  1. The cops did arrive in the middle of the brawl so wouldn't know who started it, just needed to break it up. The fact Cash prevented Mouse threatening Eden may not have gone unnoticed by Gage. Did I miss something or was it only Eden trying to calm things down? Both Eden and Lacey are strong ladies so no surprise they clashed and I know I've said this before but Lacey does remind me of Flick. Lacey is a RL so knows the rules, but not afraid of taking the chance of playing away. Gage I'm thinking has taken over from Rory who was the last RB who was in charge. Sign of the times I guess they've got CCTV and well protected property. Of course neither Theo or Sonny would have been aware of the trouble as where they were taken was well away from the bay. Theo's talents as a mechanic was needed to sort out Gage's motor for the race. Sonny was, oddly, the voice of reason trying unsuccessfully to get Theo out of there. The RB's do have their own kind of ethics Gage not racing as he was running the bets. Theo would have some experience of racing, he had that very fancy car when he first roared into the bay. He seemed to really enjoy it and he did beat that other guy and earned high praise from Gage. I wonder if Matt Evans did the driving himself or was a body double used? He was really into the idea of him going up against Gage using his own car but again it was Sonny who reckoned that would be a very bad idea. Sonny did give his share of the money, or some of it, to Remi, but as Remi said it wasn't about the actual money it was the betrayal. Hope he is giving Leah, who suddenly appeared, though briefly something for him staying there and eating them out of house and home. Marilyn is doing, though very sneakily, is what Roo should have done, once she realised Eliza is more troubled than it first appeared. Not just her acting a bit weird, the whole punching Scott then threatening him with a bottle thing should alert her. It did seem, though still not confirmed, she had set her last place on fire. Roo can as we know can be very stubborn when she thinks she's right. I still blame SS/Eliza's SW for putting someone like Eliza with a newbie emergency foster carer with a very limited back story on her. That was a loving chat between Cash and Eden, as he said he didn't fall for a musician all those years ago, he fell in love with who she was/is.
  2. Before we get to the story I have to say I really liked Ziggy's denim dress. Both Levi and Dean were more anxious about finding Roscoe knowing what he was planning to do to Ziggy and Mac than the ethics of bunging Todd in the boot. Handy how both Dean and Levi happened to be so sharp eyed. Roscoe for all his toughness didn't know he'd be taking on a RB. Did they truss him up before they went hunting for Mac and Ziggy, I'm supposing he would have disposed of them after setting Dean's car on fire which would have also set fire to the corn. Did like Dean's comeback to Levi "Can I ring the cops now". "Go for it". Considering, even allowing for how unethical Dean and Levi may have acted, they did catch two escaped prisoners and one was a killer, those cops were treating them like they were the bad guys. I reckon they were miffed seeing as it was two civvies catching them. Hope Mac and Ziggy got checked out at a hospital. They had to bring up Dean's past didn't they which I think is why Levi 'owned up' and said he'd hot wired the car, didn't mention the smashed window. I loved Karen's reaction - so her. It did finally click for Dean when he saw how attentive he was with Mac and Karen dropped her two pennth in too. Karen had also mentioned Brett earlier, wondering how he was getting on being on his own. At least they would have parting on good terms, maybe Levi should have taken up Dean's offer to show him how to hot wire a car, you never know when it could come in handy. Now I feel Kirby was right to nudge Mali into saying goodbye to Rose, they were a good couple once so they needed a proper goodbye, even talking about old times and being able to laugh about it. Rose had a right crush on Cash when she first arrived, before she found out he was her friend/stepsister's - Jasmine - boyfriend but once she'd got over that they become good colleagues and friends, though they did clash occasionally, mostly over Cash's paranoia over Tim. Another noticeable absence from Rose's goodbye was Leah. Remi, not surprisingly, is ignoring Sonny's calls/text's. He's more focused on Justin being able to get Forrest to agree to this deal re Kirby's songs. Not been said but I'm hoping he has filled Leah in on his latest venture. Just as Rose leaves, tipping off Cash about the RB's latest scam is, it resurfaces with a brawl outside the Surf Club so all systems go. It looked from what we saw on the trailer that Theo is getting in deeper.
  3. Dean has reverted to type but he's trying to save Ziggy who's pregnant and his sister. His past experience as an ex con did come in handy though, though how he knew where the local nick was wasn't explained so knew where they would be heading. Where were all these people who left their cars? Apparently you can still hot wire new cars then. Levi did have a moment checking the local radio to find out who those two ex cons were and how much danger Ziggy and Mac were really in. To be fair the cops on the road block wouldn't have known those cars were stolen. But yeh Queensland cops do seem to have the same mindset as Yabby Creek cops. Handy that the roads both cars were driving on were so straight so they were so easy to follow. Levi, of course is the more level headed but he did threaten Todd that he'd let Dean off his leash if he didn't tell them where Roscoe was taking Ziggy and Mac. Did Dean leave SB to take up a new job as surfing instructor along with Ziggy? I imagine everyone back in SB will thinking Mac and Levi are having such a super time which is what they haven't heard from them. At least it was back to normal in the bay - It did seem Irene was back to her usual self, she was a lot more relaxed, joking with Rose about it being her last shift before she went to the city. Lovely that she thanked Bree and Rose for their talk. Justin definitely wins the foot in mouth award. People really do need to learn to speak to each other. Eden appeared to take it well in front of Kirby but not when they were out of earshot. Remi offering to be Kirby's producer will also give him some purpose and something to spend his money on, plus he'll need it to take on Forrest if he's planning to get Kirby's rights to her songs back. I don't think Eden is that bothered about Lyrik not starting up again, Theo has got his new purpose - fixing cars, Kirby has hers and now Remi, she didn't want to take up Remi's suggestions she be a session musician, she wants something that'd be hers.

