Why is Roo getting a grilling, well that is how I think the meting will be, about what went wrong with Eliza? It was her SW's putting her with an inexperienced carer with absolutely no back that caused all the problems.  At least she had Harper there to be in her corner.  I think Alf is being  a bit naive thinking Roo would want to step back taking on another foster child. Has he not met Roo?   I know nothing how it works but if a emergency placement goes well do 'they' not leave it for a while anyway before they place another one with them so the carer can take a breath?

I suppose  the fact the RB's  being so obvious is good in a way as Cash can keep tabs on them.  I'm guessing Gage has told them to do what they are doing and they daren't disobey him.  I've noticed they are nowhere near ND's

Sonny, it appears isn't on their to follow list, it's Theo or rather Lacey he's after. To Gage he's a minor problem to worry about later.   They weren't remotely bothered when they saw him and Remi, they were following Cash again.  Remi, however, isn't taking any chances by hiring the body guards to look over him.  I know Sonny was treating it a big joke, but I think that was a cover to hide his true feelings. He may have been a bit of a  ducker and diver in the past but this got very heavy.

Maz is spot on this time though Sonny and Dana do like each other.  It was Sonny's choice to ring Dana and let her know where he was.  What were they expecting to find in her hamper?  Did giggle when one of them said "No, he didn't want to share a bed  with Sonny".  Them hanging around just outside the door may put Sonny and Dana off getting romantic - if you know what I mean. 😉

It was good that Sonny, Remi and Justin made their peace so one thing cleared up.  But  Leah  dropped her bombshell by admitting to Justin she'd told Lacey to keep away and not to contact Theo.  I  can kind of see she'd want to keep him safe, but she is treating him like  a little child and yes OK he does act like one but he is an adult.  She doesn't know Lacey's history  and how she got entangled with Gage and the RB's.

All that nagging that he MUST do his psyhio, I'd flip and dig my heels in. Now he knows what she has done and totally lost it and thrown her and Justin, who was innocent btw, out. Leah does have so much history of interfering  when she thinks she doing the right thing.

Btw has Leah suddenly developed selective memory loss, she had a serious crush on a RB back in the day - Brax.  He helped VJ so she got close to him seeing another side to him so got pretty close to him.

Cash is having a hard time looking after Lacey, it must be frustrating for her having to hide out at a  cop shop of all places.  Gage is still keeping tabs on her wanting  to  know where she is. Obviously he hasn't put  a tracker on her pone as he would know where she is. Cash was blindsided when Lacey walked out of the office when she heard Justin asking if Cash knew where she was and was she safe.  I thought Justin just said he'd spoken to her and she was safe.

Levi did do a good job with Theo, he wasn't nagging him just encouraging him to give his psyhio a go.

I'm undecided about the new opening titles, seem to rush through them and I'm not liking the woman singer, too whispery for me.

Lacey finally gets her safe house...and Cash suddenly loses his shadow, which is slightly worrying. It came right after Cash getting the call that Lacey was at the safe house, although thankfully even he doesn't know the location.Do the River Boys have a contact?(In which case, why haven't they been tipped off before?) Were they somehow listening in on the phone call? Or, less dramatically, were Gage's legal team informed? I liked the phone conversation between Theo and Lacey, with Lacey especially coming across as grown-up about it. I don't know what the chances are of her coming back after the trial? Would she be in witness protection indefinitely? Leah isn't completely wrong that they should have kept a closer eye on Theo, but her insistence on blaming everything on Lacey has become as frustrating as Justin trying to spin everything as being Sonny's fault, and didn't make it easier for Theo to listen to her.And now she's apparently taking it out on Justin just because he's not wholly in agreement with her!

Meanwhile, just as Justin softens towards Sonny, Remi snaps back to seeing him as a screw-up. I'm glad he got more-or-less the whole story about Bree being the one to put them in contact, but it didn't seem to make much difference.Sonny shutting down Dana's hints about staying the night was the right thing to do and maybe shows some growth on his part.

So, Mali's inevitably getting a backlash over the article.Kirby's between a rock and a hard place here: Mali's made it pretty clear he doesn't want help, and probably wouldn't appreciate her approaching him with an offer, yet it's hard to just sit back and do nothing.

I'm thinking the RB's got the tip off from Gage via his legal team Lacey's now in a safe house which is why they've stopped following Cash.  if only they knew he'd been leading them to her everyday.  I'm also thinking now Gage's legal team know Theo has given his statement is why they've posted a police guard on Theo.

