I'm glad Irene, with a little nudge from Marilyn, reached out to John so yah shucks to you Leah! Wasn't stopping her still wanting to 'be there' for Irene which made Justin say yet again they knew his opinion on that. Made me smile when john got the call that Irene wanted to see him. That was a lovely talk between them and he wasn't at all "I told you so" just wanted to be there for her and was more than happy to take her to the rehab clinic/unit as she realised this time she can't do it by herself or rely on AA. It did take Bree catching her drinking to make her realise she had hit rock bottom. But now of course there is only one other way - UP! It was good that Irene popped into the Diner to say bye to Leah and Maz complete with big s, shame Justin wasn't there and still no sign of Alf. Lynne McGranger of course is taking time off after her thyroid op. Word has got round with random passersby wishing Cash and Eden Good Luck. Flick was over the moon and good to know Gary knows and is very happy for him. All systems go then with preps for Eden's surprise Engagement Party, he then had to sneak out to get a ring, I'm guessing he knows her size or borrowed one. Xander you have this morning to arrange it all for this afternoon so no pressure. Had Flick forgotten what it was like when Eden was designated Wedding dress chooser when she got married? Was a tad awkward or rather bigger than a tad Levi not being invited and Mac having to give him the news, he kind of took it well but must have still hurt, he's speaking to Mum then which explains how Abi knew where to find him. Very awks moment when Eden & Flick arrive at Lyrik's house and he is just about to leave leaving the bottle of . Surprise pop up by Abi. One thought is Abi on Team Eden or Levi? Party was looking good and from what we saw Tane and Flick were looking cosy much to Harper add Dana's consternation. Could they have been reading too much into it, for all we or they knew it was just a moment between a nearly ex couple, never mind what Theo was saying.

Now Irene's problem is really out in the open. Not the best idea of swigging from her hip flask while hooked up to an IV drip. Bree of course wouldn't have known her history but I did like how good she was with her, not judgemental, but firmly advising her to listen to her. Natch Irene would need to be in overnight she had a concussion. I was going to say about it being lucky she didn't have any broken bones but as the saying goes God looks after drunks and children, she was relaxed when she fell so didn't tense up like anyone else would, probably a few bruises though. To be fair to Justin, it wasn't him that brought the mis-order up to Irene it was Leah, he was happy to eat it. OK I get Harper would be there as she brought her in and it got out when Harper called Dana and she was in the Diner at the time. But not everyone had to be there, there was Dana, Xander, Leah, Justin and Rose. Why didn't anyone listen to Justin when he was saying that she doesn't need nagging, he does know what it is like having had his addiction and it has to be down to Irene to when she admits she has a problem and needs help. The more he was asked he said no when he was going through it. John very wisely stayed away. I thought Irene was very restrained when she told Leah to shove off when she just barged in when Bree was examining her, I would have used a much stronger word before the off word. Leah thinks she is helping but isn't, she is going in too far strong. Leah has been there before with Irene so should know how to handle it. That was touching John looking up Al-Anon so he could be there and know the right way to help when needed, then Justin being there too. I'm guessing Harper and Dana, like many before them, just took Irene's request that there shouldn't be any drinking in the house without her permission as a house rule, maybe have it in the back of their mind it was a personal problem, but didn't probe. If Irene wanted them to know she'd have told them. Until now Irene has been very clever when they have been there waiting until they are out of the house to had a crafty slug or two. Dana admitting to Harper Xander knows but as she said it was Harper's fault, Xander overheard them and he thought it was her who was pregnant eliciting the OH from Harper. He is under threat of death not to say anything and we found out how he got around telling Rose, it was a false alarm - good thinking there. Only been briefly mentioned but word is getting round about Eden & Cash, Rose asking Bree if her and Remi will go there and getting a non-commital answer. We briefly saw Abigail - Eden and Levi's barely mentioned sister.

Perri has decided to stay so Mali's words did sink in. I suppose he would find it weird about what Mac and Levi put in their card which Tane read out for him, obviously where he grew up people weren't like that. Good that Tane approached Harper about Perri's read/writing problem and how to get help for him - I hope I'm not jumping the gun and putting a label on him but he could have dyslexia. The only other thing would be he never paid much attention at school. Did he stop bothering after his mum died? Harper very wisely said he'd need to talk to Perri first. When kids keep being told they are stupid enough when they are growing up they do believe it. Tane said Perri had signed up for this course and I guess he meant that literally as putting his name to some sort of paperwork. Irene really is spiralling out of control at a rate of knots, now she's filling up a hip flask of grog to sneak into work. She got a real shock when Dana appeared. Leah, Justin and Maz did this time round have clocked something is not right with her, but still need to agree how best to handle it. They have noticed the booze on her breath and her sneaking off to the pantry, didn't Mac keep doing that at Salt when she had her drink problem? Not just Irene getting Justin's food wrong which he would have kept quiet about and others, but Leah had to call it and send her home in case there had been an accident. There are rules about having an employee/fellow worker who isn't fit to be there, especially if dealing with customers, handling knives and such I think. Irene was being very defensive when Leah called round but Leah, though being well meaning can come across as overbearing and she has been there before. Never a good idea going up or downstairs when drunk. We did see her being found, taken to NDS and Bree - who else - looking after her. I think with newbies she just says unless I've OK'd it there is no booze allowed in the house, hoping most people would work it out for themselves. That was a close call when Tane called round to see Harper and he mentioned Dana had told him what was wrong with her and she thought he knew about the baby, but just in time he mentioned the word virus. Harper does need to tell him but her excuse is he's tied up with Perri so doesn't need any more problems. He will need to know at some point and won't be a happy bunny she's kept it from him. Then Dana accidentally let slip Xander knows. But as we know he thought she, Dana, was the one who was pregnant and she didn't actually say it was Harper, just didn't deny it.

