad, but felt she couldn't say anything because of how Eden and her mum were feeling. Would Tim be able to counsel both of them, would that be ethical or a conflict of interest? Abigail does like Mali he's a new person so no history with him. It was a good 'slogan' if you can call it that she came up with. OK we know Kirby can get carried away but really that pair we saw on those photos the agency sent were so OTT. As Mali said they'd probably never even picked up a board, well she wouldn't, be too afraid of chipping a perfect nail. Why not use regular surfers, Kirby would be a very good poster girl, am I allowed to say that? for the board shop, if Nik had still been around, he would have been ideal, he was good looking, a good bod and could surf. That was a tad out of the blue from Xander and any future babies he and Dana may have. I suppose whatever she and Harper went through with their mum and dad would be difficult to talk about, it's only been touched on a couple of times. It's a reverse of Felicity and Tane, him having a happy childhood, even though he found out later his dad wasn't that a good dad to - dare I say her name - Jasmine. But they have only been going out for a few months so not like they are walking down the aisle, not that they have to, so a way ahead yet. Another out of the blue announcement - Cash is leaving! They couldn't really have had two Senior Constables in one small cop shop, very vague him saying it's a rural station. Rather tense moment there between Cash and Eden when he told her. Well we needed some fun which we had curtesy of Leah & Justin. Have we seen that place where they stayed before? It looked like where Heather held Maz, Roo, Alf and Irene. It certainly looked very swish, how is it being paid for, it's only Theo looking after the garage and does the Diner really bring in that much? Justin is not cowboy material. They were skirting round 'the' problem. Those skinny dipping scenes were great fun, bet James and Ada enjoyed them. OK not exactly what the hotel intended but at least new guests could get a real idea of the facilities provided. Leah thought quick on her feet by telling Yarvis there wasn't any warning sign about the CCTV which we saw had fallen over and was hidden. Very good grovelling by him and Leah wangled another day there from him.
  12. Leah certainly shut down Yarvis. But that is what happens in soaps and dramas, people always read something they shouldn't. It's the law.
  13. Perri answered my question about his mum, she had died was buried back in New Zealand. Bree did take it a lot more calmly than I thought she would, unless and I hope I'm not wrong, she was just saying what she thought it was what Remi wanted hear. That is a double edged sword with Bree not wanting anyone - does that include colleagues - knowing about getting help with her problems. I think most people would be wary if the doctor they were seeing had been having treatment for a mental problem. Ditto if said doctor was a recovering alcoholic, drug user. Colleagues would be always watching them. Xander picked up on her OCD the way she was arranging the napkin on the table at the Diner. I felt for Dana being let down at the last moment when Harper took Tane to the reveal scan, even if he nearly missed it as he was involved with Perri and his problem. That was a lovely moment when Harper revealed it was a boy! Tane was so chuffed. I get Dana was narked not knowing if she was an auntie or an uncle, but as Xander gently pointed out she would let it slip. There is going to be police batons at dawn at Yabby Creek cop shop now Cash has been relocated back there now Mangrove cop shop has been closed down. Can that even be done, what about the innocent locals? Who would be more Senior, Rose or Cash? He had been in the job longer but then he quit. They certainly clashed over Perri's charge of murder. I know some on here have claimed Rose is OTT, but she is following correct police procedures and until more evidence is provided I don't think it could be reduced to self defence/manslaughter whatever. Cash is in a difficult position living in the same house as a 'murderer' which is what he should stay out of it as it's conflict of interest. We got a sneaky look at Leah and Justin's breakaway and it appears lots of other folk did too.
  14. Bree is denial about being in denial if that makes any sense. Bree still saying she knew what she was doing by leaving Alf to um 'check on his bloods' and he would have been fine. OK Maz isn't medically trained but even I would have clocked Alf was dangerously ill even without all those machines bleeping and flashing. Initially her requesting Maz to meet up for a drink at Salt seemed a positive move, but that soon went downhill. But Levi did right by not getting involved. Bree did look very nonplussed when Remi caught her out asking Levi to mention the talk she was having with him - OOPS! We all know from our previous experiences on here no-one can be forced to admit they have a problem, let alone see a counsellor. Harper closed down Maz's not so subtle suggestion she and Tane could be an item quite nicely. Tane did offer to go with her to see if any of Perri's old neighbours could back up the abuse Carl had dished out to him, but I think it was likely they were probably scared of him so wouldn't have admitted about hearing anything. That box looked very sealed up, did give an insight of what his family life was like before his dad turned on him. Am I right in believing his mum left which may, but doesn't excuse, why Carl changed? I like to think Perri has decided to bury the father he knew as a young child rather than the one who treated him so badly. I didn't think Perri was going go tell Theo about having to take on responsibility for his dad's funeral. Kind of different thing for Theo if it had been the other way round, he's got a lot of other family. As Tane said, he can only advise, it's got to be down to Perri.
