It only took five minutes around Tane and Harper for Eden to do a backflip and agree with Cash that they shouldn't be getting married. And that's after being on the receiving end of Hurricane Dana! Harper is having doubts, Dana, after being fully on board last week, now seems to be recognising those doubts as well. Tane...hard to say. I think he's still in the same head space of knowing he doesn't love Harper but still wanting to marry her and be a family anyway. Are Harper and Tane living together now? I feel like I've missed or forgotten her moving in. I was disappointed to hear John hasn't done any weddings apart from Leah and Justin's, what happened to all the interest he was getting on his website?

I had to raise my eyebrows at Cash saying he's always known what he wants, given he actually did break off his engagement to Eden. It seems to have got her interested again anyway, although Cash's worries about Tane got in the way of her declaration. Levi did manage to tell Mackenzie he wants a family, see how that goes once the Law of Inverse Fertility kicks in.

I don't  think Eden - btw did  I miss her streaks disappearing - had seen for herself how Harper and Tane  were together which has changed  her mind.   I think Harper was just staying o/n  at Tane and Cash's.  Tane is convinced or convinced himself just caring for Harper is enough for them to have a good marriage, love - well on his part - can come later.   A passionate relationship like his and Flick's was  can burn itself out.  Flick as we saw wasn't into domesticity unlike Harper.  We did see Harper had overheard Tane  and Cash talking.

Another telling moment was Tane being so reluctant at writing his own Wedding vows and we know how moving his and Felicity's were.   That atmosphere at the rehearsal was so awkward.

What did happen to the interest John got after Leah and Justin's Wedding?

That flummoxed  me too  Cash's comment.   She was, although it got side lined - going to propose to him.  When it does come out I wonder how Levi and especially Remi will take the news?

Talking of Eden, again, her talk with Levi prompted him into telling Mac he was ready and happy  to have a  family with her.  He was worried in case what happened to his own family - could   happen to him and Mac so kind of ironic it was Eden what with the way she was with him when he first  appeared in the by who said perhaps he wasn't ready for a  baby with Imogen but is now.  Mac has been there, done that as Rick broke his family up and doesn't seem worried it could happen to them.    If every couple thought like Levi did  no babies would ever be born.  Mac had said to Eden she wasn't sure if it would be  a no-brainer for her if Levi said he never wanted to be  a dad.

Of course it's all hunky dory at the moment but we don't know what, if any, fertility problems may arise.  Mac, having had an ectopic pregnancy, heart problem could even be  a problem on Levi's side.

As much as I'm enjoying Eliza's character, I'm also not convinced she was being honest with Roo when she quizzed her about the items in the box either.  And again this highlights her inconsistencies.  In one hand she can be quite controlled, such as antagonising Marilyn and manipulating Roo, but then she completely loses it with her in front of everybody.

Whilst once again I have to preface by saying this is partly Harper's fault, I'm so sick of Tane seeing her a just a vessel for his kid that I was actually enjoying how it bothered him when Harper started spending time with Eliza, allowed Eliza to touch the baby bump and was disappointed she caved to the pressure from Tane and decided not to involve herself with Eliza anymore.  Fast forward to the end of the week, I was glad after Cash read the speech Eden wrote for him said he couldn't say the words at the wedding as they weren't the truth.  I also laughed at the rehearsal.  It was the way the expression on Eden's face changed from being happy for them to the realisation Cash was right about Tane.  It's also funny because literally every person that has been involved has expressed reservations about him.  In saying that, Dana's attitude is still a little surprising.  She was the first person who raised concerns about Tane and expressed these to Mackenzie at the time.  Now her adopting the Bridezilla role seems to trump the red flags.  Harper really needs to do herself a favour and end this farce.  Tane won't because he wants his baby too much.

I do think Friday's episode worked quite well with the various couples.  One wedding that is only happening because of a pregnancy (Eden's comment showing how society has changed).  Another couple where one partner wants to have a kid whereas the other doesn't (although Levi's done an amazing U-turn now).  And then you have two people that want to get married because they are genuinely in love with each other (I'm assuming if Eden asked Cash, he would have said yes).

The only other thing to mention I guess is with Theo and the whole River Boy racing stuff.  I didn't like how Justin was blaming Sonny either.  And I do also think it's interesting that Sonny is portrayed as impulsive and reckless, but despite not knowing too much about them, he's being the sensible one re the River Boys.  That should show Theo how problematic this whole thing is.  Whilst I'm not keen on them, I did enjoy Gage and Lacey winding Cash up whilst they were outside the Surf Club.

That was a rather short "day before the wedding": It felt like it was still early in the day at the end of last episode but a few scenes in it's suddenly night again! I must admit that scene at Salt was possibly the only time I've felt sorry for Tane in the build-up to the wedding. It was obviously meant to demonstrate Tane's lack of interest in the ceremony but if I got ambushed the day before my wedding by a celebrant trying to make out that coming up with a "little surprise" for the bride was expected of me, I'd react the same way: I don't think I've ever been to a wedding where that was considered a requirement. That said, John's probably the person I feel most sorry for here, if this was only the second wedding he'd been asked to officiate and it hasn't happened.

