Did enjoy Cash teasing John about doing his and Edens wedding

I do find Sonny quite amusing as well he and Dana seem very natural together

It was good to see Leah back to her old self, I guess it finally dawned on her that she'd pushed it as far as she could. Theo seemed to be the one making the most waves, reacting in a defensive manner to fairly innocuous comments from Leah and Justin. But once Leah had offered an apology, things seemed to go well between everyone involved, with Leah and Lacey soon bonding. So we learn a bit about Lacey's background, her mother's dead, it sounds like her father's still around and she has a sister. It's kind of ironic that, when Theo was there, Leah and Justin couldn't wait to have the house to themselves, but now they've got it to themselves all the time, they're miserable about it.

I actually found myself cheering Marilyn here as she was the only person willing to speak up for Sonny and Dana being together while Harper had a permanent sour face on and Irene was once more judgemental about someone she doesn't seem to have spent nearly enough time with to form a considered opinion. (Her baby snatcher tendencies resurfacing over Archie, not so much.) I think I've been thoroughly won over to Sonny and Dana by Harper's constant bleating.

I love Marilyn's enthusiasm when it comes to love, I think Dana and Sonny could be good together long-term - they have great chemistry 😊

I thought initially when Harper and Dana stayed at Tane's temporarily, it was interesting he still referred to one of the bedrooms as Perri's room

I agree with other people that Lacey and Dana going to see their respective boyfriends was stupid.  I actually enjoyed most of the recent scenes regarding this storyline.  I thought the River Boys were pretty well organised given how they planned and executed taking out the two bodyguards and kidnapping Theo and Sonny but after that, surprising quite lax and they capitulated quickly when Cash and Tane caught up with them.

Leah has been annoying as **** over the last week.  I was cheering when Theo put his foot down with her and insisted he didn't want to live with her and also when Bree wouldn't stand for Leah's nonsense when Leah was trying to pressurise Bree to get Theo to move back to hers.  I think Justin's attitude has been far better, whilst not being too happy about it, accepting that Theo is old enough to stand on his two feet.  In saying that I did actually quite like the scenes where Leah and Lacey were getting on.

Harper has been quite annoying re Dana and Sonny.  I do think she had a good argument originally, but I don't see the point in trying to stop them.  Kind of feels like there's an element of sour grapes.

Bree seems perfectly OK living with Sonny.  I know it was dealt with pretty quickly, but I'm not sure someone in her position would normally be comfortable in a situation like that, especially enough to allow someone who tried to stick their tongue down her throat, given it's her boyfriend's best mate.

It was good to see the Leah we like back. I suppose Theo was defending his girlfriend which is a good thing to see.  The meal started off a tad frosty with Justin trying to attempt small talk and mostly failing.  It wasn't until  Lacey decided it wasn't working and saying she should go that prompted Leah to apologise that things properly thawed.  Leah and Lacey even bonded enough  to joke about making up a doggy bag for Sonny.  Must be another continental thing that Leah made enough food to feed an army.

Leah giving Lacey  a job at the Diner wouldn't be a  good idea, to me it had an ulterior motive, she could interrogate - sorry gently question Lacey about her home life or threaten to hold her head under the deep fat frier if she refused to answer.

A clue/hint there about Lacey's dad and how she knew leave her  phone behind so it could be tracked  when asked by Leah.  She said he was into cop dramas.  Lacey hasn't revealed much about her background, guess she and Theo haven't  had that much time to go into it and I'm guessing Gage would care.  All she told Leah and Theo was her mum was dead and she dies in an accident.  We did see that photo and we know who the new sargeant is and who else he is.

He didn't give Cash the best welcome, did Cash even know he was turning up that day?   He was tearing Cash off   strip because of him 'taking' Tane along when he busted the RB's.  He didn't have much of  a choice, Tane jumped in the car and told him he wasn't going alone, was Cash supposed to sit there and argue with him?

One thing we don't know how old Lacey is do we about the same  age as Theo do we think - younger?

Leah acknowledging Theo  has finally left home, empty nest syndrome kicking in.  Like a lot of parents whinging on about how the kid(s) are always about, eating them out of house and home but when they do go,  they miss them.  Doesn't seem Theo has been with them for four years.

That is our Maz for you wanting to see couples together, she's seen how Dana and Sonny are with each other - so what if it isn't long term - let them enjoy each other for as long as they are.    As much as we love Irene she can be on the downside of people, but let's not forget she did get it so badly wrong with Bronte who she thought she knew.    Irene is just going by Harpers biased opinion of Sonny.

It was a total coincidence Sonny walking into Salt when Dana and Harper where there, it is a restaurant/bar so anyone can walk in.  What's he supposed to do check with Harper/Dana to find out here they are so he doesn't turn up at the same place.  It's  a small town so of course it'll happen.  I do remember when Maggie and Ben split up she told him exactly that so they didn't run into each other. 😁

Anyways apart from that abortive talk on the balcony Sonny and Dana did get to talk and a lot, lot more besides. 😉😁   They did have to tone it down when Theo and Lacey came home though.   That was so 🤣 when Sonny and Dana came up to the coffee cart, got busted so just  shook hands and  said 'see you later'.  Harper's  face said it all.  How would either Irene or Harper know Dana hadn't come home?

