Of course as soon as anyone says they haven't seen so and so for a while they pop up. Alf did compliment John but in his usual gruff way. Poor John he couldn't do right for doing wrong could he? Mali didn't 'help' either saying actions spoke louder than words which Xander took, probably mistakenly, that he should go in for a kiss with Dana. Irene did to her credit hold out, but then she did crack, it must have been the same day as she was supposed to be at the Diner in the morning wasn't she? She didn't come across as having had a drink, OK two, just said she had a bad night and slept in and was just grumpy. She certainly ripped into Dana who didn't deserve it. John made up for his poor judgement with Xander and Dana by being there for Irene, no judgement, just listening, offering to walk her home. More apologies from Irene to Dana who accepted them again. Rather drastic Dana calling her relationship with Xander toxic which is why she ended it. To Irene, of course, it's her relationship with booze that was toxic, hence her pouring the rest of it it down the sink. Hope she disposes of the bottle carefully so Dana doesn't get the wrong idea. I thought Mali and Tane had got over their initial hump over Levi and were slightly easier with him being there? Or is Tane just there to relieve Mali in his baby sitting duties? Levi still can't drive then as Mali took and brought him back from the hospital. What were his injuries, he seems to be rather stiff on his right side and holding his arm very awkwardly. No way could have Levi known about Ari so it wasn't his fault he inadvertently put his foot in it. Not Mac's story to tell really and it's an either or situation with her not having said anything, Tane may not want this family history talked about, especially to Levi but Tane and her were close, very nearly very close, back in the day Ari and her closer still but then that is something else Levi doesn't know about does he? OK, OK it was long before she and Levi knew each other and it shouldn't matter about who had dated who in the past but seeing as his brother is living in the same house it could be awkward. Good advice from Alf - him again - to Tane but I did when he said you had to set out boundaries for the young folk to follow. Didn't always work for him with Roo did it?

To my mind the only thing that alerted Xander to Bronte being a wrong 'un was her saying Dana had rung her and they'd settled things and Dana had told her about going on this retreat. He was on a hiding to nothing, him either practically stalking her with all those texts, then backing off. It was good, finally them actually talking face to face even if it didn't really solve anything. We haven't seen Maz so don't know her opinion on what Irene 'put them through'. Leah found out she and Justin had got their money back. I don't suppose you'd know what to say if you hadn't been the initial dupe and got others involved in what you thought was a genuine cause. Irene must have felt especially low if she was tempted enough to buy a bottle of booze, but her will power won over her urge so good for her. Btw why do offies or wherever Irene got hers have to put it in a brown bag? You could innocently be buying a bottle of plonk. That is the thing though lads/men like Rory who come from a dysfunctional family or don't have one do get drawn into gangs who become their new family. The downside side is they expect the same kind of loyalty. Dare say that is how Brax, Heath and Casey got into the RB's, I don't think they were the first who had that name were they? He, from what he told Flick does have brothers somewhere, I believe what he told Felicity was true and so the decision is hers. He did admit he's been nicked for things he had done, but hadn't done any prison time, wonder why? He could be torn liking Flick but the fact Cash is a cop is getting in the way. Don't forget Brax fell for one - Charlie. Flick jumped into bed with Tane's lawyer Marshall cos he was , and she did that all by herself. just because Rory isn't as smart, dress wise it shouldn't be held against him. Joanne Devlin does know Rory and the RB's a lot better than Cash does, though she could be prejudiced which wouldn't be surprising.

In case it gets lost in my ramble - re Bronte sending letters from Canada, it can be done. If she knows someone there she can send letters to them in an envelope with another one inside addressed to her victims in Aus, this person them sends 'her' letter off - easy peasy. They may or may not be innocent of why she was asking them to do that. In effect she is/was still 'coning' them making them feel so good about themselves that they helped her. Anyways good to get an update re Bronte - Irene wasn't the old fool, idiot some people on here think she was. Two other people plus the people that they may have involved had been conned by Bronte and one or either of them still were - see above. I'm guessing those folks won't be getting their money back as she's spent it. I don't remember Xander having a hand in getting their money back, he believed Bronte. It was mainly down to Dana's stubbornness, Bree tipping the cops off about Bronte's lies, Rose making the arrest, and got the legal wheels turning, stopping any movements in Bronte's account - not sure how it works in Aus. Irene is really blaming herself for falling for it, but as Rose, Harper, Leah have said Bronte was well practised at it. Mac and Flick aren't hard nosed business women, but no push overs and they fell for Bronte's "I'm dying' line. I'm supposing they will get their donations back? It's the emotional cost that will take longer to get over. I'm surmising as Rose has all this info Bronte has confessed? It wasn't a charity it was a GoFundMe page, but like I said before I hope they donate any monies not re-claimed to a registered charity specifically one who do help people with autoimmune disease. Dana had a real meltdown, but still disappointed Harper didn't get it with both barrels for not believing her, she saving that for Xander. Dana I still think saw Irene as a victim of her own goodness so that is why she was so willing to forgive her. I know it could seem to some she's taking it too far and Harper pulled her up on it, calling it a pity party. But my flabber was gasted when he texted to say she owes him an explanation. I know I shouldn't but I did when Rory saw Cash at Mango River cop shop, the way his smirk slid off his face was priceless. Cash was natch just as shocked. Dingo hadn't seen Cash before so had no clue who he was or that he had a connection to Cash. He had flirted with Flick though. We haven't met the rest of the RB's but Devlin did say Rory is the leader so what he says go. Dingo was lippy. Seeing how big the cop shop was there aren't that many staff, having your place of work firebombed is hardly encouraging. We have seen Constable Devlin before I think it was her that was called into help at Yabbie Creek? Was it to help with the bikers? Cash then had to break some bad news to Flick, at least he hasn't told her not stop seeing Rory but asked her. Then Rory confirmed the news, it now leaves the decision up to her. Why were they or TPTB being so coy about not calling them RB's? Maybe they have devolved somewhat since Dean's days.

