  14. That's terrible news. 56 is no age at all. When people discuss former Home and Away actors who have achieved success in the USA, Julian is only ever mentioned on that list intermittently. Perhaps it's because he left so long ago (1991) and because Ben wasn't a particularly likeable character. When you look at his resumé, it's pretty solid stuff. Amongst the guest roles that most actors accumulate on their CVs, he was in some long-running TV series. Another World, Charmed, Nip/Tuck, those FBI shows. He was also Dr Doom in some of those Marvel movies. He even got to be Prime Minister of Australia in The Residence . I'm sure his casting in that role wasn't a coincidence.

  18. Obviously everyone watched the show during different periods, I'm just curious which relationships are everyone favourite and why they love each one. My top 5 in No Particular Order Cash & Jasmine, they both had silmar upbringing and were so supportive of each other through the good and bad times. Cash was the first person since Robbo that Jasmine fully trusted to build a relationship with and he made sure she knew he would never leave her. Gutted with how it ended they were perfect together. Pippa & Tom, the original parents of the bay. The older relationship that I love most I hope I find someone who loves me as much as they did each other. They clearly meant everything to each other, she always mentioned him whenever she returned to Summer Bay and Tom wanting Sally to tell Pippa he was waiting for her proven that he would always be there for her. Sally& Flynn. My favourite relationship ever, soulmates, they belonged together. No one ever came close to Flynn for Sally that was clear when she couldn't marry Brad because she didn't want to marry anyone besides Flynn. Flynn cared for her so much, stood by her through so much and I was devastated that they got torn apart so soon. Mackenzie & Logan. Okay maybe they didn't last as long as Mackenzie's other ships but I enjoyed them way more. I wish they were endgame instead of her and Levi. Leah & Miles. The only time I really loved Leah was when she was with Miles. Miles bought out the best in Leah and they had gone through silmar things in life so they understood each other.

  25. Mods: feel free to merge this with the 'Favourite Relationship' thread if tumbleweed starts drifting through here. Again, I'll give credit where credit is due - this thread in General Discussion Here are some main cast/guestie relationships I didn't care for Marilyn and Phil Over the space of 3 weeks in 1992, Marilyn met, fell for and got engaged to widower Phil Bryant. He was smarmy, old enough to be her father and had a teenage daughter who wasn't enamoured with the thoughts of a youthful stepmother. To the surprise of nobody, the marriage didn't make it to the 3-year mark. To the surprise of anybody still watching in 2022...Heather..WTH??? Sophie and David Arguably, this controversial storyline looks even worse in modern times. To quote the late, great Smash Hits magazine, "Bleeeurrgh. See also Steven and Jennifer and Tug and Beth Angel and Simon I never cared for "Shangel" so I have no dog in this fight. Having said that, it was hard to watch Angel pretend to warm to the charisma-free Simon. So Angel, what attracted you to the very wealthy Simon? Bobby and Geoff Bobby had terrible taste in men, didn't she? She briefly got engaged to the drippy Geoff after discovering she was pregnant with a married man's child. Grant and Jane They went from 0-60 and back again in no time at all. Was anybody sorry to see her go? Nick, Lucinda and Ryan I never liked Nick and Lucinda as a couple, so I'm adding Ryan to the mix as a technicality. All three actors were badly served by this lurve triangle nonsense.

  32. I normally don’t have a opinion on Mali his normally just there for me but his quite the wally everyone’s birthday gift is normally different when gift buying for someone based on everyone’s different relationship with that person so he should give Abby the painting Speaking of Abby what on earth happened to her on her birthday she was very bizarre and slightly odd Harper I could understand you looking out for Dana with Sonny when river boys were around but the way you’re acting now is rather bizarre too Mac yes I’m also surprise at how often people are having sex on this show that not everyone is having babies but maybe I live a very sheltered life But in reality you have only been trying for about a day lol again bizarre in short everyone is bizzare

  33. Justine was in YR12 with Tom and Vinnie during the Collins arc and she did the best of the three (Not surprisingly). Think she did get in the Uni and commuted to the city ala Shannon and Sal until she left the bay Yeah but Brett tried to fling another Woman off a cliff!

  34. In comparison to the more colourful Diner and Surf Club sets, the Macklin ones were very beige and soulless.

  35. She left three years after it happened. Some people aren't even on the show that long. I always feel people overstate how much she was against the idea, she may have felt it was the wrong timing in 2002 or whenever but I think she always knew it would happen eventually.