Eden said yes after giving it a lot of thought. I remember now her 'proposing' to Cash and he was the one panicking, it wasn't the right time for him then. It may have seemed sudden, but he may have had it his mind it was only Remi saying when you know she is the right one and want them to be in your life always it triggered him to do something about it. They do love each other that much is apparent, they have been through a lot together, but she would have trust issues after what happened to her parents when she thought they had a happy marriage. I did find her hiding, well trying to, by the bins amusing. Kirby, Theo, Remi, Bree and Felicity are all for it but only if that is what she really wants. Kirby was so busting to tell Mali THE news but managed to bite her tongue. I would have thought Bree may have cottoned on when Cash and Eden came into Salt looking especially lovey dovey but then they just announced they were engaged. More free drinks then. Felicity looked good and seems to have got over Rory OK. She was fine with Cash and was pleased to her he had proposed to Eden who hadn't then given him an answer as yet, but keeping her fingers crossed. Of course Mac didn't know about Rory so was of course worried about her being in Salt, but as Flick said being there was better for her. Mali wasn't away that long, overnight, but hopefully he's now in a much better place now he's had his earbashing from mum and Elandra. I hope Iluka got the same as it was him that dragged Mali into it all. He gets back then gets another earful from Mac who wanted to have a go at Dean but he wasn't responsible for the new RB's. Perri is one complex character, up one moment down the next, typical teenager I guess. At least he had the decency to apologise to Tane and decided to eat some of his party food. Next day he was having down moments when Tane suggested they practice with the weapon when he wanted a beer and got the strop again. But sometimes Tane is his own worse enemy, without meaning to, he's likely being as pushy as Perri's dad was. Can Perri just walk away from Tane? Oh it looks like we get one of those crossed wires moments tomorrow between Tane and Harper because of something Dana says and he misreads it. Harper thinks he knows the real reason, how many times does that happen in soaps.

It is great to see the behind the scenes shots and to see the cast having a laugh between scenes. The singing was lovely but for Perri it must have made him feel even more out of it, knowing it's his culture but not really knowing anything about it and Tane though very well meaning giving him that amulet was maybe a tad OTT again. I liked his chat with Mac as I felt he could talk to her better than he could to Tane. I did like Tane's explanation about the hangi and what it meant to the Maori people. As an afterthought did all the people Rani ask stay and eat the food or did they drift off, be a terrible waste of food. Remi and Bree sneaked off to a hotel somewhere then so they could get away from the "it's good to see you back together" mob. Of course the first people why bumped into were Theo and Kirby but they are friends so allowed to comment. Kirby did put her foot in it with that remark about Flick and her mood seeing as she was loved up with Rory but she didn't know about him being arrested for murder did she. Now, as Flick tends to do, has gone walkabout so of course Cash is worried about her and I love how Eden is there for him. I did 'say' to Bree there will something/someone else for the bay folk to talk about and lo and behold it looks like it will be Eden and Cash! I'm thinking Remi wasn't hinting at anything when he said he knew Bree was the one. but it seems to have given Cash the idea of proposing to Eden. I'm hoping this may have been in his thoughts before now and not a spur of the moment idea as know how Eden can be at times. She does love Cash but being married to him is a big step especially with her family history.

Good spot. Justin was right when he said about John and others in their more discreet way trying to get Irene admitting she had a problem, he didn't when he had his drug problem. It's got to be when they are ready. It is a fine line when when a friend is drinking/taking drugs do you intervene or just be there for them? Was he not there when Irene had her last fall off the wagon as Leah had to explain what it was like for those around her back then? OK Irene has struck John off her Christmas card list as he's no longer her friend but natch he'll still be there for her at a distance. Irene obviously though she was being clever not dumping the bottles in her closet recycling bin but of course John just happened to be passing by. Don't they have bottle banks in the bay? Harper told Dana last week she'd decided to have the baby which is where Xander got confused thinking it was Dana's. She did dodge Irene's imploring of her to have a drink very well I thought. Not just Tane not knowing about Perri's 18th but Harper and she is his SW who would have gone over his paperwork though of course she does have other things on her mind. She is still dodging telling him. Of course him turning 18 does mean he is now an adult so how much control would Tane have over him? Him producing his ID, if that what is was, did remind me of Ryder when he ordered proper drinks at Salt. It wasn't just Alf who forgot back then, it was Roo and his mum. Now they are all falling over themselves to celebrate it which for Perri is going to be overwhelming going from nothing to having half the neighbourhood round. I must admit he covered the fact he couldn't read Mac's words in her card very well and gave the right response. He did and does appreciate the gesture but as he said to Mac she, Tane and Levi are strangers. A watch and it didn't look like a cheap one would throw him. It is a tradition for Maori people to have a hangi, we've seen Tane, Ari and Nik holding hangi's before so where have you been? I know Tane wants to introduce Perri to his roots but maybe OTT right now, it is a big thing for them. but for Perri too much. I imagine it tastes very barbecueie.

