QUIET ACHIEVER Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 A gentle reminder that reviews for the Fan Fiction challenge close on this Sunday. A few more reviews would be gratefully appreciated as there seems to be a drought of reviewers and reading the three fictions + reviewing them will only take up a few moments of your time.
QUIET ACHIEVER Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Firstly, thanks to all the three entrants for all their efforts and for making this competition possible as without entries there would be no competition. Secondly, thanks to all the four reviewers who took the time to read the entries and to review them - it's very much appreciated because without reviewers there would be no winner for this competition. I hope that each of the entrants will take the advice given for their fiction and apply it when writing future fictions. Now to announce the winner. *drumroll please* We have a tie and the joint winners for this competition are: From Lemons to Mangoes by jenlee and Four Words by Jen Congratulations to both jenlee and Jen. Entries and reviews can be found here.
Miranda Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Well, that is really good. Congrats to Jen and Jenlee. I was really torn between their two stories, so I'm glad they both won
Cerise Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 Sorry, only just read the entries! I thought they were fantastic and congrats to both of you for winning
shimple Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 More Than Meets the Jai made me LOL... I've been calling him "JaiLadyBoy" since he first appeared on the show.
adellejefferiesxox Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Yeah I always pictured Jai like Justin off ugly betty!!
Jen Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Since the Script Writing Competition has come and gone for another year, I'm wondering if anyone is feeling inspired to write. Does anyone want to suggest topics for a new Fanfic challenge? My first suggestion would be alternate pairings. So a one-shot with two characters who do not normally interact or have never been linked romantically. Alternatively, a one-shot song fic. So incorporate the lyricws of a song or write a one-shot based on the lyrics of a song. More suggestions welcome.
Jayde Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I like the idea of a songfic. It's a really good guideline for stories so might help people become motivated, plus can inject emotion into a story. I think that'd be good.
Pengzilla Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 I like the idea of a song-fic. I'd definitely like to get involved in a few weeks once my exams are over.
Lise Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 I like both of those idea's, Jen. I'd be interested in giving something a go. I think I vote for the song one.
