Alf said his first "Flamin' Galah!" of 2024! *adds that to the ticker* And Xander needs a headline act otherwise it'll be Palmer, A Paper and Comb!
-
Heh Heh Love turns people superhuman, I guess lol.
-
Despite not being the biggest Eden fan (Even she don't deserve what happened), I was yelling "Kick 'im! Kick 'im again!" when she fought back against Wes. Well, she had been through an ordeal and was probably malnourished on top of exhaustion.

Damn straight.
-
Remi should have sat bolt upright like WWE's Undertaker when he even stirred. They really would have s*** themselves!
-
Morag: That's quite enough out of you, you little insect! Bobby: *mockingl* I won't do it again, Mummy. Please don't spank me! *wiggles bum at her* Morag: You! *launches boot, lands on her own arse* (Thaty kind of thing?)_

He didn't come out unscathed either. Alf gave Tug a good bollocking for ruining his strides ("*Hot* Coffee! That's what I'm talkin' about!") Nick chewed him out but got roasted back ("That's Big from a bloke in a dress!") Fave part is where Bruce/Nick looks down at the skirt portion! Sarah kicked him to the kerb. Some would argue Tug got his and if it wasn't this, it was his life falling apart after Roy and his reappearance. Also one early years threat that often cracks me up: "You're Dog meat!"

There's a Mad Man who runs this school... There's no escape when he goes wild! (One of the Chorus numbers from the Musical Riff Raff arranged by the Summer Bzy cultural society, Fits Don to a tee) (It's an existing play would you believe)
-
I always theorise that Nick secretly took off with Beth who vanished roughly around that time. Tug would have been spewing if that were the case lol With Fin and Adam, they'd come to a natural end so lowkey was the thing, despite the former getting the Fletcher theme. Luke was like "Whatever" Sarah and Tug deserved better though (they got their happily ever after sometime later so that makes up for it)

I read Matthew Lilley left as his wife had recently given birth. They pretended Rob was still around for about 4yrs though.
-
No you didn't. Somebody referred to her as such when looking for her and nobody bothered to correct them. I think it was that gap after Frank and before Chris
-
The Hutton Sisters played her. As Red said, it's common practice to have multiple babies play an infant (Olivia and VJ for examples) Surnames were revealed later on.

Scott at least had ambition. Yeah he was a surfie/skaterboi (at least a good 15yrs before those terms were widely used) but his dream was to become a journo like his other Gran, Bess and he did it. Frank just seemed like Jack of all trades despite succeeding in business. Interestingly enough, Isla Fisher was born in Muscat.

The Diner was basically a hangout were teens kicked it but Ostensibly it was for EVERYONE. Once the kids buggered off back to school post-lunch, it was pretty much an Adult Zone until 3:30 when school let out. Do it! I can just a see a scene where Maz is off her face after unwittingly ingesting speed/e/x/whatever you find in granny's cupboard, Bobby and Adam get suspicious (Maz is a lightweight but drugs on top drink would get her blitzered quicker and acting even ditzier), Nick realises even on his night off he's gotta do some detective work. My own ideas have yet to make it to paper (they include: certain modern characters NOT dying, a couple who were friends but go further than that with two other people in their clique now gone, a vengeful daughter, couple old faces settling back in the bay for goood, metafictional characterisations of people you may know ,oh and a long grudge that was never properly settled despite dredging the ocean for one half the participants)

Super Troopers. Hilarious.

They probably got fed up of waiting for Lewis to age so in steps Brendan who's good few years older and would be more believable as a "Satan Spawn".
-
Duncan was forcibly aged up from 9 to 12 in 1998 when he got out of hospital following his accident and didn't make the opening credits until 1999.
-
With the diner thing, As I said before Bobby needed direction post-High school and while she probably *did* have the grades for Uni, it wasn't her scene. With Sam's introduction it was no secret they needed a kid character to pass the stick to as Sal was going through a transitional period (Year 6, Puberty, Bras and the like)

He was popular with female fans and generally liked on set by most accounts but when the surf called age 17 in 2000, off he went to be a lifeguard however did a looong farewell guest stint.
-
Ze Writing Team lol. At least with Nana Moon on Enders, they explained it away with Water on the Brain!
-
Hollyoaks has always had a target audience and they modelled themselves on Australia's two biggest soaps when they started.
-
I always thought she would have been perfect in Neighbours as Bridget and Riley's bio-mum, Joanne Hale. You know when you think of a character and you've mentally cast the character
-
Maybe it's me placing him on an equal footing with Don Battye on Neighbours around that time period, who actually was Reg Watson's direct successor..
-
Howie took the stick from Monaghan in '93, who took it from Holmes in '88.

The Coma thing can only go so far. Did it with Emily in Brookside but they probably decided to kill her off when Jennifer Ellison made it clear she wanted out. She was languishing for months. Dieter had really had enough and felt he had outgrown Shane and He and Melissa had pretty much had enough of one another. Sometimes it's better to burn out than fade away.