Irene is so in denial which could explain her ratty mood towards everyone who challenges her assertion she is in control because on one level she knows she isn't. People do drink on their own, but don't hide the bottles at the back of cupboards. Justin's question about how she is coping would be a perfectly natural one to ask seeing as he'd been out of town during the final showdown. It is making people around her walk on eggshells so afraid to say the wrong thing. That dinner party was so tense, no-one but Irene was comfortable, had Irene bought some wine glasses as she said the other day she didn't have any. Not a clever idea of John having a root about, but I'm glad he did make a stand and walked out- tough love needed. I thought Alf was a friend so why wasn't he asked? It was good to hear about Roo and Ryder even if briefly. I can imagine what Roo would say about it all. Where were Harper and Dana btw? Remi finally got what Bree was saying about people going on about people being glad they were back together, it could get very wearing, don't worry love, they'll soon move onto something/one else. I did love his "Can I have that in writing" line when she said he was right. Them hoping for a quiet night in - yeh right - went pear shaped so they sneaked out. Bit rotten of Justin teasing Theo about the garage but we need some light relief. Kirby has some patience putting up with Mali and him dodging his business leaving her to run most if not all the lessons. He didn't really give her a proper reason either. She can't help with his board side of it though so more disappointed customers and now he's going home 'for a while' has he/will he tell her? Families can be a real pain can't they, he only got involved with the RB's because of Iluka. Good advice from Tane who himself took time away from the bay after his breakup with Felicity. Mali really had made a wrong turn or three, but it's because he's a good guy and cares about people. He had only found the evidence that day, the bag when dumped on him could have had anything in it, drugs, money. I'm guessing MR cops - as in Cash - decided he wasn't involved in any way. Alf still being upbeat about Perri, though it did seem Tane is not as sure.

It may be not have been proper police procedure for Cash to take Flick to see Rory, but she did get it from the horse's mouth that he had killed McGrath so still not under the illusion he had been set up. Her calmness could be a worry though but she did listen to Cash after Eden's nudging. She wasn't too happy with Eden either. Cash and Eden will need to keep an eye on her as they know her too well. Rory, I think, was torn, he did really like Flick, not sure if he was at the love stage though, but her being a cop's sister would have caused trouble even without a murder being thrown into the mix. Though saying that Brax fell in love with Charlie but then he didn't kill anyone. I honestly didn't click that Xander thought it was Dana who was pregnant - doh. He obviously ignored Rose's advice to wait until she, Dana, was ready to tell him and just asked. Love the quaint old "I'm not with child". I thought he was a bit slow as to who is pregnant but then he had his moment. I think she did say not to say anything yet, but he will have to tell Rose but will need to be circumspect. But of course Rose is a cop so wouldn't take her long to add two and two together. Just as well Leah didn't go to Irene's for drinks as she would have missed Justin coming home. Btw how many drinks was Marilyn planning to have, she'd need to get home so either driving or getting a cab. Dana neatly dodged joining in saying she was tired so didn't have to refuse seeing as she's joined Harper on the wagon. I suppose Leah did have to fill Justin in what was occurring with Irene but I couldn't see her reasoning why she thought he and Irene would be in the same boat, Justin had a prescription drugs addiction problem and you don't go handing them around with your friends do you? It didn't take long for Irene to twig what Justin was there for and who sent him. I was waiting for her to say "I didn't come down in the last shower". OK, Irene thinks she can handle a few drinks with friends but as said, she is secretly drinking which is not a good sign. As we saw John digs the bottle(s) out.

I agree about Rory stepping up to the mark about it being him killing McGrath and the forensic evidence proved he wielded the crowbar. The RB's are his adopted family and that is what you do when a family member is in trouble. You may argue or fight but when push comes to shove you close ranks. Anyone on here who watches Emmerdale have seen that happen plenty of times with the Dingles. Ok may have come out of the blue Felicity saying she loves Rory but where is it written in stone you have to know someone a certain amount of time before you can say the l word? Flick has always been erratic, she does let her emotions run away with her, but she can be a good and loyal friend and sister, better than being boring isn't it and always doing the right thing? See above for families sticking together even if they do annoy the life out of you, Cash and Flick have through a lot together and do support each other. Eden was stuck in between a rock and a hard place, trying to keep Flick busy and away from MR, didn't help Rory turning up so she had to confess that Cash had asked her to do it, but couldn't say why as he couldn't tell her. Rory certainly isn't dumb, then he got the text from Dingo so really did have to run. Flick is an adult, OK she doesn't always act it, so she is allowed to go where she wants to and what was Eden supposed to do, tie her down? Did Rory tell Flick to forget about him to protect her as he did care about her or because he wasn't bothered. I said that about Cash allowing Rose to interview Mali even with another cop there and it being taped/videoed, surely that wouldn't be proper police protocol seeing as they are ex's and so recently. He did play the No Comment comeback but he doesn't owe the RB's anything. Is he hoping Rory will say he had nothing at all to do with it? Debateable about Cash interviewing Rory, especially with no lawyer there, as there could be a conflict of interest. Nought to do with anything really but seeing as both Cash and Rose are Senior Constables who has seniority between them? Cash had been one before he was suspended but Rose become one during his suspension. Just asking. I think maybe TPTB listened, wrongly, to people moaning that Mali was dull/boring as he didn't do anything apart from make his boards, teach surfing and be a good guy. Did I miss it it or was there any discussion about what Harper was planning to do about her pregnancy? She can't be that far along but her having bought formic acid tabs says something, maybe her sub conscious deciding before her conscious self did. Okey, dokey Dana did well pretending the tabs were hers when they dropped out of Harper's bag, but then natch Xander just happened to be standing there when Dana was babbling on about how good an auntie she would be. Did neither Dana or Harper really not see him? Hope he doesn't throw a strop because Dana didn't tell him, not her secret. Now Harper will have to tell Tane. Well I like him!

