Do I assume that Frank didn't return for the 30th anniversary?

"What I have noticed is how different Nicolle sounds in more recent interviews compared to Bobby. Her voice is far huskier and her accent even sounds very different" Interesting, I haven't seen any recent interviews however, I want to say 2006/2007 when she was interviewed about Bobby/Frank, her voice sounded much softer like it did during the episodes when Frank returned.

Thank you for reading. I hope you are still enjoying. I am trying to keep the characters as true to the show as possible, in terms of language and behaviour, except for Matt. I am hoping to keep the story going until present day , not necessarily every day until now but for the most part. I will touch on some of the storylines that happened to the main characters here, I will use them as a template but put my spin on them. I've changed the direction a bit since I started chapter one some of the characters were last minute additions but I think they are working well. The middle names of Tom and Frank, I found on Wiki, not sure how accurate or if they were mentioned on the show While doing research and watching some scenes closer for the flashbacks, in my opinion Alex dated Justine and Nicolle at different times. There is a photo of Justine sitting on Alex' lap during a party for the premiere. I could be wrong and I probably am but there is a different type of chemistry between Actors on set when they are romantically involved off set. Alex appears to be guarded about his private life, he once said the back and forth between the Home and Away set and thh other show he was hosting ruined relationships but Nicolle can't hide, her eyes give her away.

Thanks for reading I hope I didn't offend anybody with the Danny part. I'm not trying to be insensitive to mental health this is just how I imagined someone being frustrated about hearing voices. My intent is not to offend anybody.

Someone mentioned in another thread that a storyline for the anniversary would be for Frank to return and us finding out what really happened to cause the breakdown of his marriage to Roo. According to Frank, he said they were unhappy but he didn't go into details. Maybe Roo had an affair or an abortion? We all know that Frank pretty much turned into Brett Macklin ? but it would be interesting to know if the tables turned and Roo became the jealous and insecure one.

I mentioned it in the other thread but did anybody else notice that Nicolle's voice changed? In 1992 her voice was softer, pretty much like how she speaks in real life however in 1992 it was far far different.

He had a habit of tapping his finger and pouting/pursing his lips when he was getting served.

This is where creative writing comes into the mix. Andrew was her first real 'grown up" relationship I assumed the aftermath of the break up would've lingered in.

It's interesting that everybody moves on so quickly when they break up. With the exception of Bobby, I think that aspect of the show made it somewhat unrealistic.

Shame. I think Matt really did like Carly with all her faults. I think she was always look for something better than Matt but he was always the default guy she went back to because he cared about her so much and she knew it. I'm surprised the writers didn't pair Carly and Brett together, that is the type of guy she wanted. Thank you for the examples. I think the type of character Carly has, she needed a guy to "dominate" her that is why she was able to treat Matt badly because he wasn't that guy. In some way, it also feels like Carly "settled" Was Carly upset when Mr Foley stated dating Stacey Macklin?

Allison had some great moments in Home and Away ?? I agree, she should've been a regular. Would love to see her back at some point.

I really enjoyed Nev and Floss, it's a shame the programming took a different direction and excluded them. Floss really cared about the Fletcher family and had a beautiful relationship with each of them.

I don't think I Can ever be convinced that Frank stopped loving loving Bobby and I don't believe she stopped loving him either. Would've been interesting to see how the dynamics were in Frank and Roo's marriage, was Roo insecure about Bobby the way Bobby still felt insecure about Roo when Frank returned? I just wish the producers gave these two a second and happy chance.

I can respect that Nicolle wanted to leave and be "normal" again for a while and with her popularity, I'm sure the producers would've been ok with her being written out to return. However I have said many times that I feel this was definitely a case of life imitating art. I don't think I Can ever be convinced that Bobby stopped loving Frank and I don't believe he stopped loving her either.

Do you have examples of this? In a way, maybe that is what her character needed. Look at her relationship with Gary Samuels. I agree with @KKB I was hoping to hear that Carly ended up with Matt. How did they end? She should have never been given that happy ever after story I was thinking this the other day, If anything, I expected her character to be killed off or at the very least, left Summer Bay in shame after another selfish act backfired and left her in a mess. Sharyn Hodgson is a really good actress, she really captured all the emotions of Carly. I wouldn't have minded Carly having a happy ever after but years down the road, not so soon, it stunted her character. Like you said maybe Sharyn wanted to leave.
