  1. Just watched the Pilot again last night... I find it interesting that Don was made out to be such a villain, yet a few months later or in 1989, he was a good guy. Realizing that Jackie Woodburne aka Julie "Chook" Egbert was one of the original actresses to audition for the role of Pippa is kinda cool. But, I am glad Vanessa Downing and later Debra Lawrence got the roles... There's just some actors who are suited for the roles of certain characters such as Cornelia Frances and Morag. In a few weeks, I'll be able to see Roger Oakley in another role 5 years prior as Chris Young in Prisoner... It'll be cool to see Roger in both roles at the same time.
  2. Anyone notice how similar Mary O'Brien was to Nola McKenzie's alias "Jean Carter" in Prisoner...? I know they were both played by the amazing Carole Skinner, but the characters were similar.
  3. Talented actresses such as Anne Charleston, Louise Siversen, Janet Andrewartha, Glenda Linscott, Val Lehman and Elspeth Ballantyne all gracing the shores of Summer Bay, when?

  4. Which episode was it when Shane trolled the neighbour, which I think was an Asian lady and she came into the Diner or the police station all angry? I think it was in 1993.
  5. Did Tom refer to Fisher as a "little heckler" or "little Hitler" in the pilot episode?
  6. Where did my Hobi avatar go? ?

  7. Deirdre Kean, eh? I like Belinda Giblin, she seems like a great Martha. Now onto my own post... How much was Martha brought up after 1988/1989? Did Alf possess her "death certificate" or not?
  8. Where did Fisher live after his hows burned down in 1995? I can't seem to remember.
  9. When did Irene's stairs become the stairs we all know and love? I just rewatched the episode where Shane was confirmed dead and noticed the stairs are the current ones, rather than the original stairs.

  11. Agreed. It'd be great if they brought it back.
  12. The show was excellent from 1988 - 2000/2001.
  13. BTS PAVED THE FLAMIN' WAY! - Alf Stewart, 2019.

Listen here, girlie! BTS paved the way and that's final toots! - Irene Roberts, 2019.

  14. THEY PAVED THE WAY...

    BTS SLAY...

  15. I think if compared to anyone today, it'd be Ryder.
  16. DebPip was the best replacement for VanPip, I got used to DebPip quickly after VanPip left. DebPip is so good that it doesn't feel like VanPip was replaced.
  17. I kinda wish she'd go back to how she was in the 90s, God she was enjoyable to watch, she still is, but she has since mellowed and that's sad.
  18. I think they just used those spellings as unique spellings.
  19. I'm in a group on Facebook and someone posted something and it sounds quite possible... A possible reason they axed it is due to licensing issues with episodes 1921 to about 2085, this is because ITV2 decided to rerun 1996 from 1921 after ITV dropped it in June 2000. Living then decided about a year later to jump from 707 and after two catch up episodes presented by Kate Ritchie started from 1921. So ITV2 stopped about 2085, so episodes 2086 onwards is fine. It makes sense, but I thought Channel 7 had the rights to their own show. I had an idea after hearing that we got no real updates from Channel 7 since 2017, was due to them fixing these issues (which can be a possibility, as the user in the FB group said "it would be a mammoth job" and they did say that it was hopefully returning in 2018, but that hasn't happened yet. Hopefully it will return this year, I miss it like crazy.