  5. Before we get into the nitty gritty of the story, they were lovely underwater scenes with all of those beautiful fish. I bet the cast loved filming it Loved the look of that chippy they went to. I enjoyed seeing Dean again, he didn't hide his disdain of Levi but he shouldn't tar Levi with the same brush because of the way his and Mac's dad treated his and Mac's mum. Rick was a serial cheat. Some men and women do fall in love with the woman/man they are cheating on their husband/wife with. Levi didn't lead Mac on and keep telling her "It's not the right time to break up with Imogen as it's not the right time blah blah". Levi intentionally or not had digs at Dean. "Can you steer a boat?", "Do you have a licence?". Oh and apologies to Dean he hadn't upset anyone. Just bad timing those escaped cons tipped up when they did looking to car jack a motor and Ziggy and Mac just happening to be there so of course they had to take them as hostages. More bad timing that Levi and Dean had gone off to have their talk. Funny too how that lookout point was deserted with just Levi, Dean, Zac and Ziggy there, always the way isn't it? Dean did spot the guys had prison gear on but then he would know about that. I'm guessing Levi will be putting in a call to the local plod to alert them? No it wasn't made clear if Eden knew about where Irene had actually been, if she did and Irene had asked for an alcoholic drink what she would have said/done. Cash was lovely with Irene, not making a fuss, just offering to take her home. Irene had nothing to reproach herself for, she did resist temptation so should feel proud. Wouldn't have been easy looking at all those bottles of booze so maybe as I thought she was testing herself but passed with flying colours. It seems her old routine isn't fitting in with her life outside of rehab. Back there everyone had the same routine so were able to fit in with each other but now other factors come in so is that why she switched off her watch that alerted her at 10'clock you do this, at 11 o'clock you do this and will be making a new routine? Of course Irene also took Cash, Dana - along with Harper under her wing.
  6. I'm lucky that I've got Freeview so haven't missed anything, you do have to remember which one it is you want to watch, I took the precaution of recording both. Yep it does look like we've got ourselves a new RB leader as in Gage, I misread his name before. Now Theo knows who Sonny's new 'mate' is when he saw the tat, rubbish security at their hangout - I know it had CCTV - they've gone very upmarket and it's not cheap - but just that hook on the gate? Theo seemed torn between not wanting to get involved with them, they dodged his questions about the cars and where they had come from and what they were for and wanting to work on the cars, Gage is certainly not one to be messed with. Then Theo saw Lacey, who reminded me of Flick, which really got his engine overheating. Sonny for all he didn't know about the RB's caught on pretty quick that they weren't the sort to be messed with. They both agreed that was a one off but of course it won't be. I thought that about Theo letting Justin and Leah know about their new house guest. Leah will also need to be about as Justin has some big news for her as in he's now Kirby's manager. It seems Remi had cancelled his card as Sonny found out to his cost - sorry no pun intended - when he went to pay at the Diner. It wasn't the money Remi was that bothered about it was the move on Bree. when Justin just couldn't get Kirby's frantic hand movements behind Remi's back when he walked in and said hey great about the loan to set her up. Thankfully it got sorted quickly and they must have heard me as it looks like it will be a business arrangement. Lovely that Remi hadn't forgotten how Kirby had bailed them out with money from her royalties so he hadn't taken it for granted and if I heard it right he's letting her use the studio he bought/rented. Moving on from that a bit OK Eden is no longer in Lyrik which she is fine with but she doesn't know about Kirby's ne plans does she? How will she feel about it? Rose was a right tease by letting Cash think she'd come to tell him bad news. Human nature isn't it, when Cash said he wasn't that bothered about getting the promotion, then he got twitchy when 'they' weren't letting him know if he'd got it. I'm guessing he didn't have to have an interview for it? It did seem OK with Irene going back to work and whoever's idea it was she started off on the coffee cart got it right. A smaller outlet in the open air so she didn't feel enclosed, only serving coffee/tea and I think small snacks so not having to worry about taking any breakfast/lunch orders. Good that Dana was able to stay with her as back up. Did Cash really not know about her being in rehab or was he being diplomatic? It appeared all her customers were glad to see her back and not all of them would know where she'd been. But then she went walkabout and ended up in Salt, had it been too much, change of routine, and was she testing herself to see if she could get through it without hitting the bottle? Oh and we briefly saw Mac getting driven off in that black car. Had Dean upset someone?
  7. True, Mac did see Mali and Tane as 'family'. It had been mentioned Eliza didn't get on with the other kids at her last school, we all know how cruel kids can be if someone is 'different' as in Eliza being fostered, which is why Roo offered her home schooling, not that there has been much of that. My mind must be going but I though Karen had offered Ziggy a beer. I'm glad I have Freeview so I've been able to watch the 5* episodes. Back to normal next Monday. Remi obviously charmed Bree's mum, though he's an old hand at charming the ladies. She did ask the age old question of "What do you do for a loving?" Which has prompted him to get a regular job as a session musician. Sonny really overstepped the mark, OK both Sonny and Bree were a bit tipsy and her saying how it was for her due to having no money and having to work her way through Med school, but didn't Jacob also help support her her? made her more sympathetic but he so misread the signals. I suppose the difference there was Sonny had - or rather his parents did have money - until they lost it so knew privilege. He made a couple of jibes at Remi last night regards his sudden wealth which Remi finally picked up on. I think I've said before I think Sonny's problem with Remi is he walked away from his rich life whereas Sonny lost his. Remi has never taken any money from his family, their lifestyle and type of music wasn't for him so went his own way. Remi was a bit slow not noticing Sonny still had his credit card. I know Sonny has been hitting it pretty hard but I don't suppose he's made much of a dent in five mil $? I think Theo is uncomfortable about Sonny still using Remi's card especially now he's been kicked out and he's heard Sonny's snide comments. Anyhoo it looks like things could be going a different way for Sonny with that meeting up with Gabe, Theo had departed before we saw the Blood & Sand tat, we know what it means but Sonny wouldn't know a RB if he fell over him. Yep ultra bad timing Kirby needing to ask Remi for a loan, but it could be put on a business footing and she, Justin and Remi could get a contract set up and put in writing. I hope Justin tells Leah about him becoming Kirby's manager - no secrets remember. Remi does know how good Kirby is so not a fly by night and Lyrik used to play her music after all. Perhaps Justin needs to step in and broker the deal if Kirby feels uncomfortable about broaching it to Remi. Not Maz's fault about the bad timing wanting to speak to Irene about Eliza. I'm guessing she may have meant the Royal 'we' as Jett originally lived with John and Gina and they were just about to adopt him when she died. I said ages ago the reason why Irene didn't want go to the wedding was because of all the booze there would be sloshing about, not just 'seeing' it but the smell of it. I know Dana said she'd look out for her but Irene said she didn't want that. Good idea of Dana's - see she does have them - for Irene to go back to the Diner, not full time of course, but a few hours a week would break her in gently and get her used to dealing with the general public again, as so far all the people Irene has had contact with is her friends.
