I was watching a programme about Britney Spears' celebrity life or something on TMF and there was a woman signing there too - it looked totally out of place. There were no subtitles, though, so at least it was useful. I always considered subtitles to be easier to read, moreso than watching a woman signing everything would be... way more distracting.

(which is why I don't understand what the big deal is. If you miss the occasional evening episode I'm sure you can put up with the sign language once in a while. And if you're never at home in the evening and you really can't watch it with the sign-language the next day... use a VIDEO RECORDER!).
