cymbaline Posted July 5 Report Posted July 5 That's terrible news. 56 is no age at all. When people discuss former Home and Away actors who have achieved success in the USA, Julian is only ever mentioned on that list intermittently. Perhaps it's because he left so long ago (1991) and because Ben wasn't a particularly likeable character. When you look at his resumé, it's pretty solid stuff. Amongst the guest roles that most actors accumulate on their CVs, he was in some long-running TV series. Another World, Charmed, Nip/Tuck, those FBI shows. He was also Dr Doom in some of those Marvel movies. He even got to be Prime Minister of Australia in The Residence . I'm sure his casting in that role wasn't a coincidence. 2 Quote

I think as well it’s because the shows he was a lead in were more cult, he didn’t really have mainstream success, he just worked succesfully and steadily as an actor for decades and I think the effort & skill required to do so is underestimated. 1 Quote
Homeandawayfan. Posted July 11 Report Posted July 11 Only just read this, very sad news. One of my fave eras of H&A was the Ben and Carly era. Quote