  8. But men don't get called women eaters. Women usually get called a lot worse. Tane and Mali aren't relatives of Mac though, just her lodgers. May have seemed what she thought was wise move for Roo to ask Cash to speak to Eliza but she certainly couldn't have known how Eliza would react the way she did. It did prompt her to ask if Cash could find out more about Eliza's history before she went into care, are the SW's not allowed to reveal that to the next foster carer? I'm guessing Cash didn't or couldn't say why she was forcibly removed from her parents, I felt it couldn't have been something she was responsible for otherwise they wouldn't have sent her to her grandmother. But her grandmother dying and she had been hiding in a wardrobe did ring alarm 's. She was fixated on the fact Scott had 'stolen' her phone, something Roo had given her so it was 'hers'. I'm totally theorising her but maybe she never had much to call her own, so that is why she is so protective of her jewellery box. I'm still not, unlike others, thinking she's evil, but does have some really psychological problems which have never been picked up on. That smile was a bit out there though, it started off genuine but changed. Cash couldn't do anything as Scott's parents decided not to press charges. It was mentioned when Roo told Marilyn and Alf about Eliza first coming that she had been in care since she was 10 and is now 14. It did definitely put the kibosh on her attending Tane's Youth Programme. I'm supposing she had been at a school before she came to the bay? I must be the only one glad to see Dean, Ziggy and Karen. Oh and it was deftly mentioned in passing Ziggy is 12 weeks gone, I'm supposing Karen doesn't know yet as Ziggy neatly dodged the beer Karen offered her. I thought one of the reasons Dean didn't want children was because he was worried they would inherit his mum's and maybe his mental health problems. Once it was pointed out by Ziggy that Mac and Levi have been together a year now, so not a fling Karen did soften a bit. Dean did get worn down by the ladies in his life as it seems they are going on a road trip - YEH! Wasn't Dean anti Colby when he and Mac got together? Sonny has revived Kirby's thoughts about a solo career. She, as she said to Justin wouldn't be deserting Lyrik as it is no more. I think she loves her teaching surfing side of her job but it's the rest of it. She is getting more distracted when working in the shop. Rather sweet she's aske Justin to be her manager, hopefully this time round she'll be more wary of what she signs up for. I find Mali and Abby's to and froing quite amusing, both keep apologisng for any misunderstandings they keep having with what's been said/done. No spoilers as we saw them in the trailer but it looked the RB's have arrived back in the bay. It looked like one of them was tempting Sonny as he of course has no idea of who they are.
  9. It was lovely seeing Dean and Ziggy again and a hidden bonus Karen! Of course not forgetting little Izzy. He's done very well for himself it seems, going by the place they are living in - does proves a bad boy can turn his life around. Let's not forget Ziggy was quite a wild child in her youth. My memory is failing me why did they leave SB and move to Queensland? Just looked it up it was he could be nearer his son Jai. That was two years ago. At least Dean kept his insults verbal and didn't hit Levi but Karen was ready to chuck in her two pennorth. She'd had a fling with a married man - Rick - Mac's dad but he was well known for being a womaniser unlike Levi. It was the first time Dean and Levi had met so of course he - Dean - wouldn't know what type of guy Levi is. Dean seems to forget Levi did save Mac's life. Going off on a tandem somewhat a guy who has several affairs is called a womaniser but if a woman does the same is she called a maniser? It does happen - a husband/wife has an affair and he/she does fall in love with the person they are having the affair with and stay with them and don't cheat. Levi did eventually tell Imogen. As you said Red, the others like Eden, Abbey, Flick and although nothing to do with them Tane and Mali have come to terms with it and know Levi's feelings for Mac are genuine. But Dean and Karen don't know him yet, though Ziggy is more accepting of them being a couple and was trying to keep the peace. Nothing to do with the SL but did Eden, Abbey and Levi's dad stay with the women he left their mum for? Eliza really has never had a mobile of her own? Not even knowing how to put numbers in it, I have probs but I'm old but kids her age and younger learn it like they do their ABC's. No wonder she got so upset - to put it mildly - when Scott snatched it to put his number in it, any other teenage kid wouldn't be at all bothered but she couldn't grasp that is what they do so that is why she so overreacted - in her head it was hers. Roo did kind of set down some rules, Eliza either goes back to Tane's classes and gets into her home schooling or she goes to proper school. She and Scott seemed to be getting on well until that moment him even joking about her not hitting his face again. Something else Eliza couldn't grasp was the fact she hit Scott and was told off for it but Tane was teaching boxing lessons which involves hitting people, though he did explain it was more self defence. Anyhoo, it does make her still being in the programme very unlikely, a punch is one thing, but threatening someone with a broken bottle is completely different. Roo always appears out of nowhere. Was a twist of Abbey seemingly stalking Mali then him appearing to do the same when he got snappy about her coming home late and not letting him know. No, it's nothing to do with him being controlling it's just a decent thing to do, if it was a bloke not letting their other half know they were hanging back at work and had eaten there women would be up in arms about it. He did make that meal for them to I guess celebrate it being their first night being back together and on their own. At least they're not a boring couple.
