Wedding pics, a video of Ray & Belinda's appearance on Seven's Sunrise which has some behind-the-scenes stuff, and a rundown of Alf's past loves are in our article on the site if anyone's interested (or were avoiding spoilers before the ep). https://www.backtothebay.net/news/2020/03/10/uk-home-and-away-spoilers-alf-marthas-wedding/ They wouldn't have been asked in the first place. Instead they've filled up the ceremony with random extras who we are supposed to believe are like family to them, as per Alf's speech. Much cheaper. ?

She’s done the odd film/short, but mostly works on stage: http://pricecheckmusical.com.au/cast.htm https://artsreview.com.au/on-the-couch-with-jacqy-phillips/ https://www.macarthuradvertiser.com.au/story/5368767/short-film-shines-light-on-end-of-life-choice/

The song at the end of the 2019 season finale was 'Caught in the Fire' by Klergy. There's lots of songs in 6580 - the Jessica Mauboy song was 'Home to Me', and the one that Phoebe sang was 'Get Down' by Jess Kent. Not sure about the one that Matt sang, but it could have been one of his band's originals (it was his real-life band Interim that were performing on the show)

Channel 5 respond to cutting Robbo's car crash
-
The crash was shown in the recap of today's afternoon broadcast as normal... ? Which makes no sense. It aired in the promos, it aired in the recap... but it needs removing from the actual episode? Although very abrupt there was a fade to black, so it wasn't a glitch—someone cut it. The My5 version is also the same. I've made enquries to see if anyone can shed any light.

That was a bit of a mess wasn't it, I didn't understand it either. And will Colby be given a warning for going against strict instructions from his superior I wonder.....? ? Pernickety as it sounds, one part I found unbelievable was that the gunmen didn't hear the racket Colby & Dean (should have) made when they jumped down into the lift - obviously they had the advantage of a solid studio floor, but there's no way it would have been that quiet in reality. They were noisy when they made their escape off the top of the lift, but Phil inexplicably didn't hear that either despite being a matter of feet away... Dennis Hopper would have been onto them like a shot.... Wow, I hadn't checked the broadcast ep, but yes they most certainly did snip it off the end. That's a very recent edit as the UK press preview has it intact. If they haven't randomly added it onto the beginning of tomorrow's ep then that's got to be the most ridiculous censor of recent times.

Onto the 2020 Season next week, so time for a new thread for discussing the episodes at C5 pace from Monday onwards! As ever please be mindful of not posting spoilers (that includes eps airing on 5STAR) - if you do feel the need to, please use the spoiler tags ? Those who are interested in spoilers, but not necessarly at Oz pace, we're doing weekly preview articles on the main site (complete with a video slideshow if you just want to get the gist without the reading ?). We follow the pace for UK press, so every week there's articles added covering the following week. Here's the preview articles for this opening week (though be aware there's some very big spoilers within the articles):
-
Episode 7403, so it'll be over halfway through next season.

Flynn Saunders - Martin Dingle Wall & Joel McIlroy
Dan F replied to sallyandflynnfan's topic in Character/Actor Discussion
Bevan said at the time "The actor who played the first Flynn wanted out of the show so we were forced to recast, as we felt the character was too important at that point to lose." -
We sure do ? The frontage has changed quite considerably, but it's still the same house. https://www.backtothebay.net/locations/staceys-apartment/ (thanks to @QUIET ACHIEVER for the pics)

Yes they were indeed new stock shots ?

Two more character profiles added, both relatives of regulars - Patrick Stanwood (with thanks to our former team member Matt), and Russell Harris. Profile pics for a lot of the current cast have also been updated following a new photoshoot.
-
All the current regular profiles are now up to date to the end of June, with a new profile for Bella. Today we've also added a profile for Henri Brown, and a related minor filming location - Henri's City Home. Thanks to RR1 for the profiles and QA for the location pic.
-
A new filming location was added to the site a couple of days ago - Robbo, Tori & Jasmine's Safe House And it's that time of year again where we start updating our current character profiles to the end of June, with thanks to @Red Ranger 1. First up with have a newly completed profile for Brody Morgan, and updated profiles for Coco Astoni and Ryder Jackson. The rest of the cast will follow over the next week or so, with the newest updates visible on the homepage.

Not sure on that one I'm afraid, there weren't any tenants in it this time last year but that may have changed. A filming location that debuted in today's UK episode has been added, which may be familiar to those who watched another certain Aussie drama: https://www.backtothebay.net/locations/robbo-jasmine-toris-safe-house/ (just to note that whilst the page features images from scenes which are yet to air in the UK, these don't give away any plot details)

It comes down to either the terms or the cost of licensing the song. Whether it's Seven who were unable/chose not to pay for a worldwide licence when they picked the Taylor Swift song, or whether it's Channel 5's responsibility to license the songs for UK broadcasts themselves, I don't know. But it happens a fair bit with the more well known artists. The UK version was a Belgian artist named Alice on the Roof. Of course if they had had an underscore rather than relying on pop songs for big occasions, then they would avoid situations where people around the world see different versions of the episodes.... ?

That was Brett Egan (played by Emmanuel Marshall) in 1997. It started off with the usual "wind up the student teacher" capers and he attempted to rise above it, but it got progressively worse (releasing live chickens in the classroom) to the point where he rightly decided it was time to take a hard line and start punishing them. They turned against him further when he shouted at Kim Rose for ignoring him—thinking that her being deaf was yet another prank—and he humiliated Casey by reading out her particularly bad essay in class. I won't give an ep by ep account, but that went on for another week or two until Casey superglued him to the chair on his last day. Casey admitted it to Don, given that she was also leaving that same day and thought herself untouchable, but it did fracture her relationship with him which clearly upset both of them. So much so that he chose not to see her off, which meant she left under a bit of a black cloud. Joey did attempt to apologise to Brett before he left and Aaron obviously got a good serve from Alf and Ailsa which made him regret it somewhat. Brett actually returned in 2001 and had a short romance with Sally—but he had trouble controlling his temper with students and also bolted in a panic when Woody held up Sally's class. In the end he decided to resign and travel the world. Edit: Forgot to mention he also returned for a couple of eps in 2002 when Summer Bay High was facing closure—by that point he was working for the education department, and just after he left Sally happened to receive some leaked documents from the department which would go some way into helping them save the school.

Probably best for us not to speculate on what gender the character may have identified as at the time, so I've corrected it.

That's the episode I mentioned in your other thread, Episode 4069.

There's a couple of different ladies, one of them is actually Lynne McGranger's daughter. But no, as extras they don't generally speak - I'm sure at least one of them has been named in conversation but it wasn't clear which one they were referring to.
