The thing is, it's close enough to the Caravan Park without actually being on the land.

The way I see it, the Maitre'D sussed Shane's character out from the get-go AND was a bit picky over the colour of Kevin's skin. Sam, while understandably angry/upset, needed a whupping. Don was letting him ride roughshod over him the whole week and the mess with Nick's gunbelt got up my nose a bit. I would have been to Don "I know he's going through a hard time but he touches my gunbelt again after specifically being told not to, there'll be all hell to pay". Fin is turning into a female Matt. I bet Tina Thomsen was probably fed up at this point and gave notice of quitting but the producers probably talked her into staying into early '94. Glad people bar Alf and Donny are treating Adam like a human being again, not a lump of smelly brown stuff they stepped in. Morag's smile at the end of 1330 while on the phone... The Joker would be proud!

Anything that represents gaming that us 90s kids grew up with and a shocked Morag is an instant win!

Ditto.

Donald Fisher - Norman Coburn

I can just see Palmer getting para over Don's presence and Jett being equally worried. -
The Ailsa v. Morag thing is has echoes of Sophie v. Tracy (The whole "Being in the right but not helping your case" thing).

They wrecked 2007 Don making him seem like a total out-of-touch loser, forced to become Sal's subordinate. -

The first time we saw Fisher act like a Dad to Bobby even before the reveal was when he tried to stop her bailing after Frank's accident. Surprisingly, I think Don and Maz were believable for the short time they were together. It just sucked as just when things settled down for them, it all went wrong (Naturally in soapland). He did save (or try to) Will from a kicking at the hands of Kane + friends and pretty much was crusading to help Alf during the tumour business. Seb (although a lot people didn't like him) gave Don a new leash of life to a degree. I reckon the character outline was in place from about '99 when Alan's book popped up again but wasn't fully realised until 2001. Back to the Piano stunt, That had to have been made of the CHEAPEST matchwood available as it pretty much shattered on impact! Don was rather prickly and probably thought a family of waifs and strays would "lower the tone" of the area, an attittude not unlike Mrs. Mangel on that other show on the other channel across the state line -
Cheers, you're a ledge. I KNEW it was Roxas, I just needed confirmation. They were pretty big 1989-94, Their song "Body Heat" was Todd and Cody's love theme on Neighbours.

Bad Boys, Bad Boys! Usually used in stingers involving Shane/Damo or even Tug. I wish I could find the artist for this one so much.

Caught right up to 1325 as of This morning. The Lighthouse stuff was a good representation of how well the early years did teen dares. Kind of sad for Sam but relieved Greg is finally gone. Alf was BANG out of order at the store. Fair enough, Adam caused your Niece's death, but it was an accident and it was a pretty effed up way to carry on. Also not really liking Sally's attitude. It's a pity neither Matt nor Maz are around anymore for him to at least be comforted by. Finally, the tiresome T-shirt business has been extinguished. It was really, really doing my head in.

Caught up to 1320. Tug, no sooner than rejoining Year 11, is acting like a complete prat. The Saltwater thing is something I remember instantly from the first go-around. I love how in the freeze frame Luke didn't look too convinced. Really felt sorry for Don but almost retracted it when he was lashing out to reinforce dominance. Am I wrong for joining "Team Adam". (granted he KILLED someone but it was a accident and no-one will be able to beat him up harder than he's doing to himself? Greg's the widower, yet he's not coming off very sympathetic to me. Good on Pip for finally coming around. Also, the Stick stunt and the impact was another memory jogger. If Greg was any kind of parent, he wouldn't have let Sam get away with that. Was kind of irked that Kevin was getting those racist taunts but people were still kind of ignorant in the 90s (still no excuse). T-shirt business is the only weak spot (BOOOOOOOOOOOOORING), just to a cheap plot device to facilitate a potential Shane/Angel/Damian triangle and Sally is back to being a spare part. I like how Morag is using reverse psychology against Don and Ailsa.

Fair enough. I was just blowing off some major steam due to being irked

Most time people drink Shakes and OJ and the odd Coke in that place!

Chris Harrington - Johnny Ruffo

Chris is a what they call "a loveable tool". -
Well, the last significant thing she was involved in this year was the whole vs. Karen thing but other than she's been a side person but not a space filler.

I think this is the first time St. Pippa's halo really slips.
-
^ I remember that, that was particularly jarring as a kid!

Well, from what I remember Kevin has a lot of interaction with Shane and there's to come. Maybe instead of the Musical eps (Which were brilliant, among this year's best) , Bobby's funeral could been submitted by Andrew Howie for the AFI award that year but I imagine they missed the cutoff.
-
That seems the most logical. Doubt either man could stand a mass outpouring of public sympathy (which they would see as pity)

Seen up to 1311. It's beginning to feel like either Greg, Tug or Pippa could kill Adam at any moment. I understand their rage but it was an accident. Tug's being a knob again over school, Sometimes if you ask a question tooo much, you may wind up with an answer you DON'T like. Sarah was unfair to put it all on Luke. Bobby's death or not, Tug ASKED for the result and got it. Morag's return is proving a good watch. Everyone sees some form of humanity but Ailsa, as ever, is like one of those drug dogs at the airport who sits when they detect a whiff of something (usually Dope or Blow). Watch the ride. Chuckled at Damo's Alf impression, I think he does a Better Don if I'm being honest. Don't mind Kevin, I mean Wes Patten wasn't Logie material but you could do a lot worst for a guest. Lenny, despite being played by a reasonably known Aboriginal actor, Michael Watson, seems a bit of a non-entity and more of an accessory to this story but has served his purpose.

Technically, Donald lost four children - Alan, Bobby, Oscar and Byron. In 1997, Marilyn suffered a miscarriage and they named their son, Oscar Why was that song played so much during this era. Also in Neighbours. The songs from 1984 "Soul Kind of Feeling" probably would have made the top 5 over here if released.
-
Sam even went onto go from calling Alf "Mr. Stewart" to "Uncle Alf" too (well, he was technically his great uncle).
-
It was made clear Bobby was 17 at the start, otherwise the Fletchers probably wouldn't have fostered her but had her as a tenant. Bobby's death did lose a bit of sting for me too, having seen it not so long ago. Floss and Neville would understandably be travelling, though they did manage to send Carly and Ben a telegram for their wedding. However, it's a tragedy the rest didn't show (Stevo, Carly, Roo, even Frank in spite of everything that happened)

And months of "Adam the town Pariah" will ensue... Which sucks because, he had known her for four years, a good two and half before Greg even showed up. There was even a little ship-tease between with the flowers he gave her early into his stint and offered her the chance to sail away to QLD with him (before plans changed, i.e. his yacht getting trashed).
