I'm glad Rose finished with Mali. I think she deserves better and they're not right for each other anyway. Don't blame Mackenzie for kicking Iluka out. When Mali confronted Mackenzie about it, his sister obviously tried to make out Mackenzie was being reasonable because she wanted Iluka to go with her. Just a shame Mali can't leave town permanently. I actually agreed with John re Tane and also about the program and wasn't sure he should have backtracked. Even Harper think's Dana is crazy now. My stance on Irene has gone to hoping she doesn't get ripped off to not caring if she does, but after yesterday's episode I think she kind of deserves it now. Judging by how Harper closed her eyes, she obviously enjoyed Tane hugging her. Let's be honest, if she really wanted to stay way from him, I'm sure she could have suggested alternative people who could help out. I quite liked how that guy tried to hit on Kirby, moved onto Felicity and spent the rest of the episode trying to woo her.

Wed I wasn't happy Leah decided to put up half the money for an investigation given that Irene was the one in the wrong but at least they cleared the air and established the root cause of the issue. Still agree with Leah putting her foot down. I'm not keen on Kirby but at least she's making an effort. Props to Eden as well for agreeing to work at Salt, even saying it's not Mackenzie's fault for falling in love with Levi (wow) The stabbing looking more like an excuse for Levi/Mackenzie to be fully accepted. Remi comes across as a bit of a bludger. Feel a bit sorry for Harper but part of me thinks she should have known better. She's going to stay away from Tane, where have I heard that before? Ah yeah, when he first stuck his tongue down her throat. Thu I have to give credit where it's due. Bronte is doing a really good job convincing everybody. Admittedly she's getting help as far as Irene is concerned but Felicity has been fully sold. Bronte is presumably going to be found out but I am continuing to enjoy how it's making Dana look bad to other people and she continues to be frustrated that nobody will listen to her. I thought there was progress with Irene and Leah but she's gone back to being stupid again, deceiving Leah so I think Irene deserves everything she gets now. I find Mali very frustrating as a character and I'm not keen on this storyline at all. He's now got Theo involved in trying to cover things up and hasn't factored in how it would affect Theo if his brother's condition worsens. He's actually shown himself to be quite selfish and again, I really hope Mackenzie asks him to leave after all of this is over. Can't quite figure out that Nat getting Iluka done over like that was because of the money, the fact he had the gall to even do it or because she can't handle the fact he rejected her. Fri Continuing to enjoy Bronte's handiwork. I loved that she caused an argument with Dana and Xander and even Dana's efforts to convince Marilyn have fallen on deaf ears. Best part is whenever it's just her and Dana and she still continues the act. Almost like she's preempting Dana recording her. Dana's not going to back down now because she sees this effectively as a contest and doesn't want Bronte to win, so it will be interesting to see how Bronte handles Dana going forwards. I was willing for Bree to bump into Rose in that episode so she could tell her about Iluka but luckily Mali's sister went one better and the cops were able to apprehend Mali and the Allens. Now that Rose has seen what Mali is involved in hopefully she will wake up. Have to say Nat was coming across as pretty messed up. When Mali was fighting one of the Allens, she was quite prepared to have him stabbed as well when she went to pass the knife across. I actually thought Iluka came across far better than Mali. I don't think he's necessarily a bad person but made a huge mistake and at least he was genuinely concerned and remorseful about what happened to Levi.

It does very much come across as though Tane used Harper and I do take onboard her point re them sleeping together meaning nothing to him, considering like he's acting as though it didn't happen. I can kind of see where John is coming from being against Tane's proposal. I'm glad Mackenzie told Rose the whole truth. I have to admit, I not entirely convinced that the writers are trying to get the viewers to feel sympathetic towards Mackenzie and Levi but it does seem as though the storyline is winning Eden round (I raised an eyebrow when she said she could see Mac loved Levi) which given she's the main reason why some of the other people weren't fully accepting of them previously (Cash, Felicity, Remi etc) does seem as though they will be fully accepted.

Well Harper's got it for Tane bad. I suspect she's going to have to tell him how she feels at some point as she won't be able to contain it forever. I did actually quite like Nat although I'm not keen on the two Allen guys. I thought they were all pretty stupid though. If Levi wasn't a doctor, they would be on murder charges and they still might be! Wouldn't go as far as saying I feel sorry for Levi and Mackenzie but I did get her frustration towards Mali. I'm actually pretty fed up with him and feel he had no right to ask Mackenzie to play down the role of the Allens. This storyline reminded me a bit of when Tane got stabbed and Dean didn't want to go to the police to save Mackenzie. Given Mali's tendency to not want to cooperate with the cops, hopefully Mackenzie will give him his marching orders after this. I'm finding Dana pretty unbearable. She's kind of ruining most of the episodes she's in for me. Almost everything about her annoys me. Her mannerisms, the way she talks, the intensity in her eyes when she often engages with people and wants them to do as she says. Even today when she was trying warn Irene again, she came across as quite intimidating. So, there was no way she's was going to talk Irene around with that approach, although Irene's so far gone, I don't think she will listen to anybody at this point. I actually found Irene just as annoying as Dana in that episode. I'm almost never on Leah's side when she's arguing with people, but I was fully behind her and agreed with everything she's said. Irene's been so dumb and the general way she's disregarded people who are close to her all in favour of a women she's known for less than three weeks speaks volumes. I actually don't care if she gets ripped off now.