That could be very misleading, didn't Perri say he got off the bus and came back to see him?

That sign did make me smile. I'm taking it they don't include anyone who has died there otherwise it'd likely be a lot lower. We did, very briefly, see MR back in Brax's day when he visited his mum. I think it was when he was trying to sort out who Kyle was. It actually hasn't been confirmed out loud that Rory and Dingo are RB's. Only we know because of Mali's connection to Dean who had/has his own connection to them. Definite confirmation with what Rory wants on his board. That will be a real shocker for John, Alf and co who knew not just the original RB's but Dean's lot. Shame we won't be seeing Dean - I can't believe Mac hadn't told him about her heart attack and ops. She does owe it to him to tell him about Levi face to face. It will make it a tad awkward with Tane and Mali not being Levi's closet buddies. I thought there had been a thawing between Mali and Levi? Has time leapt forward a bit as it seemed only the other day Mali had gone off home for 'a while'. It is very teasing of TPTB that despite Cash's new job keep being mentioned no-one has actually said what it is. Seems both Cash & Rory are going to be in for a shock. Knowing Cash as we do he'll definitely be warning Rory off Flick and vice versa. I did notice when Flick was explaining to Rory about why she and Cash were so close and she asked about his family - he just casually said he had 'brothers'. Brax and Heath RB's weren't total innocents, they did grow that marijuana and sell it. Attacked Angelo when he followed them, used their muscle when it was needed. I do remember Leah got the hots for Brax when he took VJ under his wing. Say what you like about Eden she is loyal to Cash and is ready to support him in his new venture, though just being a cop can be dangerous as we've seen, but being a cop in MR will double, triple that risk so it will be worrying for her as it will be for Felicity. I do hope we see more of the guys on the programme, be a bit flat otherwise. Where has it been said Perri is the 'easy' one?

I was so waiting for Harper's grovelling and begging for forgiveness from Dana. The only one who apologised was Irene. I think it was even Tane that mentioned her. Mayhap we'll see them together next week. Maybe a forlorn hope but I hope we see Bronte - if that is her real name - go to trial or hear about it. It'll be satisfying to see/hear how long she gets. Also if other victims of hers will be brave enough to admit they were conned. But Harper isn't 'hanging off Tane' she is doing her job as SW and going through the applicants for his course/programme. Mostly minor offences from what we heard, they did apply to join so it wasn't an 'it's this or prison' choice and the usual suspects turned up. The middling ones who could go either way, the inevitable lippy 'bad un' and the maybe deceiving quite one. Bruises do take a while to come out. We didn't see Remi and Bree hiding on the stairs before so had overheard Kirby and Theo talking about their plan which is why R&B walked down pretending to be having an argument. That was very clever of them the next day, Remi sulking, Kirby unable to get hold of Bree, really making them suffer. I may be one of the few but I want them back together. One thing though Kirby was rather slow not noticing Bree was buttoning up her dress and tying her belt when Theo and her caught Remi and Bree talking after their 'morning delight'. I have to say at least TPTB are making Levi's recovery realistic by having it gone on as long as they have like they did with Remi's. Normally someone is stabbed, shot they are up and about the next week, rather like Justin's amazing recovery. We haven't seen him, Levi, topless yet so won't know if he has a scar or not. Levi did find out Eden was working at Salt so he won't be able to just drop in. Mac fretting she's chased her housemates away with her behaviour. I'm guessing Dean's call is a follow up to Mali's SOS and wants to check if everything has been sorted. Will we actually see him?

