Isla Fisher, Melissa George, Ryan Kwanten...just a few names that would probably be more sought-after than Emily. Are you sure you haven't just chosen those people because they're Hollywood stars now though? If they hadn't made it big, I doubt they'd be remembered any more fondly than Marilyn. And Ryan Kwanten, are you serious? Vinnie's in nowhere near the same league as Marilyn. He wasn't even there during the show's Golden Era. What do you mean? The whole point of my post was to say that we should be happy she's back. :???: Sorry Edward i was surpose to Qoute someone else but Qoute you by mistake.

But she did return and let's be happy she's back.

I wouldn't say that Kirsty brought him down, per se. It's more that Miles works best as an eccentric character, and characters like that tend to lose their eccentricity when they enter a relationship with anyone. So writers, please keep Miles single. Either that or bring in a somewhat eccentric female character to pair up with him, like how they brought in Leah to pair up with Vinnie or Robbie to pair up with Tasha (Marilyn and Miles anyone? How old is Maz anyway?). I do think the writing of the Kirsty and Miles relationship was quite bad, and that's coming from someone who loves both characters and liked their relationship. Their relationship was actually quite popular to start with when they were just getting together and they had scenes like Miles walking in on Kirsty in her underwear and then being unable to stop picturing her like that . But yes, after that they did tend to get bogged down in non stop arguments, which didn't do either character any favours. I know what they were going for, with the "couple who love each other, but are at different points in their lives and can't get on the same page about their future", and it could have worked really well. However, they just weren't given enough scenes that showed they actually did love each other or scenes of them being cute and funny together. I do remember a really good scene where there making fun of Romeo and Jai for writing poetry to Annie, and there should have been much more of stuff like that. I think there was a few people who automatically disliked the fact that Miles was living with Kane's wife and son but aside from that...I agree that Miles and Kirsty's relationship could have been written a lot better and the way it went probably turned a lot of people who were on the fence against them. They had a few cute and funny bits, the scene you mentioned about them making fun of Romeo and Jai, the episode where she went out and bought a fish for him and the boys so they could try and fool Alf, the stuff with the "adult" mag, even some of the stuff near the end when they were looking after Harry, but they seemed to be buried under a lot of petty arguments which caused a lot of viewers to get fed up of them.I'd like to think the writers have learned their lesson and if she was still on the show they'd be writing them better but Tony and Rachel still seem to get too many scenes like that so they probably wouldn't. Miles and Marilyn? My first instinct is to say "No way" but then I'd have said that about Miles and Kirsty to start with.Marilyn's in her early 40s so bit of an age gap there.(If you think Sally being 21 when Kirsty was about 13 underlined the age gap between her and Miles...when Marilyn was in her early 20s, Sally was about nine.) Marilyn said she was 30 when she maried Donald and was in 1996 so Marilyn must been 44 then but they might of forgotton this and change her age.

Elijah is good for Leah and I hope he stays a while. I don't want them to rush into getting together or getting married as Leah already been married twice. If they do get married I want it to be by at least the end of next year at the latest. I want Leah to stay on for many more years as she is one of my favorite characters. But I however don't want her to get married three or four more times so I am hoping that Elijah stays a while.

I agree that Colleen can be nasty at times. But how is Irene ever nasty? She's only ever nasty if someone has hurt one of her kids. Excuse me, did I use the word nasty even once in my post? No I did not. I never called anyone nasty. If you use your eyes and read what I wrote, you will see that I said Gina brings a calm presence to the show, which Irene and Colleen do not. Colleen is a comedy character, and Irene is bubbly and friendly, but can get stressed easily and worries a lot. Gina is different, she is serene and approaches things very maturely and calmly. Oh sorry I misread it.

Has Nutter storyline ending yet and if so who was Nutter?.
-
I think Irene's last storyline was very good in the way of seeing how good an actress Lynne is. Her getting together with Lou was rushed but however it had to be cut short because Lynne didn't have eough time to finish her scenes as she was due in Uk before she had wrapped all her scenes and so she went on her holiday earlier than planned. So they just left her not so important scenes cut and then they brought back Pippa to do her important scenes like helping Belle through rehab. That was the problem with Pippa's return. They brought her back to replace Irene. Pippa wasn't there of her own accord and wasn't doing her own thing. She was simply doing everything Irene would have done if she was there. That shows how much Irene doesn't get her own storylines and normally involves herself in other people storylines with kids she has under her wing or giving advice to people in Dinner. I think I prefer Irene in that way just taking kids under her wing and running the Diner. Being there when other characters need advice .

Its still same church isn't it?

I don't think Martha was selfish when she first came to the Bay. She went selfish after she broke up with Jack and became a pole dancer.

Glad Floss didn't sell the van. Can someone tell me if Floss still lives in the van?
-
I disagree because I know I am not the biggest fan of the couple but I do like how they have a strong, solid, mainstay couple like Tony and Rachel. It brings a lot to a show that has people coming and going all the time.
-
Have to say i rather like her.

Angelo and Charlie are my favourite couple. But I think I prefer if Charlie stays living at Leahs for the time being as I like the set up they have with Leah, VJ and Charlie. But I dont know what would be wrong if Charlie moves in with Angelo. I'am sure Ruby would been more than welcome to move in with them. Leah and Irene will always have room for Ruby. So Ruby has got lots of places where she can live. I would like it if Ruby moves back in and Angelo moves in with Leah and Charlie. It would be an interesting household with Leah, Charlie,Angleo, Ruby,VJ.

The 'official' dates given by Seven back in the day were: Alf - 1946 Morag - 1948 Barbara - 1952 Celia - 1955 Debra - 1960 So your telling me that Celia was only supposed to be 33 in 1988. And if that's right then that means Irene is older than her.
-
In the 21st anniversary book it says Morag is the 2nd oldest.
-
History lesson: Colleen was born in 1939 but the actress is born in 1936. Alf was born in 1945. Morag born in 1946. Celia is born 1947. Debra? Barbara? Not sure, but I'd say Barbara is a bit older because she was married to Donald and he is nearly as old as Colleen.

I know Aden is a jerk, but that is his worst side, and my point is that all this Nicole stuff is bringing it out in him. Well, ok, technically his homicidal side is his worst side, and only his father brings that out, but even that would be more interesting to watch than him being a knob to Liam, and all over NICOLE! She isn't worth either of their time! What I mean by Nicole going to be with Roman is I want her to leave Summer Bay, leave the show, and never come back. I don't really care exactly where she goes, I just want her gone because I cannot stand her. I'll just console myself with the thought that the actress' initial contract will come to an end next year, and hopefully she won't choose to renew it. Dont worry I read somewhere that Tessa was doing movies so there's a very good chance she wont renew it.
-
After watching the Early Years it makes me realise how greatful I am that Alf is still around. I was watching 1988 episodes. Back in year 1988 if If I was to guess one character that would still be there in 22 years it would have been Alf.

I always find it hard to imagine Debra doing Vanessa's storylines and then the same with Debra's storylines. I find it hard to imagine Vanessa doing Debra's storylines when they are supposed to be the same character. The problem was Vanessa and Debra had different views on how Pippa should be.
-
Today's episode reminded me how much I love Alf and how the show can never lose him.
-
I think Colleen Smart does.