There can't be a heavy cop presence in Mangrove River as the Yabbie Creek cops had to be called in to add reinforcements, no Sarge I noticed. I thought they only tuned on the sirens and lights on at the last moment, the RB's were just lounging about when they got the shock of their lives. Joanna did say Cash had made the MR cops sit up and want to take back control. Well handled by Cash and Rose. She did get a bit of a shock though seeing Mali there. I was right about Rory not being happy about Dingo dumping the bag on Mali, when he said get rid of it he didn't mean dump it on an outsider/innocent, he meant chuck it in the river or bury it. I guess what was in the bag really piqued Mali's interest, it would anyone, but WOW what a shock he had! I spotted the fact he didn't handle the crowbar. Of course the cops will be asking Mali questions, even the fact they - Cash & Rose - know him oughtn't stop them. Though them knowing him it should be handled by MR cops but as we know normal procedure isn't always followed in soaps. Flick does have a tendency to go for bad guys which Tane was when we first met him but obviously not in Rory's league. Flick, in case you hadn't met her before has always had a wild streak, but funnily enough Tane did kind of tame her though not completely, it wouldn't be Flick then. I like Flick though like a lot of the characters do she does have her annoying moments. She and they would be very boring if they were goody good all the time. Rory pitching up and saying he killed McGrath - true, was he taking the blame for Dingo or was he part of it. I do think it would have taken two, someone was driving Dingo's car. Cash roped Eden in to keep Flick occupied and though she knew something was going down she didn't ask questions while the MR operation went down and for the most part she succeeded until Rory tuned up. Flick then of course guesses, correctly, Eden was playing babysitter. I thought both Levi and Mac apologised to each other OK Jimmy walked out on his family and Levi walked out on Imogen but isn't it better that the one who did wrong does feel guilt rather than nothing? I'd be wary if someone I'd got with like Mac has with Levi didn't feel anything. Tad awkward Eden being there when Levi walked into Salt but well handled., they just ignored each other.

Tane was quick on picking up about Perri's problem with reading and writing, though I twigged earlier on the beach. One thing though wouldn't he have had to read and sign his statement he made about the theft he had been charged with? It will need addressing though even if he only is just helping with Tane with 'simple' jobs for the moment. Signs can be got round they have symbols to indicate danger but there are plenty of other things. He's only 17 so no shame in admitting it, but will need persuading to take lessons, guess Tane will need to speak to Harper with Perri's permission of course. He's obviously a smart kid. I'm guessing Dean, nice little mention of him, doesn't know what the current RB's are like, it's been a couple of years since he had proper dealings with them. His lot may have been rough and ready but not that violent. Quick breeze in and out for Alf, giving his advice about hanging in there with Perri. Didn't really help that when Dana first tackled Xander that she was two sheets to the wind, Rose just stood there bemused and wisely kept out of it. Luckily, for both of them, wise words were spoken to them. She could have just made up with him and left it at that but if the right planets align who are we to argue. They are always going to have different opinions on things couples do. Glad it wasn't just me who thought that meeting between Mac and Perri was odd, one moment she was looking at the sofa all confused when she got back but pushed Levi's explanation to one side to um reunite properly. Then it seemed she had met him and it seemed was OK with him staying there saying it had been mentioned. Confused.com. People slag Felicity off for letting people have free drinks/food left , right and centre but what was the first thing Mac did - treats Tane, Levi and Perri to lunch! Neat little ploy there btw of Tane suggesting a meal to Perri. Bad timing that Jimmy turned up while Mac was away so she didn't get to meet him and another one to badly phrase herself when she said about she was glad she wasn't here for that family reunion. One thing Levi brought up which is true when a couple break up because of an affair friends do take sides. Could depend how long they have known the guilty or innocent party or who they were friends with first. Shouldn't generalise but women stick with the women and men stick with the men. Leah and Marilyn are the opposite on how they are dealing with Irene, Maz the softly, softly approach and Leah going in all guns blazing. Leah wasn't snooping when she popped round, Irene had left that bottle of bubbly on the table for all to see. Is Irene trying to convince others she can handle drinking or herself? She is immediately jumping to the conclusion they are talking about her, which is mostly true, then dragging John in who is innocent as he hasn't said a word about her to anyone, apart from her 'retail therapy'. To me there is an obvious difference, her hairstyle. She did go to AA then I wasn't sure if she had, but thinking 'they' weren't like her which is sad as there must be different levels of alcoholism. Seems it's all kicking off today with the RB's and the cops.