  10. It seemed Tane did see Eliza hit Scott so did the right thing about telling Roo, but then Eliza lied to Roo about why she hit him. Roo did rather bully Tane into giving Eliza another chance, but he can't really be seen to have 'favourites', it'd give the others the wrong impression and may not loo good for any further classes/courses he wants to hold it TPTB hear about it. OK Eliza has apologised to Tane but shouldn't she be apologising to Scott! Tane is taking his courses seriously as because of course at one time, as we saw when we first saw him he had a bad rep, he was them and he didn't have this way out so wants to give them the chance he never had. That apology to Tane about stealing the ultra scan photo was pretty half hearted, but I think he was letting it go as he was just glad to get it back in one piece. What is the fascination with Harper's ultra scan and her comment that some babies are born and some die? Why did SS - or whatever the equivalent is in Australia - put Eliza into Roo's care, was it because she just happened to be next on the list? They would know Eliza's history and why she's been in foster care for four years so I'm guessing they know she has problems so why place her with a newbie who has no experience of handling a troubled teen. That was certainly one hell of a rant from Eliza towards Roo. As said before it seems Eliza has been through a few foster homes so may have seen both sides, the good ones like Roo who do care for their charges and those who just care about the money they get for each of them. Abigail is another troubled soul, they do tend to gravitate to the bay don't they? It was good Mali put his foot down and told her how it was which she did accept and she owned up the fact her leaving him in the lurch would mean he'd be short staffed so she should have waited until he'd got someone new. She was up for helping him when she wasn't working in Salt, dare say they can arrange it so they are not working together. Especially as it seems they'll be living together again just as they agreed it wouldn't be a good idea. Levi has made a 360% turn in that regard. OK Mac's recent absence from Salt was to visit her sick mum but she's only just come back and is now off again! I'm supposing from Mac's reaction to Levi's brilliant idea they stay with Ziggy and Dean in Queensland is down to her knowing how Dean would react to seeing Levi. She must have filled him in at some point in the past. We did see from the trailer how welcoming Dean was - . Mac is a fully grown woman though and knew what she was getting into. Maybe Levi didn't tell her he was married when they first got together but if I remember correctly he did tell her before they slept together so the choice was hers if they went ahead. Funny how sometimes we can work out how an one sided conversation is going - as it was with Levi and Imogen's. These no blame divorces do get settled very quickly - he only started the ball rolling when Mac went to see her mum - didn't he with a bit of prompting from Abigail? Went amicably enough and it was good to know she'd found someone new.
  11. Eliza is one complex character for someone so young, you can't put your finger why she is the way she is, she seems very distanced from everyone whether that is because she doesn't know how to relate to people or something in her life we don't know about. She has given Roo the odd hug but was that something she's been 'taught' to do. I had the same instinct about Roo's reaction when Marilyn tentatively approached her about her missing money, she'd already told Alf about it, and then querying what Eliza had been looking up online. She was very defensive which said to me she does have her own doubts but doesn't want to face them. Eliza was very off with Maz. How come Roo managed to get Eliza in Tane's class so quickly? Roo did have to bribe Eliza to get her to go to Tane's class which isn't a good sign, is she going to have to keep doing that to make sure she keeps going? On an aside Tane had to tell Roo to buzz off when she wanted to hang around to see how Eliza got on so good on him. Eliza is just as fascinated as she was before with Harper and her pregnancy now she's stolen the latest scan photo. But fortunately or unfortunately for him as it turned out Scott spotted her. He didn't want to dob her in but he warned her he would but he didn't get the chance - she can certainly pack a punch and I'm NOT being sexist, I'm guessing Scott won't tell Tane what happened, he'll just avoid her from now on. Very odd behaviour when she was with him and Tane later she was just standing there watching him bleed though Tane had asked her to get a glass of water. I'm hoping Tane mentions it to Roo. Sonny did take it well and although I had my doubts if he was telling the truth about his nan dying when Bree said it had been a sad day it turned out he was as Remi confirmed it so apologies Sonny. I'm hoping that hug was a friendly hug. Theo did put Sonny in his place when he said Remi had a charmed life by telling about him being run off the road and not suffering the odd scratch but had nearly died. He does like working on Theo's car so looked disappointed when Theo said he was working at the Caravan Park to get some extra dosh so decided to join him. He did look a tad nonplussed when he found what it involved, Alf certainly had some tasks mapped out for Theo, but to him he got stuck in. Though of course it did mean they could finish early so could get back to the car so not entirely altruistic on his part. I may being suspicious but why did he give Theo his half of the money? Is Sonny a qualified mechanic or just likes messing about with engines? I suppose Justin could offer him a job at the garage either way?
  12. Yes I do actually, we all forget what happened when and who was involved.
  13. Irene really can't blame John for all the ills that have befallen her, I think it was more the fact he saw her at her lowest when he found her drunk at the bottom of the stairs. Would she be acting like that if it had been Leah, Harper, Dana or Maz? John may have the tendency to put his size 12's in it times but he can be discreet when needs to be. That T&T didn't go that well John and Leah were talking away but Irene just zoned out, Sad he had to leave town so he could give her space. But not everything goes Remi's way, he's hardly been living the high life. He did get his hand smashed up by Jacob. We haven't go a clue really of what Sonny has been doing when he hasn't met up with Remi, Kirby and Eden or how long it's been since he last saw them. I reckon he could be quiet lonely even though he gives the impression he likes being a loner. That look he gave Bree and Remi when he saw them on the beach was very envious. Remi's refusal to go and do the usual arcade thing made sense when we saw why later, couldn't be a yearly thing though as Remi was rather occupied this time last year. Read on to find out why. Bree was fine with letting him do his boys thing but Remi was very insistent. I did when Remi told Bree why they were having that picnic, it was to commemorate the fact it had been a year since her dad died, it was a personal thing to her so no wonder he didn't want to elaborate on it to Sonny. It does mean of course it's also a year since Remi was knocked off his bike, kidnapped by Mickey and Wes, then dumped by the roadside and rushed to hospital in a life threatening condition. Sonny's easy life was taken away from him when his dad went bust but that wasn't Remi's fault so did he/does he resent Remi walking away from his? He did show Theo and Justin photos of the cars his dad did have and appears to know what he is doing mechanically wise. He couldn't grasp that Theo needed to work to keep up his loan repayments. Justin made another very wise remark to Theo, OK to work all the hours God sends but if you are knackering yourself you won't be fit enough to go lugging heavy equipment about or concentrated enough to do fiddly jobs which could cause a more costly mistake Not surprising I guess Rose would be having a few wobbles about her tec' course, if she'd pass muster and make it. Kirby looking forward to the party, of course she's got to have one. I think Bree would like being on her own, she can invite Remi over whenever she likes and kick him out when she wants too.
