  1. I don’t like Belle, I don’t respect her, so I don’t have any sympathy for her. I can’t see that changing in a hurry. When she curled up on her bed, I felt quite detached and thought “oh well, she’ll get over it”.
  2. Reached 35oC today, still 28oC. Aircon is getting a real workout today after months of being idle!
  3. Glorious spring weather I've been out smelling the flowers.
  4. I really like Morag. She has many admirable qualities. She’s so direct, upfront, quick witted, sharp tongued, outspoken, intelligent....I could go on. In the early days she did lack compassion on a personal level and on occasion did act like a prize bitch. I ignored that though as she had many other redeeming attributes. Like most, Morag has mellowed with age, although I still wouldn’t try to cross her. It was a shame that the good times with Ross didn’t last a bit longer as its an area of her life she doesn’t seem to have had a lot of success with. To her credit she has stuck by him. Perhaps one day she’ll welcome her sister Colleen with open arms. Living in the Bay permanently would be too much of a good thing for Morag. I like her coming and going. Just so long as she comes back. My favourite scenes with Morag are those involving her in her legal role. Cornelia should be awarded an honorary LLB.
  5. I love Colleen. I have warmed to her ingenuous manner. She cracks me up when she works herself up and starts bouncing around with her arms flailing going oh, oh, oh. She hasn’t got a nasty bone in body. Sure, she’s a bit of a gossip, but at least she’s upfront about it. I wish she was my Auntie Colleen.
  6. Warming up nicely. T-shirt weather. We had the aircon on today!
  7. There is very little I respect in Aden and Belle’s relationship. In the beginning, they despised each other and treated each other in a very disrespectful manner. It may well have been part of Belle’s schoolgirl fantasies to have a known thug come through her bedroom window and engage in supposedly meaningful pillow talk but its not something I can respect. Then followed some fairly heavy scenes and I accept they formed a connection. From what I could see, that connection had overtones of trauma bonding rather than any deep spiritual bonding. Certainly, not something I’d wish for. And now, the foundations of their renewed relationship have their roots in lying and deception. Again, nothing I can respect. Having said that, even though I don’t like either character, I’m glad they are together as it keeps them out of the heads and hearts of the other residents in the Bay.
  8. Burn after Reading with George Clooney, Brad Pitt and others including Tilda Swinton (Julia Gillard look alike, its uncanny) Lots of laughs... and I’ve picked up a few lines to use in the workplace.
  9. I disagree. Belle actions were expedient and with a little thought and imagination she could have achieved the same ends regarding the toxic waste dump, but in a more honourable manner.
  10. Although I used to like her, now I can’t stand Belle. I lost all personal respect for her when she started lying, cheating and using. I thought I may still have some “professional” respect for her in her quasi-journalist/ detective role. But no, I felt the ends didn’t justify the means. She just leaves me cold.
  11. Grey and wet...and its been raining! I got 18mm in my rain guage.