If perhaps it had been a more private place Harper may have told Tane, but then Alf and Dana walked up so another missed opportunity, Dana, for once did keep her mouth shut once she'd clocked Harper hadn't broken the news. As I've said before he's getting pretty caught up with Perri. Can Perri just do that, switch homes without letting the appropriate authorities know? Wouldn't they want to check Tane's place of abode over first, I know Perri's 17 but he's still a minor. Did he tell the truth about going to see his dad or did he maybe sneak in and get the rest of his gear. Wasn't just Harper's behaviour he picked up on it was Tane's towards Harper. Perhaps he's not that far off. Maybe Irene had other things on her mind not to wonder why Harper refused her drink, I thought I recognised that as a Buck's Fizz but apparently in Aus it's called a Mimosa. I think it depends on what type of alcoholic you are Irene was pretty far down the path when we first knew her so isn't able to just have a couple of drinks - even one and stop. I think Irene only mentions it if someone offers her an alcoholic drink which is when she tells them she is a recovering alcoholic. I think Harper may have twigged, her being a SW and all, she must have come across a few. Why should she be ashamed of being a recovering alcoholic something to be proud of I would think, that you admitted you have this problem and are doing something about it. It is a daily battle for life. Wasn't Theo's fault the news is out about Bree and Remi, it was Kirby blabbing it about. Remi did like sneaking about at first don't forget, but then went off the idea quicker than Bree did, maybe because it was mainly at his house they were sneaking about in. She is more worried about what people think of them getting back together, folk were very when they were first official, her being a doctor and him a humble player in a band. Well Marilyn now knows seeing as she saw them on the bench. Loved Theo's come back "I knew". Xander's planned dinner date for him and Dana did get hi-hacked by Bree who then inadvertently caused a knock on effect on his and Dana's relationship. It made him doubt why Dana got back together with him. She could have phrased it better, but he was maybe a touch sensitive about it, she did get back with him as it made her realise what she was missing, being with him. I'm glad she got him to say why he was off with her. As we saw in the trailer Mali opens the box -bag and finds out what is in it!
-
I don't see Bree thinking dating Remi as lowering herself, if anything it's the other way round, she's not come from a rich family unlike Remi's. I'm not sure why she wanted it still be a secret so I hope she tells him why. I can get her though she didn't want people saying "Are you sure"? They have been on and off a couple of times and she could be thinking that 'they' will be waiting for the next break up. Just need a little tiff for them around them to and say "there we told you." No you didn't mishear Theo - he did say he was going to give Justin a hand at the garage. It could have been phrased better. Theo saying to John about keeping secrets hit a few nerves - John with his secret about Irene and Harper with her secret about the baby. Leah being all Roo again, getting all twitchy about Irene not turning up for work and not being able to get hold of her. John coming in just at the right time and first saying she wasn't too well as she didn't have a good nights sleep after reading the article then going for some retail therapy - best he could think of on the spot. Even if Leah had rung, Irene probably wouldn't have answered. Harper innocently letting slip John ha slept at Irene's the night before got Leah and Maz's interest. Marilyn would know if John is being cagey, as she said she had been married to him. Do we believe Irene actually went to her AA meeting? John was talking to Irene, well supposedly he was, so I guess that is why Leah snatched his phone. Bloody cheek, could you imagine her reaction if someone had done that to her! Harper is only a couple of months pregnant and fit and healthy so why shouldn't she be going for training sessions, she knows her own body and what it can take. If she decides not to tell Tane just yet she can slow down and give him a valid enough reason why. Anyways she has been trying, twice, to advise him about Perri, If Tane is serious about getting Perri back into school he does definitely need to talk to Perri how he would feel about it. Perri is 17 so not a young child who has to go to school. For all we know, though, he may have had trouble at school, we don't know what his learning abilities are do we? Harper did try, again to tell Tane about her/their news but could see how tied he was with helping Perri which would throw him off track completely. OK Tane may have jumped the gun about Poppy and her mum, but as said beforehand Perri is a teenager and it's been seen what his dad does to him, abuse, physical and maybe mental which may have been going on for years. Tane's family life may have been slightly dysfunctional but it was mostly caring. Tane did get side-tracked somewhat with Mali's locked bag puzzle, where would a RB get that type of bag? Wouldn't a bag like that normally be used to transport official documents or such? No secret Mali called in Rory and Dingo to help him with the Allen problem so can't see why he couldn't tell Cash? A case of neither of them being able to say anything without giving anything away. I hope Mali gets it out the house as they don't need any more trouble there, as in a gang of RB's turning up looking for it. Liam is just getting over his injury and now there's Perri. Eden does come in for a lot of flack, but, and I've said this before, she stands by Cash, supports him even though it has to be worrying being a cops girlfriend and without wanting to know the details, let's him offload about it as much as he can.
-
More than just rumours Rory, Dingo and possible others involved with Franklyn's murder. But I'm confused.com Aussies drive on the right so his car would be right hand drive, but then we saw that left arm hanging out of the left hand side of the car which had that tattoo which was identified as Dingo's so who was driving the car? Is Dingo a minor or someone who has a mental problem what with Rory saying he has to sit in with him while being interviewed by Cash. Though saying that Dingo or going by his actions should be called Drongo deciding it was a good idea to keep trophies from Franklyn. It does explain why Rory didn't want Flick joining him in MR he's using her to find out what she can about Cash's investigations into the RB's. Must have been really teeth gritting for Cash having to be friendly to Rory. I don't see Flick as being a dumb blonde, Rory did fancy her, but then he found out she was the sister of MR's new cop and use it to their advantage. He may be a thug but he's not a stupid one. Mali is also being used because he's a good, decent guy BUT now he knows that little favour he asked of them via Dean has come at a high price. We can guess what is in that bag but it's what Mali decides to do with it. Fleur didn't get quite want she wanted no front page but John found it disturbing enough. Journo's don't need to twist the truth now, Fleur recorded it remember but could still put her own twist on it. Lovely that John ignored Irene telling him to go and that he stayed over, even if he and Harper scared each other. Wonder how that was explained? He has persuaded her to go to an AA meeting which is a good start and of course he'll keep quiet, it's her business no-one else's.