  14. Maybe Dana shouldn't have gone against Irene's wishes but she was stuck in the middle, Irene wouldn't tell her why she didn't want John to see her and John couldn't understand why she didn't want contact with him, he even asked Justin but he doesn't know anything. She cares for them both so took the by the horns and is forcing them to talk to each other. I did feel for Leah when Irene had a go at her for turning up late for her walk which disrupted her routine. Irene needs to remember it's not like it was back at rehab, the people there didn't have anything else going on, but Leah and Maz and Dana have jobs and lives to live so can't always be there on the dot of 10am for instance. Irene's spreadsheet of her daily activities was well mapped out. Was quite a girly/womanly episode with Rose, Abigail, Eden and Kirby talking about their different options and their lives. Only natural I guess Rose would be having a wobble about becoming a detective, but she was well encouraged by the other three. Abigail appeared to have got over her problem with Rose being Mali's ex. The invisible Sarge seems to think Cash would be the right replacement for Rose who put his name forward, do none of the other cops at Yabbie Creek get a look in, wouldn't they be a bit miffed to say the least. I know he'd been Senior Constable before and due to no fault of his own he got suspended, but then he quit. I can see why Cash wouldn't want to, he's been there, done that, it's less responsibility being an average cop, finish your your shift and go home, he wouldn't see Eden as much and after what they'd just been through he wants to be there more not less. Eden was canny though and spoke to Gary about it so in effect he was caught in a double pronged attack. People do have short memories don't they forgetting about his latest debacle, though no cop is perfect, look at the others that came before him. Well seeing as there is no Mango River cop shop any more the RB's do have to schelp to Yabbie Creek to hand over any documents, report in if on bail. I'm sure he will reporting back to the others to say Newman is back on duty. Pretty sure he won't the last one we'll be seeing.
  15. It did seem to come out of the blue that Leah and John had been visiting Irene as neither of them mentioned how she was doing previously, seems they used to ring ahead. I'm wildly guessing her but I'm thinking it was only pretty recently she was able to have visitors or wanted to see people. When Leah went into rehab she wasn't allowed any contact from the outside world right away, it may be a 'rule' they impose so the patient can adjust to their new environment. Didn't the same thing happen when Brody went into rehab? I do know why Irene is avoiding John but after my last spoiler blunder I'm saying nuffin. Not sure who was more startled when Dana came home and found Irene sitting on the sofa, she must have been tired after her shift but stayed up with her all night. Not surprising she had trouble keeping up with Irene when she was doing her walk/run on the beach. Good idea by the gang of three of setting Irene new routines - I suggested that - did when Irene came out of the loo and they all shut up - obvious sign they were talking about her. Irene was very gung ho about all these things she's planning, she'll be wearing them out. If Roo wasn't caught up with looking after Eliza she'd be there organising everything. Was she ever into fishing because Alf could be roped in to take the load off them. Hope we see Irene and Bree meet up as Irene needs to thank her for gently pushing her in the right direction. Abby did seem clingy at the caravan park so when she went to see him on the beach when he was working, it would seem - to him - like she was stalking him. The night before was that coincidence she came out of Salt just as he was packing up? She did admit to Levi she found it hard to trust people not just because what their dad had done but other people letting her down, Eden may have been included in that. But she shouldn't judge Mali on other people. Brilliant idea of Eden's that Abby swop jobs, he won't be her boss anymore, they won't be together more or less 24/7 but she's close enough to see him when her shifts allow. Mali got a shock when she said "We're finished" but quickly explained she was finished with working with him. OK Abby is no Xander but she does have experience on working behind a bar. She did reveal a secret Levi didn't want revealing until he and Mac had got to know each other again - cough, cough. It was hysterical when Eden was banging on the door counting down from five! It was a slow enough countdown so they were able to get more dressed than if she had speeded up. Then Mali, who didn't know he'd be interrupting anything, popped up behind Eden, but he did wisely retreat. Eden, sneakily or not, caught Mac at a real disadvantage by getting her to agree to take Abby on, double pay for covering after Xander had gone.

  17. Apologies for spoiler error. Leah did put her size tens in it again by saying to Irene that now she's left rehab she can just forget her routines she's come to rely on for six months, they kept her mind occupied and off craving booze so she needs different routines and wean herself off them gradually. Justin wasn't too overbearing, just a hello. hug and then went back to work. Good to see Maz and Alf welcoming her back, Maz in her own way was being the Maz Irene knows and keeping things normal. I think though the Wedding is the last thing she wants to be reminded of. It seems Irene hasn't been kept up to date with everything that had been happening in her absence. I'm trying to remember if she went into rehab before or after Flick's death. She definitely wasn't around when Eden got involved with Tim and her getting kidnapped by Nerida. Plus the news Roo is fostering a young girl called Eliza who as Maz hinted at is different. I get now what Leah meant about Dana and Harper making sure the Beach House was clear, meaning no worry of Irene finding any booze she may have hidden away. Against what I was thinking would happen Irene wanted to spend the night alone. Levi got the wrong end of the stick again re Mali and Abby! He did just jump to the conclusion Mali was inviting himself back to the Farm House when it was Abby's idea which Mali turned down. Mali was surprised Rose and Abby had had a woman to woman chat about him, wonder his ears hadn't been burning. Mali and Abby did have a lot to talk through and Mali did admit he didn't always tell the whole truth to Rose, but most of the time he was covering for a friend. It could be seen both ways, Abby just doing what anyone would do going to see your boyfriend/girlfriend on the beach but from Mali's POV she was checking up on him. He never cheated on Rose so there is no reason to think he'd cheat on Abby. Mac is coming back tomorrow then which cheered him up.