Cash annoyed me when he was talking to Eden as given Eden's over the top reaction, I don't think Felicity made that much of a mistake to end a friendship over, given that she runs a business with Mackenzie. The cynic in me was of the believe Eden threatening to leave the Bay was just attention seeking and it worked. Remi, Cash, Felicity all running after her. Felicity brought up the point about Mackenzie and Levi being good together. I did say before that it didn't ring true but now it's happened a second time and thinking about it again, it's more consistent. Felicity obviously didn't care about the affair. Her beef was that she didn't like Mackenzie's supposed hypocrisy, so now that they've made up she's happy to support her as a friend again. I've got mixed feelings about the storyline with Bronte. I don't want Irene to get ripped off but I'm kind of enjoying the way it's making Dana look bad with most of the main people doubting her Xander, Irene and John. They're basically making points about her character that I tend to agree with anyway. It's just that Dana is correct about Bronte. I will say with Xander, I did raise an eyebrow when he said he liked Bronte. I'm assuming he wouldn't be so sympathetic if she was physically unattractive. With Dana's confrontation with Irene, I thought she handled the whole thing really badly. It wasn't so much what she said but the delivery. And her remark about taking Bronte in, ignoring the fact that she would likely be dead if Irene hadn't done the same thing to her, from Irene's perspective makes Dana come across as ungrateful, irrespective whether she is in the right. I was a little surprised at John, but I'm not complaining. The downside is that Dana is presumably going to be vindicated and there's going to be some serious groveling towards her. I'm guessing RR, you're not looking forward to the return of the 'Demigod'.

I find it funny Remi struggling at the gym with Theo last week, because looking at his physique, the actor obviously works out. I agree that having Felicity concerned about Mackenzie and Levi didn't ring true but boy did I love how the fact Mackenzie and Felicity are now getting on is winding Eden up to the point where she immaturely decided to terminate her friendship with her supposed best mate. This isn't even about Felicity or Mackenzie or Levi or even Imogen. This is purely about the fact Eden hasn't gotten over her father cheating on her mum and she feels all alone. I do think she and Felicity will be OK though. Felicity cut her off when Eden first slept with Cash and forgave her. So I'm sure Eden will do the same, once she's grown up. I am finding the storyline with Bronte slightly amusing. It's interesting see her trying to lie her way out of trouble every time she's backed into a corner when someone asks her a question she wasn't expecting. I know Dana's right about her but the point I keep making about the lack of sympathy I feel is a valid one. Just looking at her interactions with Bronte she didn't seem compassionate at all when she was getting to know her. It was very much like an inquisition. Even Harper was sympathetic when she interacted with Bronte initially. Have to be honest and say I wouldn't want to eat at the Diner after that incident even if everything was confirmed as being OK but Bronte saying she got poisoned as well. Wow. Would Irene really not question anything Bronte has done so far?

John only has himself to blame for being sick and he's responsible for any other person who gets seriously ill as well. I thought it was pretty bold of Bree to immediately suggest quarantining John and Dana and any others who had been infected. Given how many people have been sick already, this virus appears to be reasonably transmissible. This is certainly the case when you consider the fact Marilyn wasn't near the container with the soil and she's been sick already. I agree there has been inconsistency with regards to quarantining people. Levi and Xander both should definitely be quarantined. Realistically though, in order to be effective, the whole town, would need to be put on lockdown, but I'm not sure if they would have the resources to even do this. I know when Anne poisoned those people, they were able to deal with it but that was different. This would also be problematic for any tourist that might get infected, be asymptomatic and have left the bay already. Presumably this storyline is partially motivated by Covid. I also agree that it was good to see Harper talk to people not tied to Tane or even Irene.

