  1. Lynne has been nominated for not one but two Logie Awards this year as she gets ready to leave the Bay.. - Silver for the Best Lead Actress in a Drama And the coveted Gold ! Remember to vote if you want her to take them out and congratulate her on her time in the Bay.
  2. I really enjoyed the character of Mav and wanted him to stay longer and have a much longer character arc. I would have liked him to stay a few years.
  3. In Perth's 'Sunday Times Magazine' is a three page feature on Isla Fisher. Quite a read.
  4. Edward was definitely an interesting character, that's for sure. I always loved when 'Home and Away' didn't follow the biscuit cutter mould.
  5. I think the change in Producer has a fair bit to do with our loss of any throwback characters and such. Lucy Addario has no interest or intention to bring back oldschool Summer Bay, whereas Bevan Lee was a master at it and Coral Drouyn at least showed some respect to it.
  6. I had also heard that @Cymbaline - The quote about 'Not letting the bastards go' and it has stuck in my memory bank. I also remember what Ben Mendelssohn said as well about Ray having the best job. Both of them are very noteworthy and valuable contributions to Summer Bay folklore.

  8. That was last July. He (Ray) will be 81 this coming year.
  9. I was definitely a Jesse (and Ben Urwin) fan and they definitely treated Ben shabbily in his second stint - That's for sure.

  11. Love Archie Roach's 'There is a Garden' which was also used when Pippa was in hospital following her altercation with Shannon's Kye. Also the impact of all of Mike Perjanik's underscores has to be celebrated and acknowledged. 'Home and Away' would not be 'Home and Away' without them.
  12. I haven't watched 'Home and Away' for eight years now and I really miss the 'old school classic story lines of yesteryear. I don't think it right how they have sidelined the older characters and hardly give them meaningful story arcs at all.
  13. What the .. ? I can hardly believe that. Cheers for letting me know. And Congrats to Emily Symons.
  14. Carly and Matt!! I loved these two - Both the actors and the characters!!
  15. Happy 3 Years, Summer Bay. Congratulations on committing to this story and taking us on this journey with you. As someone who watched the show from the very beginning, I enjoy following the antics of the early year characters very much.
  16. Things are looking up for Frank and Bobby again, which is wonderful to see!
  17. Loving this, Summer's Bay.
  18. I am disappointed to find it has finished, Red. Any chance of a sequel featuring the same characters?
  19. I am really enjoying this story, @redranger. As always, you capture the essence of the characters really well and it makes such a difference to the flow and the quality of the story.
  20. I didn't know about Bobby's death until it happened on screen. And as a youngster at the time, it was a real shock and had a massive impact on me at the time as she was a favourite of mine.
  21. I am really enjoying this! Love seeing the old characters again and you write really well too.
  22. I hope Nick and Julie get their acts together soonly.
  23. I definitely don't think that they needed to break him and June up. The producers could have had them still together and had Don still offer Marilyn emotional support with her treatment over the phone or via letters and email.
  24. I thought the way he returned, saying he had broken up with June was pretty crappy too.