  18. I hope we get a proper farewell for Rose than we did for Xander who didn't actually have one. Was a nice little chat between Dana and Rose, does Bree know btw as she'll be left in the Diner flat on her own. I'm guessing she'll stay there rather than move into Lyrik's house, gives her a bit of space. Was it mentioned how Xander took the news? I'm supposing Rose will move back in with her mum for a while. Kirby, quite rightly, stayed out of the Abby/Rose/Mali problem. it was between Mali and Abby and how they handled things. I know Mali said he'd speak to Abby but I thought Rose did the right thing as Abby could hear from her own lips - a woman to woman thing - how things had been with her and Mali and while admitting he could tell half truths at times it was usually to help a friend and her parting remark was about Mali being one of the good guys so she shouldn't give up on him. Mostly it was down to Rose being a cop and it clashing with her and Mali's relationship. Irene's when John and Leah pitched up for the second time in two days. Why are they pushing her so hard to come back to the bay? The Wedding isn't until five weeks time, did I mention that?, is it so they can break her in to be prepared for it? As said before I loved Irene's back in your box girlie comment to Leah. I get that that music in the painting room was meant to be soothing but it would drive me to drink. Did I hear Leah saying something to Dana about sorting the Beach House out for Irene's return? They did manage to get her back to the bay and I'm supposing she wanted to visit the Diner to put off going home. Rather a OTT welcome from Dana but well meant, just a lovely to see you and no mention of where she'd been. That was bad timing Dana having to work that night so it would mean Irene being on her own on her first night back but I thought perhaps either John or Leah could stay overnight to ease her in. John, Leah and Dana could take turns being there for her. I hope Irene doesn't see it as them keeping guard on her. I may be totally wrong here but I think Irene's worry is how people treat her, not saying anyone would be judging her, but the way, those in the know, would be looking at her, waiting for her to fail. She has tumbled off the wagon before but this time it was a particularly bad fall. It would make anyone twitchy. Also when someone, say Justin, runs into her how do they greet her, "Hey glad to see you back, hope you're OK" or words to that effect and nothing else or not say anything as they would be worried about saying the wrong thing. I'm guessing Maz had done her three days which was why we didn't see her. It will be interesting, to say the least, should Irene and Eliza come across each other and how that will go.
  19. It was good to see Dana again and lovely to see her and John's friendship back as it used to be. I would have thought she'd been involved in the Wedding preps anyway seeing as Harper is in the city and it makes total sense, well to me at least, her and Tane should work together, she does the bridey side and he does the groomy side. Both Tane and Cash got a tongue lashing about their feelings about the Best Man speech, but it looked like they had backed down with Cash telling Tane he'd go and help him sort his outfit out as it comes under Best Man duties. One thing, Tane said to Dana the musician he wanted to book couldn't do it as too short notice - Um there is a (former) band in town and they don't have any gigs to get in the way - I think they're called Lyrik. Btw how long is it now to the Wedding, is it five weeks? I may have missed that bit. Sarge is still invisible then as I don't think he'd appreciate his station being invaded by an uptight Maid of Honour wanting to berate the Best Man. They could always set Dana on the River Boys as there isn't a cop shop at Mango River any more - now that would scare them. Great to see Cash being behind Rose applying to become a detective which means I guess she'll be returning to the city pretty soon. I'm guessing Cash is on Senior Constable's wage, though I could be wrong, and he has been there, done that, had the badge but it is less hassle being your average plod. John was a busy boy. Although nothing had ever been said onscreen it appears Leah, John and maybe Maz have been in contact with Irene keeping her up to date on the goings on in the bay. What has triggered us seeing her is Irene not wanting to come to Harper's Wedding so John and Leah decided to go and see her without warning her first which threw her, to ask her why. I loved it when Irene told Leah to wind her neck in - YES our thoughts exactly. I loved how John was worried enough to call her later and she answered and said she was scared. I was wondering what was scaring her but then I had a moment, she'd been invited to a Wedding and what is being splashed about at Weddings - booze, Champers, wine, spirits, beer. It would be a lot to handle for someone who is going through rehab if only for a day. Harper would understand why Irene wouldn't feel able to come. On a side note Theo is looking for any spare jobs going to keep ahead of his loan payments but if he's tied up with them isn't that delaying the work on the car?
  20. I think it was said Remi and Sonny grew up in the same neigbourhood and went to school together and their families were friends. It seemed they were in an affluent place but then as Sonny said his dad lost all their money and I shouldn't second guess them, those types of people abandon someone who isn't one of them anymore unlike us 'normal' folk. That sounded like the Remi we know, him selling his bike and giving Sonny the money so he could go and do his own thing. I'm still wary of him though he had an odd look on his face when Bree got up to get some more drinks. I wondered if I missed Kirby not being there so thanks for confirming she wasn't. It appeared no-one noticed Cash and Eden slipping away to her room. Inevitable Theo would have a sore head the next day. Not sure about Sonny's suggestion about Theo earning some money by other means. Neither Cash or Eden can guarantee they will be a long term couple or get married no-one can, I get Remi is worried Cash could hurt Eden again but hey it could happen the other way around, she could dump him! Cash seemed to be having a few in depth conversations, Eden, Remi and Tane. Did have to chuckle about Tane being tasked to sort out the flowers, she's certainly cracking the whip while in the city, there are three florists in Yabby Creek who knew. It isn't a blokey thing really is it, did I miss something or is Dana staying with Harper as it would have been something she would have taken on as she'd know what flowers Harper would like and we haven't seen her for a few days. Isn't a Best Man's speech down to the Groom to sort out so nothing to do with the Bride aka Harper so why is she asking for it to be formal? Cash and Tane only really got to know each other when Felicity and Tane become an item so not as if they are buddies from way back. Besides Best Man speeches are meant to be lighthearted aren't they? Was Eliza really on her own all that time, Roo left in daylight but when we saw her with Alf it was dark. When did Maz came home from the Diner? She, Eliza, doesn't seem to have any filter the way she talks to people, but Roo telling her off like a little kid isn't helping. Eliza was very twitchy when Roo took her laptop off her and as it is Roo's laptop why didn't she have a quick glance at it to see what Eliza had been looking at? Tane is still running his youth programme then, but last time he went through the applicants with Harper as she was their SW so was able to chose the one(s) who would be most suitable. Now Roo just rocks up and puts Eliza's name forward but wouldn't her SW need to be consulted to see if she'd be a suitable fit? We know that Eliza isn't that comfortable with that many people around her so not sure how that would work out. Ooh and we saw a rather tense conversation with Irene, John and Leah at the rehab clinic.