I do actually agree with the thoughtlessness point, which is why when this was brought up last week, I mentioned that Dana was not nice as opposed to being outright unpleasant. If you refer to how she pressurised Irene when Harper's lawyer advised Harper to move out, how she confronted Rose re pressing charges about Harper when she located Tane, I remember how focused and intense she was. It was almost like, she wasn't asking them she was telling them in both cases. Even when she manipulated Banjo, she wasn't particularly good at even pretending to be interested in dating him. I accept in all those instances, she was looking out for someone else, however there genuinely seems to be a disconnect, not considering how what she is doing affects the other party. One of the frustrating things for me is that she very rarely gets called out. I mean she should have at least faced disciplinary action for what happened with Tane. Thursday I don't actively dislike Levi or Mackenzie as individuals or think they are bad people (I thought Levi displayed traits of the arrogant surgeon initially and I've mentioned before Mackenzie did look down on people in the past). Although, I do admit I'm not as annoyed with them as I have been with other characters that have done something similar before (When Ari and Mia got together I was very displeased, and they didn't strictly 'cheat' but I guess I found both characters more objectionable). It's hard to disagree with people that are coming down hard on them but as I mentioned before if Levi is to be integrated into the show then the couple can't come under scrutiny forever by other Summer Bay characters. In saying that I really disliked a lot of Thursday's episode. It seemed to be attempting to portray Mackenzie and Levi's date as a new couple, with Xander in support as being special. Whilst I think there shouldn't be a witch hunt, I'm really not keen on them being openly endorsed. I wasn't happy at all during their romantic meal but when Imogen's texts came though "Congratulations on your new unit" and "At least one of us is moving on", my eyes lit up. I hate the way she's been dismissed (Levi literally rocks up and tells her that he's met someone else and leaving her) and whilst it was covered initially, there's been more focus on how it's hurt Eden than how Imogen's been struggling, so when she sent all his things with the torn up marriage certificate and the rings with a note for Mackenzie, I was practically cheering. My biggest regret was that she wasn't there somehow to deliver the news in person. You go girl! Friday Oh, man. Mackenzie's reaction is wonderful. I love how Levi's acknowledged Imogen is acting out of character. Given how it's gotten to both of them, I would say Imogen has played a master stroke. Whilst I'm happy Imogen is getting a small amount of payback, once again, not happy about the manner in which Eden gave Imogen Levi's address. Eden has mentioned multiple times she has Imogen's back, yet Imogen called Eden in a drunken state and Eden told her where Levi was, knowing it was likely Imogen would have done something. You would think if she's really looking out for Imogen, the best option might to talk to her and try and get her to sleep on things but because of her own Daddy issues, which Levi supported and continued, she also wanted him to have some payback. Dana is very impulsive, often comes across as immature and I agree at times doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the box, so I wonder how long Xander's prepared to put of for that. However, John didn't come across too well either. I appreciate the scenes with him and Dana reacting to the stuff turning up on the beach are light hearted but he was right that they should wait for the authorities to open the containers to see whatever is inside, so it was disappointing he is going do it himself although with Dana it's not surprising.

I didn't say Dana was nasty, but that she's not a nice person. I find her selfish and self-centered and you don't necessarily need to be nasty, to be someone who isn't nice. As I've said multiple times, I feel she often lacks empathy and despite being a nurse, I'm struggling to think of an instance where I've seen her show genuine compassion or even understanding towards someone. It's now starting to feel like the whole thing with Stevie filming at Summer Bay was a plot device to facilitate a Remi/Bree reunion. Just wish they hadn't killed her off. I always thought Remi and Bree were in love with each other when they broke up but there are still issues such as Remi unwilling to give up his bike. I know Nelson also had a bike but assume Bree will still have an issue with Remi because he was hospitalised. I'm also assuming that the time Remi requested so he doesn't mess the relationship up will be all of two weeks.

The point about Harper sleeping with Tane given the support she provided Felicity during the rape is one I was concerned about a while back after Harper told Tane she didn't want him to be her PT anymore then changed her mind because she didn't have any friends, as I thought at the time it was indicative that she liked him and was maybe she was biding her time. This is also supported by the fact Felicity was suspicious of her initially and Harper assured her nothing was going on and it felt to me that Felicity was made to feel jealous and paranoid. Harper was telling the truth that there wasn't anything happening, but I suspect Felicity knew that Harper liked him. And it's going to seem that all the effort Harper made to try and help Tane was also a way to spend time with him. There's also the fact that I believe Harper knows Felicity is still in love with Tane. She must do. Surely anybody that's spent enough time with Felicity to see how she's gone out of her way to help Tane would realise this. Although, to be fair to Harper, she didn't actually try to initiate anything previously, but I think she and Tane slept together because they just assumed he was going to jail, so both of them thought they might as well give into their feelings. I think with Harper, she very much comes across as a goody two shoes but has made some serious mistakes, getting Cash and Irene involved when Madden was after Dana which led to serious repercussions for them. And again lying about Tane in court. It will be interesting to see how Cash actually reacts to this. He didn't seem to care about the randoms Tane was sleeping with but maybe this will be different given Harper is a friend of his. Dana was so annoying. She basically spent the whole of Monday's episode celebrating what happened between Harper and Tane but she seemed to acknowledge Felicity wouldn't be happy about it, even joking. Once again this reaffirms to me that she's not a nice person. Not keen on Mali's brother. The fact that he broke the door lock to let himself into Mackenzie's and the way he comes across just bothers me.

