Everything we know is on the location page - it wasn't mentioned after that.

Usually story generation is down to the Script Producers, or Story Editors as they were called back in the day. Though obviously any storylines have to be approved by the Producer and other powers that be. As for specific reasons for storylines, well that's down to them... For Roxy, it's likely that they wanted something that would eventually facilitate a reason for her departure. We have had interviews/Q&A's etc. over the years with two of H&A's venerated Script Producers, Bevan Lee and Coral Drouyn, and I have been in touch with others in recent times - so never say never.

You'll find all you need to know here - it burnt down in real-life in 2002, was rebuilt, and started appearing on-screen again in 2015. The interior was a set, as are all the other regular character houses.

Time to update this thread a bit, though it does seem I've been talking to myself in here for the past year With the 2015 season now over in the UK, our current character profiles are in the process of being updated once again - starting with Jett, John and Marilyn as today's update. A big thanks to RR1 once again for his continued effort with keeping them up to date. There's also been a few new guest character profiles, including one for Darcy Callahan last week (again thanks to RR1). A number of new locations have been added to the site in the past couple of months, thanks to QA going out and getting the pics for us, including Harry's Kidnap, Morag's City Mansion and Meg's Funeral amongst others. (discussion here) We've recently run an exclusive interview with Laura Vazquez that can be read here (discussion here) - and the rest of the Interviews section also got a spruce up. The Births, Marriages and Deaths pages have been updated (discussion for that here) There's also been a large number of news articles, largely thanks to Matt - and for those watching the Early Years repeats on 7TWO, I recently added a preview for the 1995 season with dates of the key episodes. For those following the 'Who Shot Charlotte?' storyline, Matt's also running two articles - one at Australian pace and one at UK pace - to show all the latest developments with the investigation and possible suspects, which he endeavours to update on a weekly basis. There's still lots of tweaks being made to the site here and there, and we know there's a number of areas which are yet to be revamped/updated. It is a long process due to the sheer volume of pages on the site, but Chris is still beavering away when he can. We're getting ready to launch a whole new section of the site very soon, and work has started behind the scenes on a big expansion/makeover of one of the existing sections.

Apologies for the apparent inability to post at the moment - the problem hasn't seemed to have affected Admin accounts, so I didn't even notice until RR1 just emailed me (I thought it was a bit quiet!). We hope to have it sorted as soon as we can!

The location of Meg Bowman's Funeral has been uploaded to the site today, with the following locations also uploaded in recent weeks: Federation Bank (2008) Lily Nelson's Hostel Elliot Gillen's House Thanks again to QA for the pics. There's also been a small update to the info on the Bellingham Mansion after the resident at the time got in touch with us. http://www.backtothebay.net/locations/

Yes there's a passing reference in a few weeks time, not really a spoiler as such so I figured I'd include it with this update whilst I was at it

The Births, Marriages and Deaths pages have been updated with the following: BIRTHS/MISCARRIAGES Casey Braxton Twins of Kyle Braxton & Phoebe Nicholson MARRIAGES/ENGAGEMENTS Nathan Roberts & Grace O'Connor Zac Macguire & Leah Patterson-Baker James Edmunds & Roo Stewart DEATHS Dean Sanderson Tom Knight Denny Miller Trystan Powell Charlotte King The pages themselves have had a bit of a revamp, but that section is still on the old publishing system - so some of the old look/logo still remains in the main indexes etc.

It's a natural affinity to the Norfolk Pine trees which cover Summer Bay

The Facebook profiles you're referring to for Alan and Lynne are fake (I know that for a fact), and I'm not even sure why anyone would believe they're real given the comments they're coming out with. So can we please get back on topic rather than spreading gossip about actors which is false.

Early days and probably of no consequence to many, but Channel 5 have recently been granted a licence by OFCOM to broadcast Channel 5 HD on Freeview. (the HD channel has only ever been available on Sky and Virgin Media since it launched nearly 6 years ago)

Christine Anu - Monkey and the Turtle

One of my favourites from the show, it was Between Two Shores by Vika & Linda. The same one was used in Neighbours when Madge & Harold reunited following his 'return from the dead'. There are two versions of it knocking around though, as they later did an acoustic, the one in the show was the original from their 1997 album 'Princess Tabu'.

With You by Ellogram. Same guy that's behind St Leonards.
-
Yeah it's not just you, I've let the boss know. Edit: Chris is looking into it.
-
Samantha Jade - though given how they've been over-publicising her appearance for what seems like months, I'm surprised there's anyone left who doesn't know Edit: Topic title edited accordingly

No it was Alf & Ailsa who took him in - Pippa took Justine when she arrived.

A few more locations have been uploaded to the site since my last post in here, and these additions now mean we have over 100 filming locations listed on the site: Harry's Kidnap (the studio cottage where Jane Avent took Rachel & Tony's baby) The Robertson House (Kim's aunt) Naomi Preston's apartment (where Lucas went a bit stalkerish) And today we have Morag & Richard Bellingham's city mansion from 1988-1989 Thanks to QA once again for being the one to go and take the pictures for us.

All episodes for recent years in our Episode Guide, as well as the Upcoming Eps pages for both Australia and the UK, have both airdates included.

The point is though, at the moment, it's not actually your story. It's Bevan Lee's story (the man that wrote the Pilot episode). Using existing scenes and slotting in your own lines every now and again is not a fanfiction. I know how much effort it does take to transcribe something, having to stop and start the video continuously whilst you write everything down - but if the beginnings to your own story is identical to what aired on-screen, you don't have to write that part out. For example, if your original ideas don't come in until after the Fletchers move to Summer Bay, you could simply say in the blurb "Tom Fletcher has been retrenched and the family have moved to Summer Bay". Or even "This story is set 3 days after the Fletchers moved to Summer Bay" - and then you can carry on with your own story. That's probably for the best, it's an interesting concept so you'll need some time in order to come up with an original take on it. I'm there's some readers that will look forward to it.

OK...I think it's gone far enough now without anyone saying anything. So far I've seen only two or three original lines. The rest is simply a transcription, word for word, of the Pilot episode. We have a script for that somewhere on the site already so there's not a lot of point in typing the rest up. I would suggest taking some time to work on your next update in order to turn it into your own story, otherwise the thread will have to be closed. As someone else has mentioned, try and make your posts longer too rather than posting short snippets - if you work on it offline in Word or suchlike you'll find it much easier.

First one is: Not sure on the second one.

'Losing You' by Ella Thompson, can be streamed here

I went over the ep several times and couldn't seem to find it, I presume you must mean the one in 6301 when Roo & Alf leave the hospital? That one is 'Wasting my Young Years' by London Grammar:

Well another year has passed, and as of today, Back to the Bay is now 12 years old. The last year has been a pretty hectic one behind the scenes as we work on various sections of the site and launch new ones, and we're continuing with that effort as we speak. For those who might be interested in the history of the site, we did a big article a couple of years back on our 10th birthday, plus there's also this thread on the forum. I've also just realised that I've now been co-running this site for 10 years as of a few weeks back, so I'm not quite sure where that went....