Anyway, both Tane and Harper let it go on longer than it should have done, but at least they stopped it going too far.(That said, given the show's determination to give Tane a family, I would not be surprised if they suddenly decide a few months down the line that Tane does love her after all and they get back together.)Dana seemed to have her head in the sand a bit, hoping it would all work out.So did Harper, for the most part, and it still seems to be there: Despite promising Tane they'll still be a family, she seems to have no idea what that actually means. I was wondering if the cache of goodies Tane found were from his family but it turned out not to be: Did they even know he was getting married? (We even saw that old family photo recently, and even though a good chunk of the people on it are dead, Nikau and Gemma are still around.) Oh, and I do like it when the show remembers Harper and Cash are friends, with him going to check on her.

Elsewhere, Kirby was being a bit erratic in suggesting Eden propose to Cash after the wedding and then trying to get her to do it the previous night instead. And her trying to juggle her singing career with a day job seems to be coming unstuck.

For a moment, I thought Harper was going to go through with it, but I'm glad she changed her mind about the wedding because Tane wasn't going to.  He wants the baby too much.  I do think she did very well because this time she didn't let her emotions cloud her judgement.  I'm glad Cash is still being a good friend to Harper and confronted Tane re his feelings.  I certainly agree Harper should never have let it get to this point, although it is better to do it now than to jilt Tane at the altar or even go through with the wedding and realise it was a mistake.

I quite liked Eden checking in on Tane.  It's funny because I found her the most objectionable member of Lyrik previously, but I think she's the more favourable one at the moment.

Oh there are plenty of short days in the bay.😁 People can walk from the Diner in broad daylight and by the time they reach the Beach House it's dark.

As the old saying goes 'better late than never' with Harper deciding  she couldn't marry someone who cares for but doesn't  love her.  Said many a time she knew he would never love her the way he loved Felicity but there are  different kinds  of love, Johns' big love was Gina but he fell in love with Marilyn  and she knew it wouldn't be the same kind of love he felt for Gina.  Bad timing or not Tane getting asked by Cash that very question and she took the words out of my mouth when she walked in on them.   He could have lied but his hesitation and the look on his face said it all, but then  he actually admitted it.

Going by the trailer though it seems Harper doesn't want him anywhere near 'her' baby, that's going to be pretty tricky seeing as the live in the same town.

There hasn't been any mention of Tane's family turning up, we know he has an extensive family, didn't some come for Perri's party, it would be quite a distance for Nik and Bella.   Anyways they would have had a wasted trip wouldn't they?

Kind of guessing Eden won't be asking Cash to marry her, definitely not the right time. Kirby nearly dropped her in it before.

Just as Irene had girded herself up to go to the Wedding and chosen the dress Harper dropped the bombshell on them, that was sweet John giving her  a hug.  Cash is in the middle really Tane had been his brother-in-law and he's a friend as is  Harper.

Kirby does need to have that talk with Mali, she won't be able to fit both commitments in and do them justice.

I guess Leah and Justin would put the blame on Sonny as will Remi but they haven't see how Theo is around the RB's and Lacey in particular.

I had absolutely no sympathy for Harper here. She's not a victim in this. She hid the pregnancy from Tane for months because it was easier for her. She got carried away in her (and Dana's) schoolgirl fantasy of marrying a good-looking guy she'd fancied for ages, when it was obvious to everyone else that she'd never be more than a poor substitute for Felicity, and Tane wouldn't have looked twice at her without the baby. And now that everything's inevitably gone belly-up, she's back to acting as though what's best for her is the only important thing. Whilst Tane yelling at her wasn't helpful, I wasn't too keen on Cash acting like her guard dog. Tane shouldn't have proposed for the wrong reasons, but Harper was just as much to blame for letting things get that far. I wasn't sure Tane going to see her so soon after was a good idea but he seemed to get some concessions out of her.

I can't really blame either Kirby or Mali here. Kirby does have a job to do and can't expect Mali to let her out of work whenever inspiration hits. But on the other hand, if she does want to focus on her music, resigning is the best option. It's not even as if she walked out and left him in the lurch, she's actually given him notice, something virtually unprecedented in television.

Eden's attempt at an engagement discussion gets derailed again by Cash's ennui. Levi definitely blurted out too much information there. And Mali possibly has as well, given Abigail's shocked look and the promo.

I’m behind again yes Not much to say really just I’m not sure Mac wanting a baby makes sense she didn’t really spend that much time with Izzy and she didn’t really see Dean and Ziggy with her much everybody was far too busy being kidnapped and Mac didn’t find out Ziggy was pregnant until mid kidnapping Soooo yeah whatever you say Mac a good kidnap gets you itching for babies who am I to think that’s quite random