  21. I think Roo should talk to Eliza's SW who may be able to shed more light on why Eliza is like she is, were there problems before she had to leave her real home. Another Home Schooling lesson went awry and her planned fishing trip with Alf didn't happen. Eliza did seem drawn to Levi ad him being a surgeon and did seem fixated on how you become one, and what qualifications you needed. Not the usual question people normally ask about cutting into bodies and him saying you practiced on cadavers. Then she was looking at the instruments they use - which was pretty odd. it is good Alf is still standing up her her and Maz being Maz who normally likes to see the good in people is concerned why Eliza is so not with it and her y senses were twitching. Remi and Cash are as bad as each other, Levi did hope to intervene by sneakily getting them together to talk which went down like a lead balloon. Cash, to me, is being as obsessive with Remi and his non-apology as he was for his reason for breaking up with Eden. They either both need their heads banging together or people should just back off and let them get over it in their own time. Just doing it for Eden's sake won't solve the problem long term. In Remi's eyes the reason why Cash dumped Eden was to him explicable and something he couldn't get his head around. If they had broken up because Cash had cheated he could have understood. Sonny being an outsider so to speak is able to see it from a different perspective. Back when Eden and Sonny met it would have been when Levi and Eden were estranged, Remi may have filled him in without going into it too much. It took long enough for us to find out about her home life. See Remi is still letting Sonny splash his cash or rather his card about ordering all that booze for the party. Cash was invited but turned it down but as we saw he did pitch up.
  22. Well OK Roo has jumped from sorting out Eliza a place at Summer Bay High to home schooling her, is Roo up to date on her teaching credentials to do that, has she ever home schooled before, wouldn't she have to get it OK'd by the appropriate authorities, know where Eliza is schooling wise so she's not going over things Eliza has already learnt? We did learn she is very bright but had trouble fitting in with the other kids. Mind you they didn't even start as Alf whisked her off to the Bait Shop. It is meant to be an emergency placement so by definition should only be a short stay until TPTB find her somewhere more permanent/suitable which will be more disruption for Eliza. Back in the day we did see a lot of Summer Bay High which people on H&A FB page keep banging on about but there are no kids of school age around anymore. It is rare we see inside Corrie schools and when we do it's just Weatherfield High. MF - Eliza does have a SW, but we've only seen her briefly, but Roo should contact her to get some more history on her as she really has problems with social interaction. Eliza seems to cope better with one-to-one connections, more than one person talking to her she seems lost. She did appear to have a fascination with life and death, asking Alf how it was for him in the war and how it was seeing dead people. Then the complete reverse seeing Harper with her bump and putting her hands on bump without asking which is a no-no, Roo more or less telling her to say sorry didn't go down well, but Harper being a SW could see it differently to Roo and maybe have come across people who have the same problem Eliza has. I don't want to label Eliza but could she be on the autistic spectrum, they can focus on particular subjects/things, hence the stolen lighter and now Alf's knife, she seemed very fascinated on that fish was it? in the bucket. I wonder how the fishing trip will go if it happens. I enjoyed, if that is the right word, Alf telling Roo to back off, he was doing fine with Eliza but Roo being Roo she has to be involved. Eliza did have problems understanding John explaining the directions for fitting the new batteries in the walkie-talkies and checking them off. Back to Harper - Tane may or not love her but he's rightly concerned enough that she is planning to drive to and from the city -aka Sydney - everyday so she can do her handover to the guy who's going to be her maternity cover. Levi is also worried about it, be knackering enough for someone who is fit, they may be lucky and have clear roads both ways, but anything can occur, an accident, road works holding you up and you're sitting there in the heat, but she is a heavily pregnant women who only recently had serious surgery and only just been released from house arrest. Dana, if she'd been there would be with Tane and Levi and definitely put both feet down. Was it Tane who had the suggestion - which I was screaming at her - I KNOW she can't hear me - she stay in the city. If Harper's bosses can't sort something she did say she could stay with a friend and Levi said he could arrange for her to get he next check up done at a city hospital. Yeh the part was addressed to Theo but equally it was addressed to Justin's garage. Methinks the reason Theo is digging his heels is down to male pride, deep down he knows Justin is right but doesn't want to admit it. Justin may have tons of experience and yes sometimes things brought online can be cheaper but only if they are fit for the purpose. Theo and I'm not saying all young folk are like it but they want to get things done NOW as they have no patience. This time it hasn't worked, so will cost them both time and money.