WOW John you turned out the real hero in all this - standing in front of Chase's pick up despite the risk of being run down. Taking her to the cop shop, taking her home after she rejected Xander and making sure she was OK. Hope she got that cut seen to. Dana certainly gave Bronte what for when she tried to turn it on Chase and throw him under the bus, he didn't have nothing to do with it, it was all Bronte. Satisfying end to Bronte's scheming. Does anyone know where that place was, looked like it had been someone's home seeing as it was called the Jefferson Quarry Estate. Rose and the rest of the Yabbie Creek cops did a bloody good job getting there as quick as they did, they have been busy lately, then go for months not doing anything. That was a lovely little ad lib from Rose . Initially Dana accepted Xander's hug when he found her, probably more relief than anything else. But it was John she turned to later. Xander can't really be that surprised can he? Though saying that OK he's her boyfriend so should have believed her, but what about Harper she didn't and she's her sister! She stood by her when they had all that trouble with Dana's ex so why didn't she trust her this time? Where is Harper btw? is she just going to drift in and be brought up to date with a quick run down? Great minds think alike Red, John was fence sitting about Dana and Bronte, he had the feeling, though wrong, Dana was jealous of Bronte effectively elbowing her way into Irene's affections. He wasn't overly supportive of everyone donating money to her, but not quite saying she was lying. Going off on that infamous tandem again, Mac is looking after Levi, Flick has gone off with Rory, Xander had gone racing after Bronte so who was looking after the store AKA Salt? Bronte did shoot herself in the foot but she was getting desperate How come it came down to Bree informing Irene and Leah that Dana had gone missing, Bronte had been arrested for fraud, kidnapping? I know I know everyone has been banging on and on and on about Irene being gullible, stupid, chose your own words, BUT that is the type of people Bronte and her like pick on, she said so herself. But and I know I've said this before, but she caught Irene at an vulnerable time. Irene had just been for her check up and while waiting there would have been the fear the cancer had come back. The relief she would have felt then learning about Bronte's 'diagnosis' would have made her feel very lucky. Leah and others in the bay would trust Irene and believe her, so she is going to feel so guilty about leading them on, but she didn't. They don't have to physically 'see' her medical records. Would you ask for someone's medical records if you heard they had a terminal illness? Dana showed she was certainly the bigger woman by forgiving Irene, maybe she could get why Irene fell for the lies. Others not so much. Rose, OK, she did come into at a much later stage and needed proof, real proof before she could do anything. Leah, another debatable one, ditto Marilyn. I know it's not that relevant, it's the emotional toil that's been taken on by the bayers, but I'm supposing the money is still in Bronte's GOGUNDME account which they can get back as she hasn't run off with it? Leah I would imagine get her and Justin's A$25,000 back into their account, Irene won't need to re-mortgage, but what about all the other money that has been donated, 10% of Salt's takings, the Diner's, individual's like Harper, Mac and co. I'd like to think they would want to donate it to a charity that supports people who have autoimmune disease for real. That would be a real kick in the teeth for Bronte or whatever her real name is. YAH BOO SHUCKS to her. Anyways away from all that - we had some lightheartedness with Bree confessing she missed Remi and Kirby having a moment she get them back together. took a bit of persuading on her part to convince Theo he should pitch in. Where is it written it has to be complicated to get a couple together, sometimes simple is best. Those looks Bree and Remi were giving each other were pretty hot. Didn't take long for Bree and Remi to clock they'd been set up. We did see the teaser for today, and I did think Remi was winding Theo and Kirby up by saying their plot had failed and we saw he was.

Irene and Leah are still in the dark about Dana going missing as is Harper. Off subject a tad, but a silent retreat would be more Maz's thing, defo as has already been said NOT Dana's. Is it odd that it was three guys - Alf, John and Xander getting their heads together and working it out? It is usually us ladies who put the pieces together. Give Bronte her due, somewhat, she is consistent about what Dana told her, no elaborating. She was getting jittery about them not having enough but has been persuaded to stay until Leah, Irene and Maz get the final balance so she can go. Alf wasn't happy about the 'bright' idea about what customers pay is going into Bronte's purse - sorry - her GoFundMe page. Irene said what I said Bronte hasn't asked anyone for money, they've donated it. I've been saying that about Bronte's "I'm feeling faint", "I need a lie down" comebacks when questioned about her illness or her treatment. She even tried it on with Rose, plus the "I need to take my medication" one but she was unfazed. Even kept cool when Rose revealed this hospital didn't have records of her. Maybe not the best idea to agree to let Bronte take her records down to the station later, but they had nothing to hold her on. Dana may come in for a lot of flak but she did keep quite about who told her about Bronte not attending any hospital in the state. Handy Bree just happened to be at Salt when John and Xander were talking about this mysterious someone and she spoke up and admitted it was her. That way they could go in mob handed to Rose and ask that she question Bronte. Having a doc on your side would carry a bit more clout. Maybe just me or is it normal for someone to dump a shipping container in what looked like a quarry which no-one has mentioned before? Give John and Xander some dues, they were quick off the mark following Bronte when she drove by in Irene's car. Loved John's "I'll drive". Good decision on his part not to get too close that road was pretty deserted and she would have seen them, he did well guessing she had turned off where she did. John didn't seem to know it so how the heck did Bronte know about it? Chase not totally dumb then, he took the ignition keys with him when he came back to the container so Dana had to do a runner. I'm hoping John/Xander called the cops. Problem is with Xander and John calling out Dana's name if she answers Bronte and Chase will know where she is. Kind of side story with Tane and Mali with Mali deciding to go home for a while until his break up with Rose has faded a bit. Be easier for them both, Tane knows how hard it is to see your ex round the place.