  15. Remi did get through to Bree then! Levi is off the hook, though he never should have been on it. I don't suppose we will know the 'truth' re her 'going on leave'. Could that be an euphemism for garden leave while they decide what Bree's punishment should be? She seemed very blase about it all. Her trying to convince Remi to go travelling didn't go down well. Abi didn't have to tell Eden what happened in her session it was private, though it does seem her anger has now been turned towards Eden as it was her choice to go. I'm guessing that as Perri has been granted bail, awaiting trial, he, as next of kin, would be responsible for sorting Carl's funeral arrangements. If he hadn't would the court/local council have been next in line? He must be torn, because as he said to Tane, although Carl treated him the way he did, he was still his dad. Glad that Tane is there for him to help him through it. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, it'd only be the vicar and Perri there. John tried and failed with his fishing of trying to find out what was happening re Bree, but for once Dana kept her mouth shut, only confiding in Xander. She does know Xander better than John does so maybe not a bad idea to give suggestions for his assignment. First thing would be to find out about the people he's doing the gig for, what their likes are, what they are into.
  16. Bree doesn't know she's in denial, I guess people who are where she is don't. That is of course why she didn't admit to the panel she'd been having problems because she doesn't, it's other people. I'm guessing the panel are people from outside the hospital so won't have any preferences to which ever doctor is under review. OK doctors do disagree how to treat patients, its a given that happens but you don't argue in front of them or their relatives. I do remember Levi and Bree clashed over Remi's treatment when he was brought in and he told her to go as she shouldn't have been there anyway seeing as Remi is her other half. But they can work well together as we saw when they were doing their checks on Felicity. I remember how Bree was cleaning everything in Remi's room and not allowing Kirby, Eden or Theo to see him. Plus of course her dad was dying during all that. Now she's turned it on Levi. We know Levi didn't just 'swoop in' and take over, Marilyn asked him to come and attend to Alf as Bree had wondered off to check his bloods, but wouldn't they have been checked before? Remi is seeing it from a layman's point of view which I dare say Bree will have go at him about as 'he' wouldn't understand. Bloody hell how long did that session with Abi and Tim last? It was broad daylight when they went in and it was dark when they finally emerged. That must have cost Levi a pretty penny. He is good at his job though he got Abi to finally admit it was more than just thinking "Oh OK I'll try some" when offered the drugs. He'd have been there, done that, heard this plenty of times. Interesting to hear Eden's comment when Tim asked about the Lyrik logo on the van, she said it's history. Kirby is back in enthusiastic mode, but she is listening to Mali and liked John's chipping in. about him saying having to spend money to get the right people to do the job.
  17. It did seem Leah and Justin were on a roundabout, going on about the same problem again and again. Him throwing a hissy fit finding out Leah had been talking to Marilyn about their problem and storming off. It was only when he overheard part of Cash and Harper's conversation about knowing who your true love is the penny finally dropped, Leah is his true love so well able to get over this hiccup. Theo has very wisely gone to see his mum to keep out of their way and let them sort it out themselves. I guess we tended to forget Cash and Harper were friends back in the city so good to see them reconnect and talk about their problems, he has been quite distant since losing Felicity and she's been caught up with the pregnancy, Tane and Perri. That was real bad timing that Levi was called to attend the tribunal on the same day/time he was supposed to be taking Abi to her first one-to-one counselling session. Not surprisingly she didn't take it well and having Eden as a substitute didn't help matters. I may be misremembering but wasn't she OK with meeting up again with Eden when she came to Eden and Cash's Engagement party? I can see where Maz is coming from, anyone would feel the same, but Levi can only tell the tribunal what he saw, what he heard at the time. What he had been told by a third party would be hearsay. I'm guessing other medics/nurses who were there would be asked what they saw/heard. As we saw Bree was really on the defensive accusing Levi of muscling in on her patient when she had it all under control - which she didn't. Brief mention of Alf, him calling Maz to check in at the Surf Club.