I've been finding it hard to keep up with the episode because of work, Wimbledon, football, Love Island etc but hopefully that will calm down now. Levi - I don't like what Levi and Mackenzie have done at all but I was finding Eden so unbearable that I started to side with Levi whenever the two of them interacted (I have to admit I found Marilyn's facial expression of discomfort when she was serving Levi and Eden was having a go at him quite amusing). I don't condone or like the affair but if Levi is going to reside at the bay as Cash said, Eden couldn't carry on being annoyed with him forever. So, I'm glad she agreed to try and be civil. I actually quite like the scenes with Bree and Levi. Again if he is going to be integrated into the show it would make sense for him to actually have social interactions outside of Mackenzie and *cough cough* Mali and I think Levi/Bree work really well as colleagues/friends. Stevie - I felt sorry for Stevie re Remi. I initially thought Remi was a bit harsh when he dumped her but at least he was honest with her. I was surprised Stevie was shot when she was filming but shocked she didn't make it. Didn't think the writers would do that. It was kind of disappointing as whilst I accepted she wasn't going to be a permanent character I was hoping she would be around for a little while longer and I found her to be quite likeable. I've found the general mood of the Bay quite sad but like other people still feel it's a waste. Alf - He seems to have had a bit of a personality transplant and I've actually quite liked him as of late. He's not been the miserable, grumpy person who constantly bites people's heads off. I really enjoyed the interaction with him and Stevie when they first started talking. I guess it proves some people can be closed off but when you connect with them on something, they open up, in this case fishing. Really liked him how he handled Nelson and all the people at the Surf Club when they took cover from Stevie's assassin and the obnoxious guy who didn't didn't seem to care that Stevie was fighting for her life. I also liked how he was with Mali, respecting his culture and Mali not wanting to participate in relocating the memorial. Alf's certainly been a lot calmer, patient and understanding. Felicity - I was practically cheering when Xander called Felicity out for potentially jeopardising the business because she wanted to be a mate to Eden can't get over Mackenzie's calling her out about the pregnancy re Tane but was sleeping with Levi so I was glad, he threatened to leave and had a conversation with her talked Felicity round. Her love for Tane remains strong. The fact that she was scared of the gunman to the point where she locked herself in her home but still left to go after Tane anyway proves that. Remi - I thought Remi was doing a Tane basically. OK for him to sleep with someone else but when Bree does it, he throws a strop. I actually loved that Bree got on Nelson's bike when she first started seeing him. You could argue that Remi having a go at Cash about protecting Stevie was harsh although I did think he had a point. I thought Bree was out of line kissing him because she was confused and I think Remi was right that they keep their distance. Cash - I do have some sympathy Stevie dying on his watch and didn't like Remi having a go at him but part of me did feel if he was more focused on being her bodyguard things might have ended up different. It probably wouldn't have made much difference and even if it did he might have ended up dead himself. Shook my head when the gunman basically apologiesd to Cash for doubting him, when Cash told him Stevie was dead. Dana - Still finding her quite annoying, selfish and inconsiderate. She used all of Bree's conditioner and during this thing with the court case she's made it about her. Thought she should have simply told John she had to testify in court because the dates were changed, then he wouldn't have been so pushy in the Diner. Tane - There was a comment made a while back I think with regards to how the attractive females focus on him. I tend to agree. Dana cutting herself up about Tane and the court case, Harper often following him around like a lost puppy and of course Felicity, not giving up on him despite the number of times he's told her to get lost. In terms of the whole Tane/Harper thing....I knew it. When he stuck his tongue down her throat a few months ago, she still agreed to do the PT sessions and considering how she's gone out of her way to help him, to me that indicated that she fancied him. Most people wouldn't want to spend any time around some who they didn't find attractive kissing them. Felicity is going to be distraught when she finds out. I think Tane's very lucky to get no jail time. I would even go as far as saying what was handed down by the judge was ridiculous. Loved the smug look on his lawyer's face in court though. I'm actually glad if only to see the fallout him sleeping with Harper re his current wife.

