The 3 days later in Episode 133 did seem rather random, like it wasn't the end of a batch of storylines and there appearing to be not much reason why it couldn't have continued at normal pace.

I remember an episode in 2000 with "fake Mitch" that seemed to impy that the Beach House was on stilts as he was under the house trying to woo Hayley back.

About another 50 episodes.

We've not seen the last of Lynn quite just yet, she appears in a couple of episodes two months down the track.

Fisher really has had some more point since Barbara arrived. He sort of started off used a lot, then has spent the best part of 100 episodes being almost a token nuisance, though Norman Coburn always played it in a way where he came across as having his own personal battles as well, but he does appear to have more reason to integrate with the Bay now.

260 is a full year of episodes, so with Episode 122 airing today I believe, it could well be that it airs in exactly a year time.

I think a lot of Lynn's aura or something could come from the fact that she is this mysterious character from the start of the show that is reasonably acted and has had a few storylines, but mostly because she isn't heard of again after the first six months.

The three episodes at the end of the week were quite bizarre in the way that show seemed to veer away from the form it had taken up to the wedding with weird locations, occasionally different filming techniques and what feels like a lot more peripheral characters. Starting with the Celia/Morag/Roo/Brett storyline and The Bellingham Mansion and is tacky decor, with Celia's driving comedy. I think it's noticable as the show enters quite a heavy Stewart/Fisher period that certain characters seem to be getting used less and less. You can see why Lynn was eventually cut, she hasn't had much to do since the misunderstanding with her father. Old H&A Fan, just reading you signature. To think two years ago Sally left about now seems not so long ago, yet to think (what is just over two years), where we'll be up to in these episodes and which characters could just be about to arrive seems so far away.

Yes, that's right. How I intended my post to read is that from watching Friday's episodes (103), I didn't see a scene that I'd already seen from having seen 104 many times (one of the first pre-2000 episodes I ever watched from the Summer Bay 3000 site) and therefore deducing that either 104 doesn't have a recap or they edited the VCR release.

The actual wedding episode (104), from my copy of the 5 Greatest Episodes starts with Morag talking to Roo about Hillaire Belloc, a scene we've not seen yet.

Also, I believe, the only sighting of Martha's grandmother in Episode 101. Her other grandmother appears in flashbacks in early 1989, but quite bizarre to think that one episode guest (not even deemed worthy enough of a first name), is so close to the current show.

I liked the church scene, attended by, well only those that appeared in the days episode (plus I think Bobby looks better here than she does in 6 months time). Does anyone know the first time we hear Bobby's theme? Everytime however Brett appears I'm just distracted by Gerry Sont's dodgy acting.

I liked 2008, but, to me, it was merely a very good year like 2002, 2002 or even that early part of Dan Bennett was, as well as of course the first few years, especially 1989. I might be in the minority here though.

I'd probably define it more tightly than that, probably from the "Bush Fire" episode to Angel leaving is what I'd call the Golden Era. Either side of that the cast was still strong, but it did quite have that high drama, but still extremely well written, that lasted for those 300 episodes or so.
