When I heard about Dean/Ziggy's return, initially I thought it was going to handled as a one off storyline.  I know they've done it a couple of times (Kyle featured in one of them).  I really quite enjoyed the stuff with Mackenzie and Ziggy being taken hostage by the escaped criminals.  It did remind me a bit of when the guys that ran Remi over kidnapped Eden and you had one of them who was quite prepared to do whatever was necessary and the other, who seemed to have remorse.  Same here.  The scenes with Dean and Levi were a lot better and I also enjoyed them.  I wonder if it will be mentioned what charges Levi will face.  I liked Tane's reaction to finding out Levi was able to turn things around with Dean.  I have to say I was a little surprised Mackenzie wanted kids but thinking about it, it's hard to understand prior to Levi why she is still in the bay, so I guess that's naturally the next step for her.

So Rose is gone now.  Disappointment as I quite liked her and I don't like too many characters at the moment.  I really liked the goodbye moment with Cash.  They deeply cared for each other.  As I mentioned shortly after Rose first came, I actually always wanted something to happen with them (Kind of like Mackenzie and Tane) but it just wasn't meant to be.  Similar to Mackenzie she was also someone who didn't have much of a reason to be in the Bay.

Not sure what to make of Theo.  He warned Sonny about the River Boys, but now gets involved with them, takes a massive risk with the racing, all because he fancies the head River Boy's girlfriend (Go figure).  I guess it is consistent in making bad choices when you think he did drugs because of Valerie.

Really, really enjoyed Eliza putting the frighteners on Marilyn 🤣.  I was actually disappointed Marilyn moved out.  On a more serious note, I do have a lot of sympathy for Roo.  Marilyn was out of line posing as her to speak to Eliza's former foster parents (We know from Heather, she doesn't have empathy for people like that), however Roo's smart enough to know there was truth behind what she said.  And even if she discounts Marilyn, when Tane spoke to her after Eliza tried to get back into the Youth programme, he came across as very reasonable (despite Eliza's offhand comment about Harper being frightened of him).  It must be hard for Roo because she probably feels Eliza been let down by the system, then dumped by one foster family, so she feels a duty to stick this out.  But then you have a deeply disturbed young girl who actually needs professional help.

Deeply disturbed is right, she needs specialist care maybe in a clinic but specialist fostering really; there are people who do the ultra problematic cases it's true. Roo strikes me as she would be better with say a temporarily displaced or even one who's ended up in care because of trauncy for dyslexia style as she is a good teacher.

Well Maz's comments to Roo about why she was leaving did prompt Roo to look in Eliza's musical box where she did find some disturbing things, that lock of hair, the photo of those two kids with their faces, scratched out and Alf's knife. What was that other object Roo was looking at was it the lighter?  She took a chance actually as she nearly got caught and I may  have imagined it but I felt Eliza knew someone as in Roo had been in her box.

That was an odd comment from Irene who it seems is OK enough to be back in the Diner itself.  She hasn't met Eliza but knowing Eliza and how she can seem to pick up on other's frailties maybe  that's a good idea, she does know Maz and knows she has good instincts about people.  Another good sign that Irene is getting back to her old self is her not minding about Dana coming home drunk and banging around the place. As she  said as along as there is no grog in the house she can't and wouldn't dictate about people going out on the lash.

🤣 at Abby's idea of a hangover cure.  I also think Dana and Abby would be good friends. Turn around for Levi being OK with Mali moving back in OK he was nagged about it, but did like Mali checking with Abby first if she was OK with it.

OK we know from what we saw nothing bad happened when Ziggy and Mac were kidnapped, not withstanding Roscoe getting all leery with Mac so I was puzzled why Mac was so quiet with Levi.  I can see why she didn't want all and sundry knowing their holiday wasn't as restful as it should have been, folk do tend to want to know all the gory details but it was nothing to do with that.  That was a real gob smacker with her owning up to Tane she wanted a baby after meeting Izzy, she did lose one as she had an ectopic pregnancy so it could be risky for her. Plus of course neither her or Levi have even discussed children so wouldn't know if he'd want them. I remember Imogen mentioning having children in a couple of years  but that was her plan for her and Levi's future.  Tane's now been put on the spot as Levi will ask him if Mac confided in him what the problem was.

I feel it's more to do with the cars what's got Theo  revved up - pun intended - then the RB's. Lacey is also a reason of course.  I actually like her.   Brax could be tough on his guys if they broke the rules.

Several moments today I think were akin to Psycho, could almost hear the shower strings! It's probably just me but I've noticed both in H&A and other progs Hush Little Baby is often used more than any other music box lullaby in sinister scenes, obviously to highlight the contrast of innocent beginnings to the darker now. It's an excellent piece of musical imagery...but might put you singing lullabies for life!

It always felt like they were riffing off it a bit when they did that storyline about the woman who miraculously survived a skydiving accident only to get killed by a car on leaving hospital.

Roo is trying to balance being supportive of Eliza and worrying that she might be dangerous. It feels like Eliza should have been in specialist care in the first place: Where exactly is her social worker and why is Roo having to go to Harper for advice instead? I did continue to appreciate Eliza winding Marilyn up.The sensible thing would surely be for Roo to take that knife back to the bait shop rather than moving it around the pantry.Eliza once again gets intense at someone taking her stuff, but it's less defensible when it's something she's stolen herself. I'm not sure what to make of her buying a teddy bear for the baby: On the face of it, it's a sweet gesture, but she seems to have an ulterior motive in trying to get close to Tane and Harper again.

Well, neither of Mackenzie's secrets stay secret for very long.Levi didn't get the answer he expected and Mackenzie didn't get the response she'd hoped for.I suspect it's not going to be left there. She also didn't anticipate Mali calling Dean if she didn't give him a straight answer, although in that case it may well be left there.

Harper's back and Tane's response is basically "Oh. Yeah. You." It's kind of ironic, given how much he leaned on her as a friend, that he doesn't really know what to do with her now they're engaged and expecting a baby.I wonder if some of the things Mackenzie said about having an idea stuck in your head hit home.

Poor Rachel.  I miss her.

I also enjoyed Eliza continuing to wind Marilyn up.  The best part of it was how uncomfortable Marilyn looked. It was a similar expression to when Heather was first giving her looks.   Eliza does seem to be quite inconsistent.  I agree about her helping herself to other people's things such as the scan of Harper's baby, Alf's knife and Marilyn's money but then she loses it when it happens to her (Does she actually use the phone Roo bought for her?).  Roo really is stuck between a rock and a hard place.  It just feels as though it doesn't matter what she does, she's going to fail with Eliza because as mentioned, Eliza needs what Roo can't give her.

I'm watching Harper during any scenes with Tane and just wonder why Harper is putting herself through this knowing full well, she's going to end up getting hurt.