Whilst I don't want Felicity arguing with Mackenzie all the time at Salt, I can't really say I have much sympathy for her and wasn't too happy seeing her cry. Imogen's the one I feel sorry for and I don't think Mackenzie should be made out to be the victim. I would say for the most part, I actually quite liked John in that episode. I liked his excitement driving Nelson around the beach and his reaction when he found out they were going to film him. I did like the fact he didn't judge Mackenzie however, I think it's one thing not passing judgement but another to actively endorse something. And I didn't agree with him when he said she deserves to be happy as it's at the expense of Levi's wife. It's a difficult one with Mali. I know he's got Kirby now, but I was of the opinion that if he was going to lose money from the surfing lessons because of the filming he should be compensated but then again, he's getting more work for the surf boards because of the film in the first place, or more specifically because of Stevie. I didn't blame him for having a go at Kirby. Not excusing what Mackenzie has done but like Felicity she should understand that she has to keep her opinions out of work.
-
I have to admit, whilst I'm not keen on Eden being self-righteous, I also enjoyed her giving Mali a serve. The thing I liked the most was the level of disgust on Eden's face when she was looking at Mali throughout that interaction. I initially thought Tane was out of line to Felicity even though I still think she should really have known better focusing her time on him. However, given her attitude towards Mackenzie at Salt, which is their business, it's hard to continue feeling sympathetic towards her. Don't get me wrong, I agree with her that Levi and Mackenzie should definitely be more discreet and I don't think he should be hanging around their workplace but as I said before, Felicity and Mackenzie have to work together. I think the way Felicity was to Mackenzie at Salt when she was talking to Tane's lawyer last week and Mackenzie herself acknowledging why she is annoyed at i.e. not because of the ethics of the affair but because Mackenzie was hypocritical, is a mark against Felicity. I do think it's ironic Felicity won't give up on Tane but expects Mackenzie to give up on trying to sort things out with her. I don't think it's a bad thing Felicity sleeping with Tane's Lawyer but I was laughing at how he Tane reacted. Let's put aside how childish he was coming across as, it very much seemed as though it's OK for him to sleep with other people but not her. I didn't buy it when he told his lawyer, he was unhappy, not because of him sleeping with Tane's wife but because the time wasn't being focused on his case. I also wasn't happy because at that moment, Felicity thought he was bothered, meaning he cares, so semi W for her. Although, he seems to have really put his foot down this time. So maybe Felicity will take the hint, like she expects Mackenzie to and give up trying. Justin's reaction when he saw Levi and Mackenzie on the beach then when he gossiped about them afterwards was funny. I like seeing this side of him. He was like this when Tori was dating Nate and there have been other instances that I can't think of right now. You do have to wonder about Leah's reaction as whilst she cleared the air with Justin later on, she showed the side of her that I don't like and I wonder if she is going to react like this anytime Justin says something slightly out of turn. I can't think of too many scenes between Leah and Mackenzie, so it will be interesting to see how Leah acts towards her, the next time they meet
-
I agree Alf was being a misery guts re Stevie wanting to film by the beach. Even Roo, saw the positive side to it and the potential income re the caravan park. I suspect he just likes to be in control of everything and allowing Stevie and Co to make the movie will relinquish some of that. Trying to understand the psychology of Stevie being so desperate to film at Summer Bay. I can't really believe it is just about Cash protecting her. Her rationale to Nelson was purely to do with the filming element but I don't think she was entirely truthful. I think Kirby should just stay out of the whole Remi/Bree thing. I don't like how she's effectively acting as a go between, which primarily favours Bree. How far is Bree prepared to go with Nelson? Even he was suspicious that she changed her mind and wanted to meet up with him. The end of the episode was the best part. The look on both Bree and Remi's faces when they realised they were effectively having a double date with each other was great.
-
Thursday Like I said about Felicity last week, the same thing applies to Bree. She's got it bad re Remi. I did find her conversations with Kirby quite amusing, where Bree wanted Kirby to tell Remi she didn't have a problem with him and Steve and she wanted validation from Kirby that she wasn't acting like and idiot and Kirby said she was. I think it's fine to say you don't care about something but if someone goes out of their way to say they don't care then they probably do. Remi's facial expression when Bree told him they could both date whoever he like made me laugh. Given they had broken up, I think it's been established they can date whoever they like so it wasn't necessary to point it out. I do think they both still like each other but have accepted the they can't really be together because of the differences on certain things. I liked how Remi supported Theo despite him having to step out of the band for a bit. I'm not keen on Alf but thought he had a point regarding Roo and this foster thing being her latest project. Not surprised Marilyn was supportive of the idea. Open to helping any child that isn't her own. Friday Roo's immature reaction to Alf ranting about her on the phone was hilarious. Again amusing seeing Bree say that Remi/Stevie didn't bother her when she actually saw them together. Kirby annoyed me when she went and spoke to Remi, asking him to be mindful with Stevie re Bree, acting like he's the one in the wrong. This was obviously due to the whole Theo/Valerie thing and the fact that she didn't like it rubbed in her face. I suppose the writers had to have a way for Stevie to stick around for a little while longer presumably so filming in the Bay is it. I did like the fact she stopped the games and was open about her motives to Cash and how it affected her, once Remi told her just to be straight with him.

I purposely didn't comment on Monday's episode because it was largely about Dana's happiness and that's the last thing I want to see. Really wasn't looking forward to Levi telling Imogen about the affair but whilst I didn't enjoy watching it and Imogen was devastated, it wasn't as bad as how I thought it would be. She was reasonably controlled considering. It's hard not to feel sorry for her because as I said before, she seems like such a nice lady but imagine coming home from a conference to have that dumped on you. Don't think she was expecting Levi to fess up about cheating on her but it did seem as though she sensed something was amiss as she was going out of her way to avoid talking to him. I was also glad Imogen heard Eden out, not because I care that Eden deserves a fair hearing but I do think Imogen needs support. The way Eden has been acting, she's reminding me of the person I found quite unlikeable previously. The problem is she's basically right and someone does have to look out for Imogen and considering that Imogen wants to give Levi another chance, it probably shouldn't be him. I can't really argue with how Eden spoke to Mackenzie either although I think 1) if it's done at Salt, Mackenzie has a right to ask Eden to leave the premises 2) Felicity doesn't have a right to ask Mackenzie to leave as Mackenzie owns half the business and has a right to work there. Well I'm glad Mali told Rose about the affair and she's been OK about it, even encouraging him to spend time with Mackenzie. I'm still not sure about those two because I don't like the way Mali has acted towards her re Tane but then again I think Rose has shown she can be quite cold. It would have been inconsistent if we didn't have Felicity checking in on Tane since he kidnapped the baby (as they are still married) but their scenes on Tuesday to me emphasised why I don't want her interacting with him. OK, she still cares about him and was clearly trying to help Tane, but I feel she also was using that as an excuse to spend time with him and the way she was looking at him, she's still got it bad. Oh and of course no criticism from her whatsoever with regards to Tane knowing about Mackenzie and Levi and not saying anything.