  18. My thought too would it be down to Rose to let Theo off just because Justin told her he'd been through the same ting with his dad. Wouldn't that have to come from higher up in the police echelon? Tane hasn't dodged anything, he only found out where Perri was that day, it could have gone wrong if Perri had fled, but he took on Tane's words about deciding who he wants to be in future. Theo told it as it was, he came across Perri not long after the fact, he offered to hide him in the garage while Perri wanted to run away. As said before until a full investigation has been carried out murder is the first charge the police bring. No witnesses around only Perri's word for what happened. The defence will dig into Carl's past giving strength to why Perri acted the way he did. His violence to him and him breaking his AVO. Perri can then enter a plea of self defence. Jane did do good, she got Perri out on bail. Talking of Theo, he certainly has come a long way since he first hit town, literally at times, he caused real bother and people on here wanted him gone. But once the reason he was like he was came out, he managed to turn his life round. He found stability with Leah and Justin. One good thing to come out of all this was it brought both Leah and Justin to their senses making them realise they'd been acing like idiots when their problems were very trivial. OK Theo is an adult so can look after himself but he had no-one to turn to to ask for advice without giving the fact a 'fugitive' was hiding in the garage. It was sad for Cash signing away Salt, his last link to Felicity. Hopefully this time Mac takes better care of it though of course there will be some things that would be out of her control. It will mean she'll be more busier than before as no-one to share shifts with. Her and Xander seem to be on a better footing, him joking about how his boss was a bit of a hard taskmaster. Cash got his cop brain working again, he did ask Harper if Tane knew she was in love with him?

  20. Confirmation of what we'd already suspected that Alf had gone to see Martha on the spur of the moment, not surprising after what he found out. Irrespective of the fact that Rose knows Tane and what type of person he is and what he could be capable of, she is having to follow police procedures same as any cop who doesn't know him would have to do. Ditto with her questioning of Perri and now it seems Theo. That as I said before is the problem when the local cop is involved in something big like this, locals expect them to believe what they say and they aren't involved in anything bad. She did get slammed by the once again invisible sarge before when she was lenient with Mali so has to be even more professional. I think and I'm not totally sure, that murder is the first option the police chose when someone is found dead like Carl was. It's not until an investigation is started that other charges can be brought, self defence, manslaughter. We did hear from Perri what had happened, he managed to throw Carl off, he fell into the pool and he hit his head on the bottom. He, naturally panicked, and left him there. For all he knew if he'd got him out he would have started on him again. They didn't see Carl thrusting Perri's head under water so in his mind he was willing to kill his own son. But the police can only go by the evidence, a body which had a cut on it's head, water in the lungs which showed they were alive when they hit the water. That's what Perri has to get across to Jane was it? He's had time to think it through now and get it straight in his mind. Theo admitting he was him hiding Perri, has, mostly, let Tane off the hook for harbouring a criminal/being an accessory to murder after the fact, whatever. Rose was certainly taken aback. Now we know Perri was ready to leave town, it was Theo who suggested he hide out at the garage. Theo hasn't been in the frame at all, but he's stepped up to the mark and gone to the cops and said it was him, not Tane, hiding a fugitive. Harper did sort of have an interest in Perri, wasn't she his SW before he turned 18 so would be concerned for him as she knew his history. I guess Aunty Leah and Uncle Justin won't be best pleased, but at least it'll take their minds of their own now trivial problems. Theo was very wise by refusing to take sides or even listen to their whinges. I'm hoping Tane would have made a similar comment if that duty solicitor had been a young male and he'd called him a 'lad'. It did show his age a tad, as people of my age do tend to think anyone who looks too young can't be capable of their job be it cop, doc or solicitor. They do have to start off somewhere after all. She may be more than competent. Great minds think alike Red, about Justin throwing his toys out of the pram. It was a totally innocent question Leah asked him, what he got up when staying in the motel room, as in maybe watching TV, playing music, reading. Maz was her usual annoying self, not just nudging Justin and Leah to talk but positively pushing them. It would have worked if - see above.