That has to be one of the most bizarre cases of a reused actor ever, on a par with Vinnie's dad playing a random homeless person, Aden's dad being the new school principal and Robert Robertson turning up as a random counsellor. I've seen enough spoiler photos to get used to it but when I first saw him I immediately thought "Dylan Carter's back?!" And he's even playing another arrogant and corrupt police officer, although he's listed as a regular (not on the opening credits yet, have to keep an eye out for that!), so presumably there's a heart of gold in there somewhere. We didn't see much evidence of it here, with him being a hypocrite with Cash, needling him about breaking protocol while blatantly abusing his position, and coming across as rather controlling with Lacey. I'm not sure what Tane thought he was doing turning up at the station: Did he really expect New Sarge to go "Oh, okay then" when he said it was all his fault? He's obviously good at twisting people's words. I remember Lacey saying a while back about having been let down by the police in the past.

I would guess Lacey is around the same age as Theo, yes. (25?) I did like Justin getting Leah to be his new gaming buddy in order to stop her dismantling the house and putting it back together again, and despite his protests last episode, Theo seems to be fine with just walking in as if it's still his home. (Mind you, most people do that on this show.)

I was kind of expecting Dana and Sonny's storyline to continue, we've kind of been left hanging there!

I’m surprised they have cast the same guy who played Dylan Carter to play a good guy because nothing against the actor he does seem to have a villain like face to him lol Oh well I guess we will see if he turns into a villain or not this time around

Until we know Lacey's and Langham's back story and why they are estranged I think we should reserve judgement.

People do grieve in different ways, him being dad, head of the household felt he had to take 'control'.  Maybe he threw himself into work, as guys tend to do,  to work through it and neglected his daughters when Lacey felt he should be at home with them. it is only two years so still raw. All we know, from what she told Theo it was an accident  We got quite a bit of info with those exchanges, how he'd been looking for her and how she didn't want to be found hence change of name and she blames him for something- her mum's death, how he handled it, the mention of her sister.

We don't know he's corrupt yet, just a gruff no nonsense cop.  He did con Cash into bringing Lacey back to Yabbie Creek though but  I guess it must have been a shock for him seeing his daughter's face in  the RB's file and that she is calling herself Miller - her mum's maiden name as it turned out and finding out she was the girlfriend of the head RB. That reunion certainly wasn't  a happy one. I'm glad after her initial blasting Cash she apologised realising he wasn't to blame.  We do know how Lacey knew to leave her mobile in the truck so she did listen to him sometimes.

I'm guessing, as not knowing the law about legally changing your surname is in Australia is, she'd have to be over 18 at least.

It's apparent he's not  a local and did he ask to be moved to a small town cop shop or was he 'advised' to?🤔  If he had been stationed  anywhere near Yabbie Creek or the bay he would know the RB's not just what he's read about them which is a whole different matter.

Be very interesting to see how he gets on with the SB residents, Alf, John, Irene and co.

Cash did  know new boss was coming that day then  but he wasn't late maybe Langham is a stickler for the rules and expects 'his' staff to be there before him.   He certainly came down hard on Cash, digging up his past demeanours, being suspended,  being cleared and him leaving the force, then coming  back again. Then he brought up him 'taking' a civilian aka Tane to a crime scene.  As I said earlier what was Cash supposed to do, sit there arguing with Tane whilst wasting time rescuing Theo and Sonny.   I spotted Langham was very good at twisting people's words like he did with Tane, guess he'll be looking at his record.

Leah defo going into empty nest syndrome overload there, busying herself by cleaning the house to keep her mind occupied.  Justin did suggest one way her mind could be taken off Theo having  gone but that fell flat  so to speak.🤣😉  Anyways the way Theo just calmly walked in later may have scuppered it as of course the door wouldn't have been locked.   Before you say it I  know Theo isn't her child and he hasn't gone off to collage/uni, he's still in the bay, but she's acting the same way as any mum would.  Justin, jokingly saying at least they will be saving on grocery bills.  Daft question but will Theo be bringing his washing home for Leah to do or will he expect Bree to do it?🤣  Theo did just walk in and help himself to the food out of the fridge.

Justin was a clever 🐇  getting Leah to be his gaming buddy, didn't go quite as  he planned it  though - she beat him and Theo saw it.

Seems from what we saw in the trailer/promo Lacey is leaving town and from what we heard Leah was giving advice, not laying the law down by suggesting  to Lacey that if she feels she really can't stay now her dad has turned up so she has to leave she should tell Theo and not just run off.   Theo deserves to know what the story is and why.

When Leah said she wasn't Lacey's biggest fan at first, I thought "You weren't her biggest fan yesterday." At the start of this episode, we were still only a day on from Friday's episode with Leah defensively asking Justin if Lacey was there when he took Theo's stuff round: That's quite a turnaround! But anyway, Leah gave her some good advice. We get some more hints about the rift between Lacey and David: They disagreed over the driver that killed her mother and Lacey feels David didn't support her. Still, if her mother died two years ago and she only moved out six months ago, that suggests she stuck at it for quite a while. So, Leah is now in the awkward position of knowing more about Lacey than Theo does... We saw a bit more of a human side to David but he still thinks a "clean slate" involves putting Cash on traffic duty, even if he did admit he abused his power to bring Lacey to the station. When Eden was talking about the amazing coincidence of the new sergeant being Lacey's dad, I thought "Yeah, that'd be like the hospital getting help from a top heart surgeon who turns out to be your brother." Cash gives Tane a "That's another fine mess you've got me into" look on seeing him at the station.

Elsewhere, Kirby has a new arch-enemy. It did seem a bit odd that they were basically trying to put Lyrik back together without putting Lyrik back together, so I'm glad Eden thought it was weird too. Kirby really should have let her answer and I'm surprised Remi and especially Cash didn't notice she wasn't particularly enthusiastic for it.

If Kirby was around when that new girl was the next upcoming star with Forest and Kirby had the chance of being as big as her I ask again and I always ask this why didn’t Kirby go for the solo career last time especially when Lyrik has basically given up straight after bullying her to go back to the band why oh why oh why