Thursday I have to admit, I did raise an eyebrow when Leah gave Theo a speech about being a great guy and wanting to help someone. I guess Valerie being easy on the eye helped. It's not a straightforward scenario and I don't think it's as simple as Theo made out. Leah is recovering from her own issues and I'm not sure someone like that should effectively be a live-in sponsor. Theo is also looking at this purely from a romantic perspective and as Justin alluded to he's ignored how bad of an influence Valerie has been on him, to the point where he now needs help himself. Although he seems to have accepted this, going with Remi to speak to Bree. It's also worth noting, which Theo didn't factor in is that Valerie was receiving treatment before she met Leah so no reason she can just go back to that. Well at least she did the right thing and fessed up. Whilst I'm kind of glad she's gone, I don't dislike her as such and hope she gets the help she needs. Xander annoyed me when he opened his big mouth and told Dana about Rose deciding whether charges would be pressed against Mali and Harper. I absolutely hated how she pestered Rose earlier in the episode (Roo was annoying as well) and then when she went to Rose's place afterwards to put even more pressure on her (Surely she could have gotten into trouble for that). And it's reached the point where I really dislike her. I also wanted Rose to press charges against Mali and Harper because of this and agree Rose is in an impossible position. Putting my own bias aside, purely from the perspective of a police officer, I couldn't think of a reason not to press charges against either of them, particularly Harper, given how recently she was let off doing this before. Essentially, I thought Rose had to chose between her boyfriend/friends or her career although I don't think she really is friends with Tane and is certainly doesn't really seem it with many of the locals but if she did press charges, other people could make life difficult for her as a police officer. Bree does actually seem like a true friend to Rose. I quite like their scenes. I liked Bree's reaction when Remi called her and her "Hey you" when she saw him with Theo later on that day. Friday Roo, really is a fickle one. She was firmly Team Tane before to the point where she even had a go at Rose at the police station and because she's met Poppy's mum, she now gives Tane a piece of her mind and calls Mali out for helping him. I don't disagree with her, don't get me wrong and think she is right, but I question the lack of consistency given that she's portrayed as reasonably wise didn't see this from the start. Dana continues to be annoying. I thought Mali did well to remain calm when she was pestering him to get Rose to not press charges (I would have told her to p**s off) and even the manner in which she conducted herself throughout that episode was infuriating. I can't believe no disciplinary action is going to be take against her despite the fact Tane is being charged and you would have to call into question the validity of an establishment like that. Absolute joke. Her apology do Xander just reminded me of one of the reasons why I dislike her. She came across as very disingenuous and was only telling Xander what he wanted to hear. As I said before, I just see her a insincere and selfish. I have to admit, I was suspicious of Irene initially when she brought Rose the coffee and spoke to her but she genuinely seemed to be concerned about Rose and be there as a friend. I accept Rose did try and be impartial but I'm not happy that she caved, as it feels as though Dana's poor behaviour has been rewarded. There's also the issue that it's a green light to put pressure on her in the future. Let's hope there are no repercussions because there is still a concern for me that Mail is Rose's boyfriend and Harper did the same thing previously. Tane has come across a lot better in the last couple of episodes I've seen him in. Even agreeing to talk to Rose. I agree that he's been portrayed and people in the bay are very sympathetically despite him blatantly being in the wrong. And he knows it!

There was an AVO out on Tane, he kidnapped the baby and should have just handed her to the police, not directly to the mother. Pathetic. And no, I would have said the same thing if it was a woman, even though that's completely irrelevant to the point being made. Not getting you there Hlover? Criticising the actions of certain characters, or not being happy with how certain scenes have turned out is perfectly acceptable. It's called having an opinion. So Leah, missed Marilyn at the wedding - I didn't. I actually thought Leah was going to let Valerie stay but I'm glad she didn't. Leah has only just come out of the clinic herself, so technically she's still recovering. When you combine that with Theo now having issues, Justin running a business and having to manage a band, I think it would have been a bit too much. I'm probably being harsh but Valerie has proven herself to lie compulsively and she believes she knows better than the people at the clinic and staying with Justin and Leah is the solution, or really she just wants free reign to do whatever she likes and has shown no signs that she's willing or even wants to give up the drugs. Well despite her desperation, it seems she didn't sell he car to score the gear, so I guess there may have been some level of self-control. I'm glad Cash caught Stevie's stalker and he's going to be behind bars. I wonder if Remi's going to keep seeing her. As an aside, I got an email notification earlier this morning that the image sharing site I was signed up to has disabled my account. I'd completely forgotten about that. Turns out it's because you now have to pay to store images. The only reason why I joined it was because if you wanted to have an Avatar on the forum back in the day, you had to link to an external image sharing platform. The good old days. Now you just upload the image directly from your machine.

Take your own advice and blame the writers for things/scenes you don't like. It's pathetic the kidnapper being the one to hand the baby back to her mother whereas they should have just given her to the police. I wasn't sure whether Levi was genuine when he said he wanted to tell Imogen before or whether he just wanted to appease Mackenzie but given after Mackenzie spoke to Imogen, Levi went round to her place to have a go at her he may not have wanted it coming out at that particular time. Very surprised that Remi was on board with rallying against Levi/Mackenzie given he was sleeping with Bree, when she was married to Jacob. I know the situations are completely different i.e. Jacob vs Imogen but there is still an element of hypocrisy. Yeah...I've defended Mackenzie numerous times but I can't disagree about her getting some flack. I just wasn't keen on Felicity doing it because 1)they run a business together and she was calling her out during work time 2) She seemed to want to have a go at her because how Mackenzie towards her during the pregnancy thing with Tane more than the fact that what Mackenzie was doing is wrong. I'm done with Valerie. She's too problematic and unwilling to change until she gets full treatment for her drug issues. She needs to go back to the clinic ASAP. I was firmly on Kirby's side for the whole of their scenes. Theo is as equally as frustrating trying to bail her out, but he's apparently in love.