  21. I think Abigail may fancy Mali as he isn't judgemental of her and taking her at face value. They liked similar things even though she's not into surfing. His words did have the right effect as she said she'll be civil to Kirby while on duty but it'll be a different matter off duty. Did at the look on her face when John handed over his do's and dont's instruction book. Liked Mali's comment about if anyone liked to cross his 't's and dot his 'i's it's John. Theo did the right thing by telling Tane that he knew where Perri was, seeing as he found out it would look worse for him if he kept away. Tane made a good point when Ruby kept asking was he sure Perri wasn't hiding at the Parata's Tane, as he pointed out a cop also lives here. Tane, luckily got it right, by letting Perri decide what sort of man he wanted to be in the future, though he did take a chance. The cops didn't know what sort of guy Carl was so yeh Carl could have easily attacked Perri again. As Perri pointed out Carl ignored his AVO and they didn't do anything about it, but they couldn't be everywhere, not exactly as if there were posters up warning people to keep an eye out for him and he was pretty devious when making his appearances. Hopefully the police will let Perri give his side of it. Bree, as people always do, always lash out at their nearest and dearest when in times of crisis this time it falling on Remi. As we have learnt over time in the bay people can't be forced to accept they need help when it's offered, they have to acknowledge it first The old phrase "Physician heal thyself" comes to mind. When Dana and Bree started to work together again they were supposed to be BB's weren't they - the dream team. I'm guessing Remi and Kirby and maybe even Bob first got to know Eden then by default Levi? Abigail was just a kid so it was simple in her mind, Kirby and Remi did take Eden away when she needed her. But Eden was also at fault too by ducking out of the situation and leaving Abigail to it.
  22. Guess we know now why Alf has left the bay after finding out what really nearly happened to him. OK as Levi pointed out to Bree all doctors can make mistakes and Alf's sudden deterioration was very sudden so any doc would have been caught on the hop, but most would have snapped back and got on with saving him. What would have Bree done if it had been the other way around? No doctor wants to report a colleague/friend but their loyalty and duty is to their patients. I like Bree and until now she has been a very good, caring doctor, it's only since she feels she 'lost' Felicity, she's been over cautious. I can't remember if it was Michelle suggesting the meetup with Cash or the other way round and yes it may not always be a good thing, but at other times it really helps the donor's families to know the recipient is doing well with their life which they may not have had without the transplant. Maz like anyone else would have been seeing it as any layman/woman would, imagine if it had been Roo? She wouldn't have let it rest. Maz had, to be fair, kept the truth from Alf about how bad he was. The board, I'm guessing, will want to question anyone who was there and what happened when Alf collapsed and Bree fleeing. Dana wasn't there when it happened, but she had seen previous incidents where Bree had been distracted. What is this term 'ickle'? Harper is a grown woman. But as Rose said the longer Perri stays in hiding the worse it will look for him. When will Leah start noticing food is missing? It is only Remi and Kirby Abigail has a problem with as she feels they took Eden away from her to leave her looking after her mum after the dad left, she was just a kid. Mali she gets on well with but he does need to tell her to pull her neck in. OK group therapy sessions don't work for everyone so maybe an one to one therapist will work.
  23. Tane hadn't a good relationship with the cops in the past so I can understand why he's ansty and wanting to be protective of Perri. He did admit to John, he'd taken his eye off the ball with him, but Carl was a sneaky type creeping around when no-one else was there. Michelle was a good character and came to realise Cash was holding onto Felicity by keeping her around. It was a sad goodbye but she urged Cash to move on with his life like she has to with hers by going home. His decision to go back to work was a positive sign but sadly for Eden him moving on didn't include her. At least he wasn't ignoring her or biting her head off. I'm with Justin too - OK he made a huge error by not telling Leah about his ferrying Claudia around but he's held his hands up now and Claudia has also told her Justin did nothing wrong, it was all on her. Maybe this will spur Claudia into leaving Eric, as that is one toxic relationship. I'd forgotten Zac had cheated on her but she can't hold that against every man. How long as she known Justin, he may do some dumb things but a cheat! What if that had been the other way round, Leah was 'seeing' someone and their wife had told Justin Leah was having an affair with them. I like to think he'd wouldn't believe it as readily as Leah did and ask her about it and listen. It certainly took the wind out of her sails when he walked out. Pity Theo is tied up looking after Perri or he could put his two pennth into it. He was there when Eric rocked up. I have said before, Alf was pretty out of it when he had his heart attack, the last thing he would have remembered was Bree standing there, then later when he came round others were fussing round him. Maz had done well keeping her counsel but then had to fill Alf in. Levi, like a lot of doctors in the past, must have had doubts about reporting a colleague to the Medical Board, especially as Bree has been a very good doctor until now although they have had their clashes, but he did the right thing. He was very circumspect when he was talking to Mac about it. It was Bree herself who revealed it was her who Levi had reported her by announcing it in Salt for all to hear. We did see in the trailer Bree was grilling Dana about what she was going to say. Before that Mac looking into getting a loan to buy Cash out and Levi saying he'd lend her the money and her saying no. That could be read two ways, she knows he'll be having to pay Imogen something, paying her for his half of their house so money would be tight? The other thought which occurred to me is OK he lends her the money, what happens if they split - yes I'm being pessimistic or cynical - would he want the money back right away. She may feel awkward suggesting they get it writing and done legally implying they won't last for whatever reason.