Hardly an affair - a one night/morning stand. Cash and Eden knew when to make a discreet exit. Not a new thing for Flick she soon got with Tane and I guess from what Cash hasn't said is it was par for the course with her. Cash did fall into cop/big brother mode when Rory introduced himself, asking what does he do, where's he from. It was neatly avoided what job Cash was going for as that may have wiped the smile off Rory's face. Then 'we' saw Rory's dark side, was that Dingo we saw - that lad looked a lot younger. From where Flick was looking it seemed Rory was putting a caring hand on his shoulder but 'we' know it was more threatening. We and Cash found out why there was a vacancy at Mango River - the cop he was replacing had been killed. Hardly the best incentive to join them. The townies/bayers, have followed Irene's lead because they trust her and what she has told them about Bronte. Bronte didn't ask anyone for money, Irene and the others offered it to help poor Bronte who needed to get her treatment in Canada. When the donations have been made she has been so grateful saying "I can't take this" and being soo 'umble about it. She's only upped the pressure now because of Dana and needs to get outa town pretty damn quick. I'm supposing it was because Alf had been away he was able to see it with more open eyes and a clearer brain. Xand and Harper did miss Dana a lot quicker than I thought they would, which has put Bronte in a spot. Totally proved Bronte didn't know anything about Dana, her making that claim to Xander she'd rung her at Irene's saying she'd gone to a silent retreat and apologised to her - . He did click right away that wasn't Dana. As Alf pointed out Dana, for all her faults, would let Harper or Xander know where she'd gone. Bronte was pretty deft with Dana's phone, letting Harper think it had to voice mail. John seemed to have been the voice in the wilderness , though sympathising with Bronte he wasn't willing to put in any more money as he had his doubts. Bronte, as we now know had done this before, maybe even she thought having seizure's would be overdoing it. We do see Bree 'confessing' she accessed Bronte's medical records which were mythical. Not a new thing people saying they have cancer and other illnesses, but really have to play it clever now as people can go on the internet and find out a lot more than they used to be able to.
-
Please stop calling them idiots! If we didn't know she was lying how could they be supposed to know? Bronte's been forced to overplay her hand there with some folk, still doing her "I feel faint" act - but I think it's to make Dana look bad and come across as a 'bad' person for accusing her of lying and she's panicking. As Bronte finally admitted to Dana Irene was her third victim so had perfected her "I'm dying" routine. She had been extremely lucky that she hadn't met someone like Dana before, but I guess that is the risk any con artist takes. Suzy got away with it didn't she? She, Bronte, didn't look too happy when Irene said it would take a little bit longer to get her share of the A$25,000 into her GoFundMe account because banks being banks have to go through the process. She took a risk by being snappy with Alf not knowing the sway he has with folk, but made up for it later by crawling round him. He did have his 'y sense working though. Bree took a big chance by using her more elevated status to delve into Bronte's medical treatment in any other hospital in the state. Those supposed blood tests she had to 'confirm' she'd been poisoned certainly wouldn't have been at ND's she would have been seen or not and no records of her there. Bree suggested she could have come from out of state but as Dana said Bronte met Irene in a hospital in the city. For all her being a big mouth at times Dana has kept Bree's name out of it. Wonder if Bree will 'come out' when it's realised Dana is missing? We did see Bronte make a huge **** up next week - her telling Xander and Alf Dana has emailed/texted her about where she is and she's OK. As Alf pointed out why would Dana contact Bronte - they aren't exactly BB''s - and not Xander or Harper? That was lucky - or not - for Cash seeing where he's been posted. Maybe they are desperate for anyone to work at Mango River. Even keeping him at his original position and pay grade, wonder what the turn over in staff is? Didn't know Mango River had a cop shop?