Justin, has of course been in WP so would understand  how she'd be feeling but he had his family with him whereas Lacey is alone. Cash did ask if she had anyone but she shut him down.  Cash did at least let her phone Theo to let him know that she wouldn't be able to be  in touch again and wished him luck.

Leah has been so insufferable and what was with her blaming Justin for not keeping an eye on what he was doing?  Apart from that one hiccup with buying that dodgy part, he was just putting  a car together.  Was Justin meant to keep tabs on him when he wasn't working at the garage?  She was still putting all the blame on Lacey for getting involved with a RB and luring Theo into her web.

Naturally Theo had heard every word she and Justin were saying when he was 'asleep' which was why he blew up at her and banned her - and Justin(?) from visiting him.  Poor Bree having to deliver that news. Everyone is going to be suffering from that.

Bree as we know didn't know about Sonny being in 'hiding' so that is why she gave Dana his number but he could have said don't visit.  I did 🙂 at Remi's comment to Bree about the fact Sonny didn't do serious relationships - um he's suddenly developed short term memory loss hasn't he, he wasn't into serious relationships until he met Bree.   I'm not suggesting it'll be the romance of the year but hey let them enjoy it while it lasts, they both have the same outlook on life. At least Dana knows it wasn't anything personal as she was listening at the door.   He did show some responsibility when he told her to go home so like you said Red maybe he has grown and he did ask one of his guards to take her home.  Dana did ask a good question as to why he got caught up with the RB's and he answered honestly that it was to pay back Remi for the money he'd stolen.

Someone ought to tip Mali  off -  forewarned is  forearmed so who's going to draw the short straw Abbey/Eden/Mac?  Whatever, going at the mag or mostly the journo  would be much better coming from both of them a two pronged attack.

Alf's episode count this week:Four. Leah, Justin and Cash were also in four.

I thought there was an interesting contrast in the parallel complaining scenes:Leah was just ranting and not interested in anything Irene had to say, while Justin actually seemed to listen to John.Leah continued to be insufferable, blaming anyone convenient for Theo's injury, while Justin just blamed her for putting Theo offside.Anyway, she seemed to calm down and listen by the end, so hopefully that sticks.

Mali continued to stick his head in the sand, sometimes for noble reasons, sometimes just out of stubbornness. Abigail was right to tell Kirby the truth, and Kirby grabbing random people on the beach and trying to get them to apply was probably the daftest thing she could think of. (Mind you, it's pretty much how she got the job!) Anyway, Mali seems to have come up with a plan that could work, so I understand Abigail choosing to support this.

Cash was another one being daft, choosing to sit in the police station like a zombie chasing up pointless leads (and not thinking of the obvious solution, to get someone to keep an eye on the River Boys). Anyway, he managed to tear himself away and spend time with Eden eventually, and may even have found something else to focus on.

The reasoning behind Eliza’s music box and the items inside Alf pills something that can save a life Harpers picture of her giving birth a symbol of life entering the world through great pain with a possibility of Harper dying because of it which Eliza was hoping to happen both with Harper and Alf so yeah I think she was pretty much a psychopath with a obsession of both Life being created and then also watching it fade into death uneventfully nobody did die it would have made Eliza’s story better if someone had died I think

Thats all I have watched I for one find the opening credits really cringy and cheesy much better without them in my opinion

I did say Leah would be lashing out at everyone, Justin, Irene and even Alf who innocently commented he was glad Theo was doing OK.  Her ranting and raving at everyone would hardly have been good for business, surprised anyone was in the Diner in case she took it out on them.  Irene  was trying to get her  see it from both sides but Leah was having none of it, SHE was right and Justin was in the wrong. Irene would  have been in her rights as co-owner to send her home.  She also blamed Justin for not telling her about what Cash had told him.  Anyways, finally, he got her to calm down after once again saying she was going  to the hospital and sit outside his door.  He said Theo would ring her and she needed to give him space. I wouldn't hold your breath though.

Mali is  a proud guy, part aborigine upbringing, part of how his family brought him up. He left Mantaray Point to prove to his family and himself he could make it it on his own which so far he has.  He fibbed he'd got applications for the job to put off Kirby and make her feel better.  Then Abbey told her the truth.  Then he revealed he was going back to basics, just shaping boards and selling them along with all that is needed to keep them in good nick. It was how he started and was making a very good living from it, the surfing lessons was a side line but has now taken over.  He'll need to point his regulars to other instructors.  Abbey has seen how good he feels about it so will be with him.