Had Cash met Felicity before? At first when he found out who Rory was he asked her to think about getting involved with him which she did. But him putting his foot down was never going to work, same as parents telling their kids to stop seeing the bad boys/girls, they do the opposite and go on seeing them even more. He did back down after seeing the error of his ways and although absolutely not OK with it has 'allowed' Rory back in the house but as Flick pointed out it is her house too. That was an odd move by Rory not wanting Felicity to stay with him, it knocked her back a bit but it could be the reason you mentioned Red. Good to see her turn up and do a shift at Salt so still responsible at some level. Why was John having a go at Cash for not running the RB's out of town, he's not 'their' local bobby anymore is he? The Brax gang did hang about, not causing any real bother, just mostly upsetting the locals, like John and Alf. Well they would be a different gang from Brax's time, maybe they've devolved. Brax, Heath and the others did scare a lot of people, threatened them, beat them up but no I think they did stop short of murdering anyone. It seems Cash has got Joanna motivated into looking more into Franklyn's death, she and the others, who we haven't seen much of, may have been a bit jaded before but someone different coming in may be just what they needed. She had the idea of looking into another aspect of what happened and saw Dingo's car somewhere near Franklyn's body was found. OK yes it was his car but was he the driver? I was right, the RB's, well Rory and Dingo, are using what they did to get Mali to help them as he 'owes' them - free surfboard and Mali hiding this bag Dingo has left him. I have read what is in it, but I don't do spoilers. It was the booze talking with Irene, either she wouldn't have done it at all or have been a lot more her usual self. That journo was just looking after herself, wanting to get a big story and making a name for herself, that rant of Irene's couldn't have gone better for her. I'm glad, if that is the right word, that John found her and hadn't given up on her. His silence when he found her sobbing over the broken bottle of booze said it all. Harper and Dana have, of course, never seen her drunk, so wouldn't have known how to handle it. I know it's a cliche but now she's hit rock bottom the only way is back up. With all that trauma we needed a bit of light relief and we got it with Bree and Remi. They didn't get quite the quiet morning in they wanted, first Cash wanted to off load about the RB's and Flick, then Theo who had worked out who Remi was really seeing, Loved his throw away comment "I didn't know Bree was a session singer?" Yes, they are acting like kids but they are having fun - you know that thing we're not supposed to have when we get older so good for them. Did notice the door, as usual, wasn't locked, both Cash and Theo did knock but then they just walked in.

Whoopsie! Did TPTB plan that though or did it just happen wardrobe put him in that particular top. Oh I noticed there are River Girls, I did wonder if there were any. Flick may have her wild days but she wasn't bad and no way would she get involved in drugs not after her experience. She has her phases and at the moment Rory seems exciting, but he has his own reasons for taking her to Mangrove River, got it right this time, he knew Cash would be there, he got that tip-off from Dingo, so knew it would wind him up. Cash is in danger of getting obsessed by him and the rest of the RB's because of Flick being involved with them. I get he cares, as she dos about him, but putting his foot down and telling her to stay away from them has just had the opposite effect, she's moved out because as she rightly said it's her house too. Something else she got right - she met up with Rory, as did he, before they knew he was a RB and Cash got his new job. Oh we finally saw Rory's Blood & Sand tat. He did check out his board and gave it his approval. That was rather a hot display on the beach between Flick and Rory and then John saw Rory's tatt. John did try and caution Flick about seeing a RB cos they are trouble. Dean was but he turned his life round, took a while for the old timers to fully trust him. it would be a different gang though wouldn't it? I don't think we ever saw that many before in one place. Btw who is looking after Salt, Mac is away and Xander is in hospital? The staff I guess are running it by themselves again. They did all mean well, but Leah in her Roo role was particularly annoying. John did mean well, he was reminding her of how she helped him. Irene had had a swig out of the bottle she brought at the grog shop before - put in a glass last time though. Just the one I think, then stashed the bottle in the under the sink cabinet. Another brown bag, this time just slugging it down her throat. To me though it didn't look like it had gone down that much. I was pretty relieved she had parked near the Diner so just had a short walk back. She must have heard me about the others smelling it on her breath, she took a couple of puffs of mouth freshener. She was a bit perkier than she was when she left and we know why, but I'm worried how she will answer this journo's questions. Leah is right other people do need to be warned. Irene, like others before her will feel ashamed, embarrassed by being fooled but it just needs one person to speak out, then others may feel brave enough to come forward, it's not just Bronte but others like her who use people. For all we know the other two victims of Bronte had the same reactions as Irene, got fixated on what she was saying and blanked others doubting her, though it was only Dana who doubted her.