-
RR you called him 'saint' Tane - he's never pretended to be one. Natch there will be hiccups with the programme, it wouldn't be real if there wasn't. There will be some stomping off, others pretending to go along with it but hen finding they like whatever is involved and we don't know what that is yet. To be fair the reason the people involved with Bronte are being idiots is because we know the truth. When Bronte fetched up with Irene she didn't know about her being half owner in the Diner all she knew was she had a nice house on the beach, so immediately phoned her 'friend' to let them know they were onto a good one. Dana does go at it like a bull at a gate, subtle isn't in her vocabulary. Harper who knows her best, doesn't believe her but then she is distracted with YKW. Off on a tandem again - sorry - but I keep getting distracted by the fact Dana and Bronte have the same hair, if I saw them from behind I'd be hard pushed to know which one is which. Bronte does certainly know how to think on her feet but then she'd have to. The money Bronte has made so far isn't enough to pay for this 'treatment' she is supposed to be having and Irene is easy money. Dana dropping Irene in it by revealing to Leah what she was planning backfired on her as Leah has decided to put up A$25,000 as long as Justin agrees, which he will as he believes Bronte. At least Leah was going to check with him first unlike Justin who puts their money into schemes then tells Leah what he has done. Good come back with Dana challenging Bronte about going shopping, she was buying a dress to be buried in. I was waiting for her to say "What were you doing snooping about in my room?" Xander was acting on ex paramedic mode there, believing in Bronte over his girlfriend. but then as is her wont, got faint. Rose, as would be expected, although not dismissing Dana's allegations, didn't take them seriously as there is NO proof. But as seen by the trailer that is about to come crashing down. No surprise there is no patient anywhere called Bronte Langford as there is no such person. I'm having short term memory loss, who was it recently left their number on a coaster for Flick? As I said it doesn't have to be anything serious/heavy, just drinks or a meal. She'd just be dipping her toe into the pool. Eden has met him and although we don't know how good a judge of character she is, she's not daft. Flick could tell Cash/Eden where she and Rory are going and when she hopes to get back home. Cash, of course, doesn't know he's a RB but then no-one else does yet - only us - again. Him and Eden - pushing Flick into getting out there - did prompt him to take his own advice and ring Police HQ about his application after dithering about it and asking Rose's opinion. That was a nice not quite a job chat with her - she shot down his fears he wouldn't be allowed back as the criteria he quoted didn't apply to him. Would he allowed to go back to Yabbie Creek seeing as he was Senior Constable there and now Rose is meaning she'd be his boss? It's against soap law though isn't that a character can't work near where they live.
-
Tane - what is with this saint stuff - just wants to do the best he can, he may have coerced Harper into helping him, and she was backed into a corner by Alf, but she's not doing it for him, it's for the lads who are going to be, hopefully, signing up for this course, assignment. If they can keep it professional, it could work. Where had John disappeared to btw? Felt sorry for her poor instructor who she was taking her frustrations out on, as well as Dana. Seemed Dana had been giving Irene a wide berth so avoiding a row, then they do just that. Leah is back and steps right into the Irene paying out of her own pocket debate. That took another step too as we saw in the trailer. OK Harper is confused about she should be doing re Tane, but her totally ignoring Dana's very real instincts about Bronte isn't going to end well. How did Dana manage to sneak into Bronte's room and gather up all the stuff she had brought, where was the person in question? Thought she was too ill to go shopping. Were we supposed to believe Bronte was having another lie down in her room when Irene, Bronte and Harper having yet another talk about her, they weren't exactly quiet. Going off on a tandem again - I liked Harper's jacket. But families like Mali's do stick together, we may not always like them or get on with them, but when push comes to shove you stand with them. Rory and Ringo were just there to see nothing dodgy happened, it was a one on one fight and neither Brax or Heath would have joined in - RB code. Well after all that drama we needed the light relief. Eden having to get up before 10am, Remi teasing her about it. To be fair she did last the whole day. That was fun, the 'non' flirting between Rory and Flick - nearly there, Flick didn't throw Rory off but Flick's remark about him 'not wolf whistling' from my balcony' was close. His comment about her rushing up to tell him off and her flustered come back "I own the place". There was such a spark between them, from her first hidden smile when she walked away from him and her keeping an eye on the 'rowdy' customer. Eden caught on very quickly even the threat of getting fired on her first day didn't deter her and Flick was protesting too much. She did take the coaster with Rory's number on. Good grief it doesn't have to be anything serious, just a couple of dates, a bed doesn't have to be involved in any way. That was funny Kirby having a whinge about her luck or lack of with boyfriends and Theo and Remi looking nonplussed. Maybe a 'present company excepted' comment there. It seemed Eden is OK with Mac turning up at Salt, as it's not her she has the problem with, it's still Levi, though she gave the appearance she was glad he was home.

