Actors who've appeared in 1000+ episodes

Does anyone know which actors have appeared in 1000+ episodes? I looked on IMDB, but they are known for not being 100% accurate, particularly with Australian programmes.

I am guessing Ray Meagher, Kate Ritchie, Judy Nunn, Norman Coburn, Emily Symons, Ada Nicodemou, Lyn Collingwood and Lynne McGranger definitely would have surpassed 1000 episodes, and there is also a number who I suspect may have (if not they'd be close to 1000) such as Nicole Dickson, Shane Withington, Bec Cartwright, Debra Lawrence and Ryan Clark too.

I think possibly Mat Stevenson and Nic Testoni may be over 1000. And Christie Hayes. Maybe even Adam Willits and Ben  Unwin?

It would be interesting to see a definitive list and who is on top. Obviously Ray, Lynne and Kate would most likely be 1,2 and 3 respectively, but I'd be curious to an order for the others.

Did Home and Away ever implement episode quotas like Neighbours did? I know Rebekah Elmaloglou appeared in a ridiculous number of episodes without missing one, so I'm guessing they weren't around in the early 1990s, and they clearly aren't around today, but what about the in-between years?

I think list would be like this

1 Alf

2 Irene

3 Sally

4 Leah

5 Donald

6 Ailsa

7 Marilyn

8 Colleen

9 Sam

10 Pippa

Many of those mentioned have been on the show for much more than 1000 episodes, more like 2500-6000; Sally, Alf, Irene, Leah, Fischer, Ailsa, Colleen and Marilyn.

But many more have been there over a period with more than 1000 episodes.

But some of the earlier characters were just in it for shorter periods over a long time, like Sam Marshall, and it doesn't look like that he reached 1000 eps.

But it looks like Damien Roberts did, just had a quick overlook at the character page.

And Haley reached over 1000 eps; from 2481-4100. Rebecca Cartwright portrayed her for the most of the times and I believe she reached over 1000 eps.

Kirsty Sutherland Phillips also reached over 1000 episodes; 2856-2903 and 4651-4973.

Tony Holden was in it for over 1000 episodes too; 4020-5138.

And the same for Rachel Armstrong Holden 4108-5138

Roo Stewart with Georgie Parker has been in it since 5195, so also reached the 1000 episode mark.

And John Palmer has been there since episode 4820, so more than 1500 episodes ago.

Jesse McGregor 1926-2760, 3341-4012.

Morag is listed with a bunch of shorter periods on the character page, and it does't look that she has been in it for more than 1000 episodes, something that I thought was weird. - It seems like she was in it for much more in the mid 00's.

Thanks to the character profiles for the info.

Do you mean in the series for over 1000 episodes or actually appeared in 1000 episodes? There would be a lot fewer in the latter category particularly as some actors only appear in 2 episodes per week.

How about Jon Silvewright, Clarissa House, Kimberly Cooper, Zac Drayson?

Jon Sivewright as Tony as in it from 4020 to 5138 as I mentioned.

Clarissa House/Beth Hunter seem to quit just before the 1000 episode mark. She was in it from 3489 to 4342.

Kit/Kimberly Cooper was in it for "shorter" periods and it seem to me that she didn't reach the 1000 episode mark, but it seem to me that Zac Drayson/Will Smith just reached the 1000 episode mark if we count all his periods on the show;  2320-3215, 3358, 3453, 3595-3596, 3764-3774, 4000, 4060-4062. His stint in 2010-11 is not mentioned on the character profile, but I guess it was a couple of months.

Isn't it too difficult to count the actual number? And even if some characters only appears in 2 or 3 episode per week, some of them have more lines per episode and week than others who are in it for 4 or 5 episodes (such as Alf).

Yes - that's what I meant. Actually appeared in 1000 episodes.
