  1. No, Red, I perfectly remember 1992-98 Pippa. I'm one of a handful of people that does.
  2. She also got her claws into Stevo and lied her ass off about Don sexually harassing her.
  3. At least Ryan on this visit will be more fun to watch and a lot less plot-devicey. Yeah, Michael did have his "Fuhrer" moments...
  4. True. David did ask Soph if she was feeling "brave" when they were alone at Don's. I think we can all guess what happen next.
  5. Our main source for TEY has gone on holiday (he is entitled to) but we get 10 eps when he does return!
  6. IMO, The second outfit Soph wore that was terrible, even for 1992. Yes, the first glaringly pointed out her condition but at least it somewhat suited her. Outfit 2 was like she got dressed without hitting the light switch.
  7. That evil git as you called him was played by Miles, (Josh Quang Tart) as I wrote in my last post. So I was talking about 1992 It's more Bobby than Maz. Maz just suffers from foot-in-mouth disease. And the debut of Sophie's maternity school dress which wasn't bad considering, at least it's somewhat close to the school colours!
  8. True. Sam remained in the show over the span of a decade. He must have been taking boomerang lessons from Damian in 1995!
  9. Do Bobby and Greg make up before she dies? I liked Michael's chat with Sophie. His promise to step up and give her his full support from now on was heartfelt and very touching, and something that will continue to be focussed on, most notably when Michael helps Sophie give birth. Pippa wanting to keep Michael away from Sophie while she rests was reminiscent of her wanting to keep Sally away after she found out about David's death. In both cases she was wrong. It is also reminiscent of Pippa trying to keep Michael away from Sally after she returns from running away in 1995, which is a major factor in their marraige breakdown - that Pippa overrides all Michael's decisions in the family. The seeds of this are already starting to show. Julia/Meg/Blake storyline is going ahead nicely. Julia is asking a lot of Alf, getting him to tell Blake to stay away but without explaining to Blake the reasons why. It is little wonder Blake doesn't understand. I wouldn't. Julia comes across as very harsh and protective, but then there's always a heartbreaking reason behind it (like the conversation where she said Meg could never have a proper relationship because it wouldn't be fair on Blake). It's just a very sad situation all round. Thanks. Why does Greg abandon Sam? And did they ever see each other again? I seem to recall Greg coming back very briefly around 2000 or so?: Shortly after Bobby's death he takes off up North, and is not heard from for like 7 years. Comes back for three eps, Stuffs Sam around, leaves again after Sam decides to stay in the Bay instead of going with him.
  10. Personally, I see 1993 as the second time H&A hit the reset button, having done so three years earlier.
  11. Also, that 90s song that ends with the line "cha-cha-cha!" usually used in cliffhangers... I've been racking my brains for the last 20-odd years.
  12. IMO, I would more say Bobby's departure signals the end of The Early Years, but you know, each to his own.
  13. Well, Given Fin is in Sophie's age group, it's not entirely implausible.
  14. Ironically, Kylie Watson herself is a lesbian.
  15. Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of Greg but would have cheered him on if he beat the hell out of Frank at the house but that would probably would have made Greg look bad... Adam still has Maz to a degree.
  16. The 1999 stint was only short and Stevenson was willing to return but I guess he didn't fit in with the producers' plans.
  17. Actually, it was more a case of Emily throwing in the towel at that point.
  18. Is me or has Sasha's bum gotten bigger? I'm talking as in Thursday's ep (UK Channel 5 pace) the first new scene of the ep focused on her at rear angle on the bike while in the gym and it seemed to fill the screen pretty well!
  19. Only three regulars join that year (4 if you count Damo, who first appeared the prev year)
  20. Yep. This year will bring even MORE drama. A great year for Des Monaghan to sign off on before handing the reigns over to Andrew Howie
  21. ^Yep! The Birdie song by the Tweets played in 1990 during the chook silliness. Chicken mix, I believe. (The "check out the chicken" line was a dead giveaway! Nearly brokeup laughing when I saw it. They always had their "Vogue", "U can't touch this" and "Lambada" rips. But they were good rips!
  22. Alan's death mellowed him. He was still a hard-ass until about 1998 just not on the same levels as the beginning.
  23. I can just imagine Heath and Brax slinking away with their heads down after being admonished.
  24. I think a more realistic situation (cliched as hell though) would be Kyle slips while out on Jump Rock (purely a hypothetical location) and Casey is there to save/drop his arse (delete as applicable). With a good writer, a situation like that could really divide the audience A) "Kyle deserves it for leaving Case to die like a dog in the desert; drop him like a spoiled premier league player!" B) "Case will be no better than him; pull him to safety!"
  25. Is it wrong to want to see Kyle cop it sweet from Casey (I'm NO big fan of his by any stretch) sometime down the track?