True Harper was very willing to be a comfort to Tane when they both thought he would be going to prison, but that was before Tane asked her to help him, but she was finding it too awkward though she could have given him another name, was it official or him just bouncing ideas off her? She can't be the only SW at ND's. FF - But that was exactly why Mali left his home town for the bay so he could stand on his own two feet, which he has done very successfully until now. No-one knew he'd done that as he didn't tell anyone. They were still treating him like the baby of the family and he was still running about for them. Elandra tracked him down and made him tell Victoria. I suppose if no-one is saying anything there isn't much the police can do. How long are Yabbie Creek able to hold the Allen's? Pembi - funny how though when people make calls on the beach NO-ONE is around. Same as clandestine meetings - place is deserted. Had to smile when John was spouting off about how Alf would react about Tane and his ideas only to find out he was standing right next to him. I think, and I'm probably wrong, but John was just focusing on those 'highlighted' passages we saw. Where are people turning him in to a saint? He has been there, done that with brothers you look up to and he's lost both of his so trying, I think, to make Mali see he shouldn't feel he's failed Iluka. John wasn't a young man when we first knew him as a bully and used his influence as a councillor to sway opinions to his way so what do we blame that on? He was a completely different man when he came back. OK Iluka has gone now, but will that be the end of it - as said the Allen's are still in the area, they aren't going to be happy . Iluka was right, Mali's board shop and surfing lessons are his dream. Kirby will be relieved to see him back, take the pressure off her. Finally Dr. Levi - as Maz insists on calling him - is home, the nurses must be ultra relieved. Not exactly the peaceful homecoming he was expecting with Mali bursting in. I can very much understand Mac wanting Iluka to leave as in her eyes he did bring trouble on them, he admitted it himself. She may think of Mali as 'family' but Iluka isn't. But and I know it sounds naff but Mali was innocent of anything, he didn't know the trouble Iluka had got himself into, he tried to return the money himself with no joy. We did get to meet, briefly, Rory, he's lucky Flick didn't chuck him off the balcony for the whistle, I may be letting the side down, but I wouldn't be averse to one, then at my age I'd be lucky to get one, it'd make my year.
-
Iluka had supposedly been under Elandra's and mum's 'care' so she and Victoria didn't do such a great job they? He did skip Manataray Point with all that dosh and keeping stchum so all Mali was doing was covering up for him, he did tell him to go and sort it taking the money with him. Iluka does flit from one new idea to another. His footie future has nose dived now he wants to take up Mali's suggestion to help at the board shop and doing surfing lessons, thinking "Oh I'll be a whiz at that" without really thinking it through. It did seem the Hudson women are the ones in control - very matriarchal. Elandra insisting Iluka go home and face Mum before coming back, is she going to send him to his room without any supper. She did a 360 degree turn from never involving the police to grassing them up no wonder Mali was angry/perplexed. Same thing as the Dingle code. According to her they had never had any problems with the Allen's before until Iluka messed with Nat's feelings and stole money off them. Of course the Allen's aren't going to be saying anything - I guess they have a handy brief they can call on. To be fair to Mali, his other secrets haven't been criminal or illegal. He 'hid' the truth about Levi's affair with Mac as he saw Mac as a sister. The last one was not telling Rose that Tane had called him but instead went to see him - taking Harper with him - hoping he could talk him round which he did. It had only been that day so not a secret really. Think about it though suppose Rose had a secret that she didn't want Xander to know about for whatever reason would she confide in Mali if she thought he'd tell Xander. No you'd want to tell someone you could trust not to say anything. But when it does involve crims like the Allen's it could risk her career. They were a good couple so it is sad. Not sure if Iluka was brave or foolhardy or maybe both approaching Levi and apologising for getting him involved - he accepted it OK but Mac so didn't, telling him not to be there when they got home, I'm guessing that includes Mali. OK Iluka was an idiot skipping the hospital, but it just that a hospital not a prison, they don't chain you to the bed. OK not a baby found on the beach this time round but a big brother. Even more proof that doctors are the worst patients - Levi wanting to be home last week and nagging Bree every time he saw her. Bree broke patient confidentially again - told Levi how Iluka was doing.

YEP, hands up, I forgot about the Allens' but really what looked like the whole of Yabbie Creek cop shop turned up but still no Sarge.
-
OK Iluka wasn't stabbed, my bad, but obviously internal injuries occurred when he was kicked, hit by fist or weapon but of course being male he dismissed it. The old yeh.yeh I'll come back if it gets worse attitude very typical. That is why the RB's were there to see it was a fair fight - one on one - which it was until Nat pulled the knife out of her pocket to protect her little bro getting hurt. Dean does still have some contacts then. OK YB Creek cops tuned up en masse but it was just a fight, nothing illegal going on, no-one else involved. Is that why Rose told Mali just to go? It did seem to go against the Hudson code for Elandra to call the cops. I think Mali did see it as drawing a line under it but Nat doesn't seem to see it like that. Some people on here couldn't believed Mali could be as good as he seemed when he first turned up as of course he had to be a bad 'un. But he was a good guy. OK he's had some secrets he's not told Rose about but they weren't criminal. I think the latter Slade, a woman scorned and all that. Theo got accidentally involved by just happening to be the one to come across Ilkua - he did get asked to keep quite, but that went by the board when Iluka went into hospital. Going off on a tandem a bit should Bree have told Iluka how Levi was, that is private info about another patient, not even a relative gets told about how they are without their consent. Dana and I were thinking along the same lines - I said that article could have been cut and pasted onto the Hospital's legitimate heading. We did get more of a proper look at it this time round. But sadly Dana had to go and do what she normally does and tells the wrong person - namely Bronte. Bree had been right there so she could have quizzed her about this trial, is it real, feasible? Dana still has no real proof. No spoilers but it does crank up another notch next week. No dissing Xander but a paramedic wouldn't know anything about a complex condition like Bronte's so wouldn't know if she was or wasn't lying it's just Dana's 'y senses twitching. Irene isn't involving Leah about her next move, she's raising the money herself - where did A$50,000 suddenly come from, is that what she's being sued for?