First things first and this did make me Cash wearing Levi's sweatshirt. Levi's just got the all clear and now he's been whacked again at least his nose wasn't broken and Eden did get a bag of frozen veg to put on it. Won't be a good look for him seeing patients. At least she did listen to Levi so he was able to tell her it wasn't anything to do with him their father just turning up, he followed Levi's trail. But she wasn't willing/wanting to see him. Levi did give Mac the low down and warned her Eden might well burn Salt down if she found James/Jimmy there, which she didn't thankfully. One moment Eden was supposed to be on shift, then she wasn't - confused.com. Kirby was pleased to see him - I'd forgotten she would have known him back in the day - and of course when he asked if she was still in the band she had to mention Eden was living in the bay. Which brought up Eden and Remi but there had been that thing between Cash and her even back then. Cash was on a hiding to nothing him saying he'd give anything just to have five minutes with his dad, his dad didn't cheat on his mum and leave home, no family dynamic is the same. She did reveal to Cash James did pop in when Lyrik were giving a concert and she just walked out so not a new habit there then. There was anger when Eden confronted James but a lot more stuff coming out, I could be wrong but it seems she never confronted him, yes she was a kid when it all when it all went down and was on mum's side, but it's all been bubbling under since then. That was one hell of a fight between Cash & Eden, Cash finding Jimmy as he found him OK. Her saying men are all the same, storming off - again - to her bedroom, I'm guessing the door should have been slammed shut, but it didn't. Cash was just about to kip down on the sofa as he didn't want to be at home if Flick brought Rory back when Eden reappeared and seemed to have had an epiphany and was able to see that women can be cheats too. Milo having problems getting Rory to come and get his board and pay for it, good luck with that. Methinks somehow Rory and Dingo think Milo owes them for helping him out, not a biggy, but I dare say the RB's have sort of scale. I'm guessing that was the full contingent of RB's, no wonder Mango River residents and the cops are in fear of them. Were there that many back in Brax's day? It did seem they were there just for Cash's benefit as they got called off by Rory who we saw in the trailer driving up with Flick - again for Cash's benefit. Irene, it appears has been OK'ish although not running on all four cylinders but then Leah has this brilliant idea of calling the local paper to give an account of what Bronte did and how it affected people - in the absence of Roo it had to be her - they will be given a questionnaire to answer so hopefully the real story will be told, but we all know how papers can still twist things. Big clue - for me at least - Irene who had sort of agreed - had been drinking, her hair was up with those straggly bits dangling down.

Harper is only what a month pregnant(?) so quite a while before she shows any kind of bump, that doesn't usually happen until five/six months in or even later, some women don't show at all. Very different kind of bedside manner there from Dana to Xander! Dana echoing Bree about Xander fretting about how long it will be before he gets feeling back in his legs if ever. It was only the day before but as been said 'they' meaning any medical type of person always imagine the worst because they know the worst kind of scenario. Anyways as it turned out he was worrying for nothing, but I did notice Dana didn't check his other leg to see if there was any feeling in that one. Where will he be staying as I don't think it would be that good an idea for him to return to the Diner flat while still feeling a bit weak on his legs. Just as Harper was going to tell Tane the good/bad news, depending on how you look at it, he reveals he's going to be looking after Perri which would mean his free time is going to be very limited so any thought of a baby isn't going to fit in that well. Perri did hide himself pretty well so good for Mali finding him. Mali didn't pussyfoot around and told him straight to either go to Tane on his own or he'd tell him where he was. This scheme btw how is that supposed to work? That group we saw on the first day was it a choice for them to return or not, it was voluntary wasn't it so I guess the others decided it wasn't for them. It is nice that Tane is taking Perri under his wing and Tane teaching him his heritage and how it helps you in life, something to hold on to. Brave choice for Perri blocking his dad on his phone. Would his dad know where this project/scheme is taking place so could therefore come to the bay? I do hope Tane has told/warned Mac he has taken someone in who may have someone coming after them. I have read on the Aus site some people think Perri's dad could be a RB but as we don't know where he comes from could be a long shot. I could be totally out there, but I have the feeling he'd only be in his early 30's had Perri the same age as Perri is now. Alf, for him, was a bit more restrained in his advice about getting involved with the RB's, to Mali it was just a job, which I hope he does get paid for. Rose on the other hand was coming across a bit heavy, more a concerned ex than cop methinks. Just as Levi starts his first day in his unit up pops his (and Eden's) dad James, did he really not know where he'd been for these last few months and not know about Levi and Imogen's break up? I suppose Imogen told him. I'm guessing if that is the case, he didn't know about his stabbing either. He wasn't bunking off already was he for his walk on the beach? I did like the banter between Levi and Dana. I'm not making excuses for either of them but I can see why James did what he did. Couples like him and his wife can live very happily for years but then the husband - or wife - can meet someone and realise there is something missing in the marriage, they love the other person but aren't in love with them anymore. In James' case it was more complicated as there were children involved - do you stay for the sake of them, keeping the family together or make the break? Kids aren't daft though they pick up on tension between mum and dad and sometimes blame themselves. Eden did tell Flick Cash had gone to Mango River on his day off. Eden wasn't supposed to be at Salt was she, she was asked to cover for Xander who she had just learnt was in hospital and I did I hear her say she'd be in as they needed the money! But, as luck or not had it she saw James, did we miss something or did she think, wrongly, Levi had asked him to visit, but as you said Red she stormed off while on shift again back to the Farm House and whacked Levi! I guess she didn't know he'd gone back to work, though that was a very short shift. I guessing she wasn't in the mood to listen to let him say he hadn't invited him to the bay. James was being a tad optimistic when we heard him say to Levi Eden would be OK - not from what we saw/heard!

