nenehcherry2 Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 Ailsa and Morag were never likely to be friends. Morag was very close to Martha (Roo's mum - who helped her give up Bobby) and so rejected anyone new in Alf's life, as well as being a big opportunist of a very selfish nature, whilst Ailsa was a kind-hearted, down-to-earth figure who had Bobby's best interests at heart and was all for the community. Ailsa, I think, just couldn't relate to any of Morag's antics (remember the Macklin development) or her attitude to Bobby and plus, due to her closeness to Roo, didn't trust Morag and blamed her for her murderous past coming out. And Morag saw Ailsa as nothing more than a cheap, mumsy gossip (which she was far from being) due to her snobby nature (like her attitude to Colleen today) and so because of their differences, the two women simply clashed, with Ailsa always being suspicious of Morag and Morag always looking down at Ailsa.
Nathan Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 I like Morag mellowed-down. We've got to remember that Morag can toughen up in an instant when it comes to people like Josh West and Brett Macklin. Morag may have lightened up in the past years but when it comes to her family and friends, she will take you down if you do anything wrong to them.