-
That was a quick u-turn for Irene. Just as she and Leah were able to breath a sigh of relief as Joseph decided not to sue and she made the decision to tell Bronte, her deciding she had to leave as Irene couldn't help changed it again. It is good she is going to keep Leah out of it, will that mean she'll mortgage the Beach house to be able to pay her however much it could be? On the same subject Bronte has to have someone she is collaborating who is very tech savvy setting up that 'site' that Dana couldn't find before - now all of a sudden it's there! That did wreck any chance of Xander believing her. We, sadly, didn't get a good look at it, but hopefully Dana does check it out more carefully and see if there any flaws in it. It could have been cut and pasted from somewhere else with a few tweaks added. Flick has now met 'poor' Bronte' who thanked her for making such a generous donation. Bronte did seem fine when she was dancing along to Remi's busking, which was good to see, him back busking I mean. Where did that note - dollar/five/ten dollar bill - come from that she tossed into Remi's guitar case, she's not earning. Had to when Remi told Theo he'd have enough money to pay the lecci bill by December. He's now bit the bullet and decided to go for session work. Going to be totally shallow but I loved Elandra's earrings. At first it didn't look like Iluka had suffered that badly, then it was discovered he'd been knifed so of course he had to go to ND and be treated by - tra-laa Bree! What is it with men who claim, it's nothing serious, I'll be OK, just bruising. Dare I say how coincidental it was Theo finding him? I do hope we don't see a bad side to Mali, I know some people find him 'boring' just because, he's a nice guy - nothing wrong with that is there - John and Alf are good guys. From what Elandra said the Allen's do have quite the rep back in Manatary Point and that Iluka was an idiot to get mixed up with Nat. Who is Mali going to recruit to help him do the old tit-for-tat revenge? Of course him setting out on his 'crusade' will mean his business will suffer which he worked so hard to get going.

But Valerie wasn't trying to con anyone, only emotionally and it was Theo she 'targeted'. Anyways it does seem Irene has seen the light. Getting that independent inspector didn't have the desired effect, but both she and Leah found out they had missed a required recommendation to get the pipework reviewed/checked so they are liable, but shouldn't their insurance company told them that? There have been suggestions on another site that Bronte is behind it all, but I don't see, unless I'm being thick, is how? This problem did seem to have happened on only one day, the amount of traffic they get in the Diner more people would have fallen ill over more days wouldn't they? Now Irene has to tell Bronte she can't sue them - good luck girly. ily there was nothing in writing about Irene's suggestion. Wonder how it will go with Leah asking Joseph to drop his claim? It must have been embarrassing for Harper to admit to Tane how her feelings for him had changed, she is supposed to be a level headed SW and emotionally stable. I know it must have seemed to some he was backing off getting more involved, but he has just come out of a pretty heavy relationship- aka Felicity - and he had got this big proposal going on which he is going to be very involved with. Irene seemed surprised by john's reaction to Tane's proposal, he did just seem to flick through the paperwork and likely saw those particular words that we saw - in flashing lights. He and Tane need to go through it together, though he has a lot on his plate at the moment with Alf & Roo being away. Kirbs really kicked arse there. She's doing all the surf lessons on her own and having to fend off customers wanting to know where their boards are. Both Remi and Eden were very blase about costs - no milk in the fridge again - eating out and getting take always all the time can't be cheap. The power going out did answer one of my questions - the utilities aren't included in the rent. It seemed each of them were responsible for one part of the outgoings but Remi, either deliberately or really did forget it was his 'job' to pay the lecci. I know it didn't bring in wads of cash but at least Remi went out there and did his bit and was popular enough to earn enough dosh to pay some of the bills. Cash was willing to help them out but maybe stubborn or not Kirby refused his kind offer, same with Remi for not wanting to ask his parents to lend him the money, but could be pride with him. Flick nearly passed out with shock when Eden asked if there were any shifts going at Salt. Eden didn't last very long at Salt, she found it too hard. It was funny, though it shouldn't be, all them trooping over to Cash & Flick's for a shower. Then Eden telling Remi "No, you can't come over to have one". Cash has bitten the bullet and decided to apply to re-join the police- he's missed the deadline that he was given after his suspension so will have to start again. In one way, it'll be easier for him as he has had the experience but on t'other hand he'll be treated like any other rookie so can't come across as too cocky and "I know it all". For all of her faults and there are many Eden does stand by him and is supportive.