  24. Alf was playing his role of devil's advocate very well, by trying to get Leah to see Justin's side of it and arranging the meeting between them. Even then she wouldn't listen. Justin took the bit between his teeth by driving back and persuading Claudia to come back with him to explain what really had been going on. Thankfully Leah did listen to her, but still no real explanation as to why she believed a complete stranger even if she didn't like Claudia. I remember now she was trying to get hold of Claudia and then tried their home number. I don't think she arranged to meet him he just turned up. If I was Justin I'd be more upset that she didn't trust him. When has he ever given her any reason he'd cheat? OK he was economical with the truth but a cheat? Besides that he could have been lying hurt somewhere or even dead. Justin had been ferrying Claudia around because of the accident caused by Theo's 'neglect' and he didn't want her suing him. Definitely Cash being more invested in Michelle than the other way round or should we say obsessed. She's too nice for her own good by letting him talk her out of going home. Eden is one step back so can see it more clearly, but of course Cash took it as her interfering. John, naturally had to be the one to break the news about Carl's death and the fact Perri was awol. The fact the police have put a WANTED poster up will not encourage him to come forward. That is one big problem when you are the local cop and the people you may need to interview are friends/neighbours as they expect you to believe them but it doesn't work that way. She has to, as a cop, follow procedures. We do know people do lie or tell half truths. Tane hadn't been arrested so was perfectly within his rights to leave. The police/CSI guys and gals would have done what they needed to do. We did see in the trailer - so no spoiler - Alf finds out what really nearly happened to him which is what I said. He was out of it so thought it was Bree who helped him.
  25. You can't really blame Perri for doing a runner, he and his family doesn't have a good rep with the cops. Tane is getting flak not watching over him and Rose is wearing her cop hat so would have to follow procedures and go by the facts and evidence in front of her, she can't speculate on what might have happened, though having said that why ask Tane to accompany her and her buddy to the cop shop? One BIG bit of proof is the knife Carl very handily left stuck in the table along with the ASBO. Theo, I get why he felt sympathy for Perri before, they both had bullies for dads so may have been a gut reaction why he's hiding him at the garage. That will backfire when Justin comes back to the garage - if he should - seeing how he hardly goes there - but he may spot a sleeping bag lying around. Agree with others on here why is Leah so willing to believe Eric over Justin? OK so he's made a terrifically bad decision not to tell Leah about Claudia as their first/second meeting didn't go down well, but still no reason to believe Eric, does she really think Justin would have an affair. He's just a friendly guy who likes to help people of either sex. That dream sequence was a bit odd - if he'd been that scared of her he could have locked the doors. Then it was revealed it was Leah having the dream - even more bizarre. Claudia did seem vey needy, maybe not getting the attention from Eric so latching onto any guy who is nice to her? Re telephone calls/texts or lack of from Justin, he did say it was a very poor reception where they were once he got through, it does still happen. I'm guessing he must have got a lift from someone at some point. Claud didn't seem to be receptive to Justin's request that she tell Leah what really happened. Finally Bree - Alf would be friendly towards her, he was pretty out of it when it all went down and he likely thinks she saved him. Maz did well by not blurting out the truth, he's just got over one heart attack wouldn't want him having another one. Once he was out of earshot she did tell her she hadn't forgotten what had nearly happened. Bree is really in denial, blaming Levi for 'taking over' when she had it all under control, she's even lying to Remi about seeing her therapist. Did chuckle at Alf's comments to Maz, "I'm OK, I'm not overdoing it". Then Leah rocks up with all her cases with her tale of woe. Alf is big softie regards Leah, but he will want the full story and why she thinks Justin has cheated.