The song on the walrus ad is Suddenly. Irene was especially snippy with Dana as she was nursing a hangover even the others wondered why she was so off with her. I know we've only see two, well three now RB's but pretty sure there must be more of them to cause such terror in one town. Pretty sure there would be more than one life guard on duty, it is a pretty long beach so it'd be impossible for just one to keep an eye on what may or not be happening. Would they have their own patch and it was Dana who abandoned hers? Besides they can't spot everything Theo just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I don't remember Harper physically dragging Dana away from her post. Theo must definitely stop beating himself up he did absolutely the right thing, no-one could have known about the other injury Xander had incurred. Dana for her possible abandonment of her post, acted very cool, getting Theo to call the ambulance and calling for the spinal board. Xander did seem to not to have swallowed much water, didn't see Theo pumping his chest and clearing his airway. Plus and minus sides of being a medic or ex in his case him plus side him telling Bree not to remove his neck brace as he couldn't feel his legs which he would have encountered before. But on the minus side like doctors and nurses it seems ex paramedics can be up there with being the worse patients, hassling Bree for an update. Obviously there were no bones broken the scan would have shown that up, but if muscle or tissue damage/swelling it wouldn't they're not that clever - yet. The muscles/tissues just need to go down. Dana, even if it was because of her eavesdropping, was able to update the rest of them what was occurring and didn't sugar coat it but kept it professional. The old "I don't want to know him/her" speeches do sometimes collapse when push comes to shove as it has with Dana/Xander. He did initially tell her to do one but had time to think along with a gentle nudge from Rose. Harper did get side tracked twice with telling Tane her/their(?) news, first off he was going looking for Perri, second was when she went to the hospital with Dana and Xander. She will have to pick her moment, he's got a lot on with Perri and is having to negotiate his way round his problems. I had to chuckle about the 'random' comment from Dana, it so isn't her style. OK yes Tane is still legally married, but she does know him and she could have backed away. She does owe it to him if she decides to keep the baby but they are hardly in the best situation to raise a child, friends yes but not a couple as such. Harper does have a few months left before she has to hide behind desks, sofas, big handbags. Perri may not like what his dad does and expects him to do, but he has probably had years of 'brainwashing' from him but now he is seeing things more clearer and able to make his own mind up. Tane rightly, I think, apologised for not warning Perri before Rose turned up. Do we know where Perri - and his dad - live? No spoilers as it was seen in the promo Levi and Eden's dad pitches up.

Tane is new at this mentoring lark but even Harper couldn't have known that the full facts weren't known about why Perri got nicked if it wasn't mentioned on his papers, keeping his dad out of it. At least Tane looking after someone's else's child is more legal this time, Perri at 17 can choose where he wants to live, bet his dad won't see it like that. I can see why Rose would be involved to keep it on the legal side and make sure Tane isn't breaching any of his conditions. Perri is very spooked by cops isn't he? Hopefully Tane rings Mac and gives her the full story as he knows it anyway. You do know Red the pill isn't 100% effective don't you? It can fail for any number of reasons. Harper knows how Tane feels about family but it's going to be a big deal for her too, is she ready for a baby? I usually like Kirby but even I thought she was OTT, never mind Remi throwing something at her I wanted to. She definitely needs another interest, write some new songs perhaps. It was only a quick flash by so neither Kirbs or Rose could identify Bree but it did shut down Remi's argument it wasn't him. Trouble is Remi making up this woman or if is she real Kirby will now want to meet her. No-one knows about Bree and her being Remi's passenger yet do they so no need for the discussion about her change of mind. Theo bunking off again though apparently with Justin's blessing.

I suppose we don't know what was written on Perri's records. Second time Tane's found someone on the beach, hope he doesn't make a habit of it. He, Perri, was a tad sensitive/secretive about his family life. Tane was shocked Perri didn't know anything about his Maori heritage. Here in the UK of course spanner can be a derogatory nickname for someone - as in you're a right spanner - but I'm guessing that wouldn't apply to him, but now I won't be able to take him seriously. Dingo's real name is David, but probably not butch enough for a RB. First time we've seen the blood and sand tat and Alf was right to warn Mali about being careful around them, not knowing of course he's already had dealings with them. Eden looked suitably surprised when Levi walked in, he had the EEK moment himself, but kept it civil until he stepped in to defend her when Dingo thought just because Rory was dating the boss he and Spanner were owed free drinks. She did allow them one each, but that is the norm for Salt, Mac does it as does Flick. Her reply as to who he was "He's nobody" OUCH. It didn't put him off and stood up to him again, but as you said Red Spanner told him to back off and leave. Levi was concerned about Eden but although she denied it then she was worried about him. Very wise of him, Levi, not to push it with Tane, just two guys watching the footie. I'm loving Remi and Bree sneaking around and winding Kirby and Theo up though of course us in the know wouldn't have been surprised if Salt hadn't caught fire what with those hot glances between them. Who was looking after the store - garage - while Theo was quaffing away in Salt? They have had some very close calls - this time Eden bursting in and I'm guessing she let herself in with a key and the front door hadn't been left unlocked. Bree rolling off the bed when Eden nearly let herself into Remi's room then her having to sneak out the next morning. Pure luck none of Bree's gear was left in the hallway. Remi did get Eden to confess she was worried about Levi tackling Spanner and Dingo. Did we all miss something and Bree has changed her mind about the bike seeing as she was very happily riding on it.