Valerie wasn't dying or claiming she was dying though was she? It was funny the way Harper was taking her frustrations over Tane just wanting her as a friend by pummelling away at him at her 'boxing' class. He had to call a halt to get her to calm down. Wonder she didn't trip over her tongue - . He really does think everything is OK by just chuntering on about his proposal expecting her to be up there with him, using her experiences as a SW to help guide him through it. john is running the whole shebang on his own at the moment, though Alf has to email, ring him to make sure he he's doing what he should be doing. Maybe Tane should have thought it through better, a proposal for 'bad kids' to descend en masse on the bay in the hope Tane can sort them out with life lessons would be daunting. Even with Tane having a fairly supportive family it didn't stop him getting into bother. John was finding hard to get his head around, Alf would not be in favour nor would The Committee. Harper did finally snap and effectively tell Tane where to go and she couldn't be his 'friend'. If he, Tane, does get how she really feels about him and he does feel the same way, it would still cause complications, he is still married and Harper and Flick have only just become friends. Levi had to have an emergency op which he came through. Daft thought re sets, is there more one floor at ND's or do they just swap the props around when the lift doors open on ground/first/second floor? Okie, dokie, everyone is worried about Levi as he was the one stabbed - but no-one seems particularly worried about Mac, she has only recently had a heart attack and all that stress, being tied up, seeing her fella stabbed wouldn't have been good for her. Good call by Bree that Mac should let Eden know, natch of course she ignored her calls until finally Mac called Cash and he did answer. Despite everything Eden has been saying about Levi something like this does change things, not enough for her to actually go and talk to him, but baby steps. I guess seeing the way Mac was with Levi did make her realise Mac does love Levi and vice versa. Not going to be bb with Mac for while yet but again baby steps at least they are 'talking'. Would the hospital have let Imogen know what had happened - she is his next of kin being his wife unless like a lot of folk in soaps that is one of the last things you think of changing when admitted to hospital and have broken up with your wife/husband. I guess Mac & Levi have nothing to gain/lose by not telling Rose who the Allen's were. Cash was definitely in cop mode asking Rose what was happening and of course she couldn't tell him. He'd have been in the same position, but without the complication of having your boyfriend caught up in it of course, having to question people you think of as friends. What are Cash & Eden living off at the moment, he hasn't got a job, Eden, that goes without saying she's never had a job, is Flick subbing them? Wasn't Cash offered his job back after the corruption case and he turned it down as it would be at a lower rank. if he decides to go back, it could mean Rose would be his boss. Going off on a tandem, but Flick doesn't seem to be around, didn't see her when Tane & Harper were in Salt, Mac as we know is at the hospital - is Xander running it single handed again? They definitely owe him a rise a BIG one.

Mali, though he had a point about if it had been Dean Mac would have stood by him was below the belt for him. Dean wasn't exactly that keen on the cops when he first arrived being a RB and all and that didn't entirely go away. That is the downside of being a local cop, the people you sometimes have to question, especially if something dodgy, are your neighbours/friends. Now and this isn't anything I thought I'd be saying is where we need Sarge. He'd be one step back from it and be totally neutral. Handy how although Mac and Levi weren't together all of the time they managed to agree on who the Allen's were - never seen them before - which is the truth. Normally though wouldn't they be interviewed separately even though they are witnesses? Rose did find out Iluka was there. Soap cliche no??? - patient seemingly going along nicely then they have a dip, pass out, gasp for breath/machines start beeping and flashing. We did see Cash inform Eden what has happened and she turns up at ND. Dana was so right and I've 'said' this many a time doctors and nurses are the worst patients. Levi trying to diagnose his own symptoms and directing Bree on what she should be doing. Was Bree just turning up for her shift or had she been called in? She swiftly jumped in there. They are very accommodating at ND allowing next of kin/boyfriends/girlfriends/whoever to sleep over. I have probably asked this before but do they have proper wards there, we only ever see single bed rooms even when the patient has got over the worse. Odd isn't it everyone has a different view on a certain character(s) which we are entitled to. Be sooo boring if we all liked/disliked the same person all of the time. Dana, though we know is so right about Bronte, has been in your face, opens mouth without engaging gear but not afraid to speak her mind. Which funnily enough is a trait of Irene which is why they are clashing. But anyways, she, Bronte, should back off until she has proof about Bronte's supposed illness/treatment. She is a good nurse though. Normally Irene would be classed as a upstanding, level headed citizen of SB, another one known to speak her mind, but this time her judgement has been severely kicked into touch. Could there be a little bit of her doubting Bronte which is why she is so determined to dig her heels in? Tense enough scene with her, Theo, Maz and Leah with Leah trying to explain the fact that the insurance wouldn't pay out on Joseph's lawsuit so no way would they pay out on Bronte's. Irene's very irrational reasoning we pay out from the Diner's account and hope the insurance changes it's mind - Just as we and they had thought it had calmed down - it was gunfight at dawn - Leah and Irene having a blazing row at the coffee cart. Both have volatile natures. Theo trying to warn them they were doing it in front of customers which would likely to cost them more than the recent contamination. They and their friends won't be popping in the Diner anytime soon unless they wear tin hats.
