That's a shame for you guys :( Seems funny that the channel's top rating show only gets each episode aired once ever ,never to be seen again.

I guess it's just a cultural difference really, repeats and omnibuses (especially of soaps) is just what's done here in the UK. Maybe the idea wouldn't catch on there.

Maybe but most of the english soaps never used to be shown twice. Its only since we have got the digital channels that they really show the repeats, I.e eastenders on bbc3, emmerdale and corrie(?) on itv2. The Bill on ITV3 (yes its classed as a soap lol) So its understandable in australia that unless they had a 7+1 or 7extra then they could do that!

It's not the top rater :P *cough*Dancing With The Stars*cough*Desperate Housewives*cough*Lost*cough*

I meant one of the highest rating shows. I thought by calling it a "top rating" show people would realise what I meant (leaving aside the fact that this really wasn't the point of my post anyway). Guess I was wrong and I'll have to be completely accurate in what I say from now on so as not to cause further confusion not naming any names krazykarl.

I see what you mean. Certainly the introduction of digital TV and extra channels has increased the number of repeats (arguably just to fill up all the space!). But even before then, both Brookside and Eastenders had weekend omnibuses long before digital TV came along, corrie used to be repeated on and off on weekday afternoons on ITV1, and they also had an omnibus on ITV1 on Saturdays in most regions. Not to mention Neighbours and Home and Away which are imports and are both shown twice and pretty much always have been, despite only being shown once in their home country , and not forgetting Sunset Beach and Family Affairs which both had omnibuses as well as weekday showings :P

The Channel's top rating show: One... singular... not "oh I now mean one of the top rating show's/" Get it right before you make a comment :P

Unless I'm sadly mistaken the show has been number 1 on more than one night.

And I take back what I said, I'm glad you only get one airing of the show. We get 3 and therefore don't have to rely on 14 year old kids to upload episodes if we miss them.

I'd also like to make a totally random and innocent remark that has nothing to do with anything - Tigers suck.

Ouch Ste... you just had to bag out a team you have no idea about. Ouch :P

The top rating show on a network can only be worked out on a week by week basis. If you had said "A show that regularly tops the national ratings on any given night" I would have agreed with you :P