I never said I didn't like the episode, I said it was OK. Whilst he was a bit heavy handed, I thought Rose's boss was quite correct to point out her conflict of interest with regards to her not going public quickly enough because her boyfriend lived with Tane. I appreciate she is in a very difficult position so it wasn't easy for her to arrest Theo/Eden/Kirby but I am glad she decided to be more of a cop and not do favours for her friends (Although I agree she had no choice). I honestly don't have very much sympathy for Tane and don't think he should have been able to hand the baby back to the mother. I was half expecting him to comment on her parenting skills. I can understand Harper and Mali trying to talk him into giving himself up but I once again strongly disliked how they were with Rose (although Tane does seem to accept that his fate is sealed). It was a timely reminder to Harper that she could face charges, given that she's done this before. I'm pretty fed up with Mali and have reached the point where I think him and Rose should just go their separate ways. I felt bad for her when she poured her heart out to Bree and was glad Bree was there as a shoulder to cry on. I like the scene when Bree apologised to Levi for hitting on him, although I wouldn't mind seeing her get drunk again as she's quite amusing. I genuinely couldn't understand why Mackenzie and Levi were kissing in public, especially given the close call with Alf a few weeks ago. I did wonder whether subconsciously Levi wanted to get caught. I did question how serious he was about Mackenzie but given he told Eden he's in love with her, he must be. If he is in love with Mackenzie, Imogen needs to know about it. Objectively, I can see why Eden is so full of anger and hatred and from her perspective it very much seems like Levi was using her as an excuse to spend time with Mackenzie but I also do genuinely believe he wanted to get to know and rebuild their relationship so I hope there is something to salvage. I am really interested to get a follow-up to the fact that Mali and Tane knew about the affair so am hoping Eden does confront Mali at least regarding that. I wasn't sure what to make of Felicity. When she called Mackenzie out, she expressed frustration at her Mackenzie because of how Mackenzie was to her being on the pill and not telling Tane despite the fact he wanted to have kids. I initially thought she was annoyed because Eden's her best mate but also because her own marriage failed. Unlike Eden and Levi, I don't think this is anywhere near as bad. Felicity and Mackenzie have gone through constant ups and downs but they've still remained friends. Even if they weren't, Felicity isn't the type of person to hold grudges. I mentioned that I wanted her to be free of anything Tane related so I'm glad she's focused on other characters but am surprised we've had no reaction from her re Tane leaving with the baby, handing himself in and getting arrested.

I actually thought it was a pleasant surprise to see Tori and Ava. When I first saw Ava, I did for a split second think it was Jasmine before I realised. I'd forgotten about how nice Ava's smile is. Shame she wasn't made a regular. I think the episode was OK but suspect Justin is going to have to deal with the consequences of not telling Leah about Theo and Valerie before getting hitched pretty soon.

"Xander and I have hit the end of our housemate road" - That's an interesting way of Bree putting it when asking Alf if there were any caravans available. However I am glad they've sorted things out. I wonder what Bree would have done if Xander had reciprocated the kiss. Don't have one iota of sympathy for Dana and found her crying quite annoying. Part of me does like the way Irene takes people under her wing and looks out for them but saying this wasn't Dana's fault was ridiculous. There was an AVO on Tane seeing the baby and she still let him see her anyway. Tane wouldn't have been able to take the baby if Dana hadn't provided access, not to mention the other things she did. So the police have not announced the fact that Tane and the baby have gone missing as Irene had no idea and neither did Felicity, Cash, Alf or any of the other characters apart from Dana. Even Bree didn't mention it and she works at the hospital, although it looks like she was off. I guess it's only been a day Perhaps with Dana telling the cops she's been in contact with Tane, Rose will try and talk him into giving himself up but even saying that if his phone is still on they should be able to track him down. I'm still not sure about Justin marrying Leah so wouldn't mind if the wedding got disrupted. Maybe Vita Nova can gatecrash it. I can't really blame Stevie for not wanting Cash's services any more as her lifestyle goes against being trapped 24x7.

I enjoyed the showdown with Kirby and Valerie and especially liked it when she told Kirby to get over herself. I hate to be on Kirby's side but it was really low of Theo to accept Justin's money for Lyric and use it to help Valerie score some more gear, so I'm glad Justin knows, although I'm not sure keeping it from Leah is the right choice as it feels like he doesn't want to risk Leah postponing the wedding. I can't really add much to the negative on what's been said about Dana. It's really sad she is so desperate for friends she put the baby in a scenario that allowed Tane to take her and I wasn't happy about her attitude towards Rose either. I also didn't like it when Harper stuck up for Dana when Rose was having a go at her but Harper did slightly redeem herself when she called Dana out afterwards on the fact she's been problematic regarding the baby multiple times. To me Dana doesn't seem professional enough to be a nurse and I actually think there's a strong argument she should be fired from her job (although she probably won't be) and if not fired, at the very least there should be some sort of disciplinary. I was actually pretty disgusted with Mali hindering Rose's investigation and it actually didn't really achieve anything. I also wondered whether Mali's original tendency to be against the police instinctively kicked in. I guess Rose will reassess the relationship after this. I do find Bree funny when she's been drinking, whilst it is a bit cringe, but I did enjoy how Dana didn't like it when she kissed Xander. It would be a shame if she moves out but I understand how awkward it is with him now. Again really liked Felicity. She can be like a dog with a bone when she wants information although she didn't really have to press Xander too much for him to tell her about Bree. I did like the part where she was trying to get Bree to talk to Xander, Bree tried to get out of it by saying she would talk to him when she next sees him and Felicity wouldn't let her. It seems as though Mackenzie's conscience after meeting Imogen was short lived. As expected, no too much guilt about meeting up with Levi.

