  1. Makes sense now, never heard that one before ?
  2. The bracelet was Tori's gift to Grace, Christian was just helping her put it on. Probably just as well, as I dread to think how Jas would have reacted if it was from him... ? Yes Tori did rather strangely refer to Summer Bay as a village. Little factoid for today's UK ep - the Oz broadcast of the Witness X reveal used the Billie Eilish track 'No Time to Die' (the theme for the upcoming James Bond movie). Compared the two versions last week, and I think it's a rare occasion where the 'popular music' track actually worked much better than the scored music that UK/international viewers got... ?
  3. The one he looked at was just the two of them with Dean's car, so was presumably a memento of their 'trip away'.
  4. He also said to Nik, last week, that he didn't know there were drugs hidden in there until it was too late.
  5. Yeah he's oft-mentioned when they need some River Boy assistance, but the wedding has been his only appearance so far - the venue was his dad's property, and he also sorted out the booze. If it wasn't for that, he maybe could have been the Madge Wilkins of his generation...
  6. That's actually the same one you asked about a few months back ? If you go back a page you'll find it there (Another Light by Jude) - I'm guessing you saw it at the time as you clicked the thankyou icon on the post. ? From memory I think something got left in the oven...
  7. Another reminder that this thread runs at UK pace with no spoilers to be posted - we've had posts referencing characters who are yet to appear on UK screens.
  8. Yeah the credits definitely got things wrong again. I had to go direct to the script producer to find out Owen's proper surname so I could start using it in our cast lists/articles on BTTB a month ago (we were literally the only place to mention it, with all other sources using either Harper or Slater when including a surname). Although I don't know if it's actually been used in dialogue in the past few weeks (I'm a bit behind due to having to take time off from the site), he's still yet to be credited correctly at Oz pace.
  9. Well I had a hire car in NSW that had VIC plates on it... ? As I said, sometimes we just have to turn a blind eye - like the (rare) occasions where we see a reference to North Palm Beach surf club on-screen... or a wheelie bin with the Pittwater council logo on it.
  10. There's Currawong Beach, which is directly opposite Palm Beach on the other side of Pittwater - but the one in the show is a fictional place named Mount Currawong ? All the Blue Mountain location scenes were actually filmed three months after the rest of the scenes in these episodes, the result being that the Mt Currawong we're seeing is still meant to be in the Northern Territory as per the original plan for the shoot... evidenced by the itinerary Colby printed off, which showed Nik & Bella's route north via Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Katherine. I think with the circumstances we have to just let them have that one, the tropics were just have a cold snap ? Behind the scenes info/pics for these episodes for anyone interested - https://www.backtothebay.net/news/2020/08/20/behind-the-scenes-as-home-and-away-heads-to-the-blue-mountains/
  11. What I wondered when I first saw it was why there was suddenly a panic from Ryder about throwing his phone into the ocean... yet there was no panic in the previous ep after he'd been pushed off the pier (I don't believe for a minute that he wouldn't have had his phone on him at the time). I actually thought that would be where the drama came in, he came home soaking wet only to find his dad had died. He goes to watch the video on his phone, only to realise it had been damaged - cue tension between him and Nik/Bella over the prank. (I know some iPhones are waterproof to some degree, and Ryder's photos/vids are probably backed up, but that doesn't allow itself for drama ?) We did see Phil on-screen, and Maz explained what happened when she left him and returned to Summer Bay in 1995.
  12. @English Invader Not at Channel 5 pace they didn't ?
  13. I did find that funny. Also found it strangely satisfying that they acknowledged it was the first time Dean had set foot in that house (presuming it actually was and there wasn't a previous occasion that's been forgotten) - with John's first reaction being to warn Dean not to touch anything ?
  14. March 2005 in the UK were episodes that aired in Oz from the end of July 2004. The siege at Leah's when Noah died aired in the UK on 25th March (fun fact, that aired exactly 16 years ago today in Oz). The hidden cameras were installed into Irene's by Tasha's father, the millionaire Ian Osbourne. You're right in remembering the Silent Night performance (June 2005 in the UK), that was the 2004 season finale where Australian Idol star Paulini attended the opening of Noah's bar, and then went around to Summer Bay House for little Pippa's christening gathering. Off the top of my head, other storylines in those last couple of months of the 2004 season included the departures of Rhys, Max and Dani Sutherland, Alf reuniting with his first love Viv (who Dani had known as 'The Guv' in prison) and discovering that she'd given birth to his child (with Ric Dalby being his grandchild), Kane discovering he had testicular cancer, and Vinnie returning for VJ's birthday disguised in a bear costume.
  15. No they both came back to town in Tane's car - Tane dropped Nik off outside the bait shop before going around to the Morgan House to drop off Grace. There was no mention of what happened to Tori's car or whether it had been found. They're driving up to Cairns to see Coco and are flying to Italy from there. ?
  16. It was a grip exerciser ?
  17. Hello again Franco ? That one is 'Another Light' by Jude
  18. She wasn't cleared, she was found guilty of assaulting Tommy and received a good behaviour bond. Even if she had been cleared, she would have had to make an application to have them removed, it's not automatic.
  19. Constable Risotto Mk II I'd like to think her name is Angela. Certainly not the first time they're reused the name badges - we had a Constable P Corelli pop up in recent years too ?
  20. For anyone who wants to hear Evan's song for Ryder again, it's been released by Cameron Daddo as a single and on a new EP Links to stream/buy, and to watch the music video featuring Cameron and Lukas, are in the article below: https://www.backtothebay.net/news/2020/07/09/home-and-away-spoilers-evan-performs-an-emotional-song-for-ryder/
  21. Yes they were right in the thick of it in these eps. Although Kawa shared it more recently, when masks became even more topical, this pic was taken when they were filming for the ep airing tomorrow on C5. The scene in question:
  22. Those darn boxes....
  23. Yes it was to abseil down it was it not? I believe that was actually the first time the show had made the trek up there. Other than that the only times I can think of off the top of my head are when Indi and Romeo spent the night up there on the eve of his unexpected departure, and the climax of the Robbo/Ash chase in the opening week of 2018. Up until around seven years ago the access trail wasn't suitable for any sort of vehicle, so access for filming would have been tricky. I remember they were doing some renovation work on one of my visits and the building supplies were being ferried up by helicopter.
  24. Not off-topic at all ? Do you mean this one? It's actually supposed to be Roo, and it's one of Martha's. Roo brought it back with her after her first trip to see Martha in her hometown back in 2018. Not sure if it immediately made it onto the wall, but it's been there a fair while.
  25. It's the other way around, the door next to the kitchen that Mackenzie went out of is indeed the back door as @c120701 originally deduced ? Though it's H&A, so there'll always be occasions where characters do use the least logical exit to leave a house! I've looked through Friday's ep and I can't say that I've seen any continuity errors in regards to characters approaching one door on the exterior and entering the opposite door on the set though - it's all made sense to me so far. Nik didn't leave the house to check out the pool, he went out the front door to get his stuff from Marilyn's, Ari then left out the same door and we followed them out to the front. They did the same thing in reverse when Nik came back, and we didn't actually see Nik and Tane leave the house to go play footy, they were just there in the next scene after the Oz ad break. I think the main question that some will start to ask in coming weeks is "Where's Gemma's bedroom in this four bedroom house...?" ? Again an all too common occurence in the show! Yep he was there, remember he proposed to Martha at the vigil for Mason & Robbo on the beach.