  23. It was back when Mac first left Levi said he and Eden would look after Salt, plus of course they were expecting Xander back, then it went all quiet, then Eden got kidnapped and had to take time off after she'd been injected with Ketamine. When did Eden get to be in charge? Both Levi and Eden assumed wrongly about Abby, but Eden hadn't been in contact with her for many years, though no real excuse for her jumping to the conclusion she did, I'm guessing Levi didn't do a RSA when he was a med student as he got the task of ringing up absent staff and asking if they could do a shift or have I missed him serving behind the bar? Did when Eden questioned Abby serving that couple with drinks which turned out to be mocktails. They did work together very well. I'm supposing Mac gave Eden carte blanche as to how she ran Salt in her absence. Abby did question Levi about not him telling Mac about his upcoming divorce but as he said Mac has enough to think about and it's more of a face to face conversation. Abby was left quite bereft when Mali stood her up - more of that later - and Levi said he was going to the hospital to get some work done. Did I hear Abby say about joining Mali in his van? I thought he'd moved back into the Farmhouse. I can see why Kirby was miffed when she got asked to take over Abby's shift at the last moment, just because as she put it, "She's your girlfriend", but it was to help family. OK she got inspired to write down some lyrics but she forgot about making that call Mali asked her to. I'm glad they made it up later. Xander is certainly chucking his weight about even if from a distance. Giving Rose and Dana his orders about packing this and that, making sure his board had it's cover on it. If he's that bothered he can come back and do it all himself. Who's paying for shipping his gear to Melbourne? Did Dana nick the robot? You saw by Mail's face when he learnt Xander wasn't coming back he would be concerned about Rose, Bree and Dana haven't known her that long. He went straight over, cancelling his dinner date with Abby, saying he had to see a friend, as he said to Rose he wasn't fooled by her "I'm OK" routine, he knows her too well to believe that. Yesterday's trailer we saw on Tuesday missed out the hug that Abby saw when she pitched up at the Diner's flat. We know it was just a friendly hug but Abby wouldn't. I'm thinking he didn't say who he was meeting as it's private thing for Rose. I hope he does fess up though, he kept enough secrets from Rose. kind of, was there a reason why Luke Van Os suddenly went off as he did, was he as Xander, meant to reappear in the bay then go back to Melbourne or was he meant to just 'vanish'?
  24. I mis saw about Sonny sneaking that girl in whose name he couldn't remember. Angela btw. Did remind me of the old Flirty Bertie Remi when he was sneaking random women in. Sonny did say they had just dumped Remi on the sofa, he must have gone out when he woke up to get some food which is why he wasn't there when Bree got back. Did she just let herself in or use an actual key? Sonny has now met Bree who he kept insisting wasn't real, I know I sound cynical but methinks he is going to be pretty jealous that Remi has found The One. I know it was a drunken apology from Remi to Cash so hope he doesn't take it back. I was half expecting Cash to find Remi asleep in his garden in the morning Could be seen two ways with Sonny questioning Kirby's choice to be OK with Lyrik breaking up, she could do her own thing in her own time or be perfectly happy as she is but he is just stirring it. A mention of her giving up med school for joining the band. I do believe Tane does care for Harper and not just because she is carrying his baby, they did get to know each other as friends before their one night stand so not total strangers. You can care for someone and then fall in love with them. That can happen with arranged marriages where couples only meet a few times before marrying and then never alone as they have to be chaperoned. One big thing in his favour he asked Dana where Harper would like to go for her/their honeymoon, turned out it was Japan and he's booked it for three months hence. That won't be cheap. I thought it was Harper wanting to get married before Archie arrived? I thought It could be a Maori belief that mum and dad have to be married before a a baby comes along. Dana was having real tunnel vision over Xander not coming back and sadly it was Rose getting both barrels, aside from her drunken ramblings to Sonny. Bree also got a blast when she got back to the flat and found out the news. to Rose finally turning on her and saying how she felt, Xander has also left her behind. Full marks then to Dana then for waving the and being fully contrite and apologising. It has started Rose wondering what she has left in the bay, after all it was Xander's idea they both move there because of Jasmine who isn't even a blood relative of hers. She did find it awkward at first being city cop, but she adjusted. In case you're wondering Rose, you've got a good job, Senior Constable, good friends, people who have welcomed you into their community and you are well liked.
  25. Cash put a very pointed question to Tane, but all we saw was him just looking at Cash, seemingly unable to answer. Maybe he doesn't know himself. I may be very fanciful here but does Tane think he would be betraying Flick in some way by telling Harper he does love her, if he does that is? Cash would care about Harper, he is an old friend so wouldn't want to see her hurt. There are plenty of couples out there where one of them, usually the bloke, hardly ever uses the L word, but they show it in many ways, but it's and again us women who like to have it said now and again. On the opposite side of the coin plenty of people say it and it means nothing to them, just a habit. They are usually the ones who go on and cheat on their other half. Dana, it appears was in Melbourne but is now on her way back. Tane must have felt really awkward, for the second time in just a few weeks, by asking Cash to be his Best Man, so good for Cash he took time to think about it and saying yes, a little mention of Flick being happy for Tane. We got a mention of who is likely to be among the guests, seems some family are coming over. Remi really should trust Eden to know what she is doing, she and Cash are taking it slow and no there is no guarantee she won't be hurt again, Eden could be the one doing the dumping at some point down the line. I can see why Remi's still very wary, it wasn't as if was over the 'usual' reason a couple break up, Cash cheating on Eden for instance, it was for most of Eden's friends a really bizarre reason, which was all in Cash's mind. It was Cash airbrushing Eden out of his life when she just wanted to talk to him that none of them could get over. Sonny, not knowing the details, may have thought he could look it at an outsiders angle and see a different way round it. He did break a very strict rule by playing Remi's - sacrilege that. Does no-one in the Lyrik house buy food? That cupboard was very bare, at least Mother Hubbard had an excuse. I'm hoping Sonny thought he was being helpful by pointing Theo towards a mate who could do good deals on car parts. Seems, then, Sonny knows his engines and cars, is it too soon to be expecting him to work in the garage at some point or am I being fanciful again? Justin, after all has more experience in the motoring trade so would know what to look for and he did point out the relevant things to look at, how old is it, does it have a warranty. I know it's just a fun project and if this part is naff, it can be replaced but then Theo would be paying out twice for something, so maybe it could be a valuable - not just money wise - lesson for him next time. Bree has come back and as we saw she thought it was Remi's body she was running her fingers up, then finding out it was a woman! I thought I saw Sonny sneak someone is, where did Remi sleep then?