John's to say John wouldn't want to be anyone else's celebrant. When Justin apologised to John last week for having a go at him the night before and mentioned he didn't have to be a celebrant for his and Leah's wedding and could do it for other couples, John admitted that taking the celebrancy course was never about being a celebrant. He said he only did it so he could marry his two closest friends. I feel quite sorry for Imogen. She seems like such a sweet person and really doesn't deserve this. She knows something's wrong. The tired excuse that Levi gave when not wanting to be intimate with her can often be a bad sign. I actually think Mackenzie sitting down and meeting her in person is a good thing as she's got to know Imogen as a person, so hopefully it will steer her towards ending things with Levi. I'm not as annoyed with her because at least she actually feels some guilt. Levi on the other hand I'm starting to quite dislike. He lies to his wife, constantly fobs her off and goes round to have a go at his mistress for something he started. I was actually hoping Tane and Mali would be present during Mackenzie and Levi's chat towards the end of the episode as they would have stepped in when he kicked off. I was glad he was on edge when he was at Salt with Eden, Imogen and Mackenzie. Remi and Stevie eh. Well Remi can now claim the - I've slept with a movie star - been there, done that and got T-shirt. Presumably Cash is going to hit the roof if Stevie posts pictures after he sleeping with Remi on social media.

John wanting to do celebrancy is for the wrong reason. He's doing it solely to host Justin and Leah's wedding, not because he actually wants to be a celebrant for other people. Thursday: With regards to Thursday, so good to have an episode without Tane, Roo or Dana. Really enjoyed Felicity. I also liked how excited she was to see Stevie, the interaction between them and the fact Stevie and Cash were there waiting for her reaction when she initially came home and didn't spot her. The best part was when she when to see Mackenzie and interrupted Mackenzie's time with Levi, discussing the event, Mackenzie couldn't get rid of her then she had to agree to go to the fund raiser (I actually think Levi and Mackenzie kind of deserved it so I was almost cheering). I know Felicity's doing the whole charity thing for Tane but I still think she's so much better when she's not around him and interacting with other characters. I think with this whole Stevie staying at Cash's, I'm mostly on Eden's side (never thought I'd say this a few months ago) but I kind of respect Cash for being a good bodyguard. Interestingly, Remi seemed to see it mainly from Cash's perspective. I liked the way Stevie was standing there waiting for Remi to react (like Felicity) and his actual response was very nonchalant. Seeing Stevie sitting by the pool relaxing, she's not bad looking at all. I hope they don't do the Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner thing because I do think Cash and Stevie have chemistry. Bree was looking hot when she went surfing. Her face when she saw Remi performing at Salt. I know it's a figure of speech but given Remi is still recovering from his recent injuries, Felicity telling him to break a leg, probably wasn't the most appropriate way to wish him luck. Friday: Despite the serious side of the storyline and I'm really not keen on either of them, the resulting scenes of Mackenzie/Levi affair still continues to entertain. Mali continuing to show his disdain was quite funny. Bree attempting to hit on Levi was sublime. She was really funny, it caused Mackenzie to get out of shape but Remi's reaction was good too (I'm not actively against Remi but I do sometimes find him sulking quite amusing). She looked hot for the second episode in a row when she was surfing. If this is goodbye for them, then I can't say I'm too bothered. I initially felt she was too good for Remi but I did kind of get used to them together, although the accident has highlighted incompatibilities. I always felt the reason why Bree got with Remi in the first place because she saw him as a form of escape and a way out with Jacob. I've defended Rose because I don't like the way certain characters have acted towards her regarding the storyline with Maia but yet again we see another instance of how dismissive of Mali she is. I know she was at work but he did do a nice thing for her, bringing her food and she seemed quite cold. Levi is eventually going to run out of excuses to give Eden as to why he's in the bay. She almost had him. If she had just stuck to making a general statement about having an affair and not mentioned what happened with Bree the night before, Levi might have fessed up. I suspect when this comes out Eden is going to say he lied about not having an affair and he will use the argument that he didn't lie as he said he wasn't having an affair with Bree. I was wondering after Thursday's episode, (excluding Tane and Mali) who is going to be the first to discover the affair out of Eden and Felicity. The end of the episode was the best part. I laughed when Eden said she had invited Imogen...oh boy (this is going to be fun). Best part was when Harper told Rose that another family were going to be fostering Maia. Brilliant. Not only does that put Roo's nose out of joint but I can wait to see the fallout re Tane.