Cash, strange as it may seem, may feel a bit lost now that he hasn't got his fan club following him about.  It is odd they seem to have just faded away but as we know Cash can get obsessive over things, just as well Eden was there to get him snap out of it. Wicked of him and Eden teasing John.

It has  inspired him to get that engagement ring out again.  He made that mysterious phone, well maybe not that mysterious as we saw Gary!😆👏 Someone else too. 🤐🙊🤫

:offtopic: Going off on a tandem The Diner is an eating establishment is it not where food is prepared and served so why doesn't  Leah tie her hair back, she always wears it loose so hair could fall in the food when she is cooking or serving it.    Marilyn has hers up and Irene has fairly  short hair  so not quite as bad but still not a good look.

Would that thought that even the River Boys would know better than to be so obvious in their stalking.  🤪

This current crop aren't too smart.

And what a week.

Bon Voyage, Madame Firebug. See ya never. It took Eliza nearly offing Alf for Roo to wake up to what everyone tried to point out. Marilyn (and others) may as well have been prancing about with a neon board saying "This Girl is Dangerous!".

Leah's getting on my nerves as are these 99p store River Boys.

To be honest, I think Kirby really did need some proper feedback rather than Justin acting like a man whose wife has just asked him which of outfit she should wear and going "They're all great" repetitively. The song she was trying out here felt a bit...average. (Maybe he's having flashbacks to Phoebe!) Maybe his rant will have some effect, although she still seemed to be a mess and needing Remi to drag her out of her funk the next morning.

Remi representing Justin and Leah to Theo didn't go much better.Theo's lucky he had friends to provide him with a bolt hole, otherwise he'd be sleeping in his car again. He really is struggling with the concept of Lacey being in witness protection, isn't he?

Cash is steaming ahead with his reproposal plan, getting Mackenzie on board and seemingly Kirby and Remi too. (And the promo shows that we finally meet the Fowlers' mother and get a name for her! Now we just need to meet Mackenzie's mum...)

But Eliza didn't set fire to anything in the bay did she?

To be fair to Justin he did have more pressing things on his mind, Theo and not only the fact he doesn't want to see him but that he has a police guard on him and what would happen when he got released from hospital.  She seemed to have forgotten, another one, is there something in the water(?)  she and Theo were an item for a while. She's overthinking the songs again 🙄.   I get she feels she owes Remi and Justin, Remi paying for the studio and equipment and Justin giving up his time to back her but relax girly.  Remi really had to drag her away to go to Gary's, not that she knew that is where she was going  to be going.    I think this new proposal and the setting will  give her inspiration or maybe stop her fretting so much.

Cash can certainly get things sorted in such a short space of time can't he, persuading Mac, not that she needed much once she knew what he was planning to do, that she should give Eden time off the very next day.  Quite the romantic too. He's also wangled himself time  off too. OK both Mac and Eden are at Gary's so who's running Salt? But how did he manage to persuade Mrs. Fowler - won't give name away in case not everyone knows it - to just pack her bags and get to Gary's place not as if it's in a city or town from wherever she lives.  I'm guessing he has met her before just not on screen.   He rounded up Mac, Levi and Abby too and she was amazed, happy to see her mum.  I'm thinking/hoping there will be a visit to Flick's grave, that would be a lovely/poignant touch. She'd be smiling and 🙄 thinking "about time".

I supposed we should have guessed when we met James we'd be meeting mum at sometime.

Remi did his best but Theo has dug his heels in and doesn't want to see Leah and by extension Justin or go back to their place when he gets out of hospital - he hasn't got his car though has he - have the police still got it?  Remi did suggest a 'safe place' and hire bodyguards as Theo would lose his police guard once he leaves the hospital. But it was Bree who had the 💡 moment by suggesting Sonny and Theo move into the Diner flat so they'll  only need one set of bodyguards  and she'll move into Remi's. It's been OK'd by Cash  so no worries there.  But then I had the thought not only will Leah be totally against it, blame Bree and Remi but he'll only be living upstairs from where she works so how will that work she won't be  able to resist going to check up on him every five minutes. I think he'd rather face the RB's than having Leah being just downstairs.

It would be understandable Theo would want to know where Lacey is and if she's safe but equally Cash can't tell him where she is, clue is in the name 'safe' house.  Cash could have been diplomatic with the truth and say he doesn't know where she is.  I'm guessing he does know.
