  1. I think Coral Drouyn wanted it at some point earlier than 2004 (possibly why Sally was left unable to have kids so 2001/2002 ish), but Kate Ritchie was against it.
  2. It was and it wasn’t, they just tended to add any new joiners to the end as it was obviously a nightmare to rejig the order to place them more logically with their relationships.
  3. I think the issue with that style is they kept it too long. The 2003 change should’ve been a complete new style rather than just the change to larger boxes and new transitions.
  4. I think as well it’s because the shows he was a lead in were more cult, he didn’t really have mainstream success, he just worked succesfully and steadily as an actor for decades and I think the effort & skill required to do so is underestimated.
  5. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/julian-mcmahon-nip-tuck-fantastic-222131005.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly91ay5zZWFyY2gueWFob28uY29tLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAFQYdy5FlcbnBD2MeoK2DURSpXXTntqI2sFqYvtsj2u0AM0ZXlmGJO-b-cxERhXIn2uAcwAumx8-z4O1qo3I2qBKhtArJ_rUFIFu_qH3r1zH3d9Ej0AR7PgP0xjzF6nT_cFtsvpeI70YCYDmD91CdhHWbejHw7u4zIdFsdQHZSyj Sad news that Julian McMahon (Ben Lucini) has died, aged 56, after a battle with cancer.
  6. Yes, I wondered if we’d alternate, but with not having the 2nd verse for the Closing theme I think it works having one version for the opening, one for the closing so we hear both voices even if only 2 versions of the theme.
  7. Is anyone purposely watching the titles every day? I’ve wanted them back for so long and complained about their axing so I feel I can’t skip them.
  8. True, but Pippa’s the Leah of this scenario (Leah’s the same age now as Pippa was in 1996). I’m very surprised Leah & Justin aren’t at the start of these titles to be honest (although could be in one of the other versions). If the security are stood outside the Pier Apartment as they are at Sonny’s motel room how long is it going to take for the River Boys to work out where Theo & Sonny are? If they needed a story to explain the Pier rebuild this would’ve been a good opportunity to have it burn down… albeit a little late. Like the cast I wish we could see the back of that awful coffee cart, it’s sad that the show clearly aren’t able to film on/next to the Pier itself anymore. I don’t think realistically the Diner could justify the staffing for both locations, nor would they ever need the number of covers they have across both unless they had coach trips again.
  9. The oldies being at the end of the titles is nostalgic, 1996 crammed most of them in to the chorus, 2000 was similar pre-Sutherlands.
  10. It’s a bit jarring going from the titles to the recaps, but I’m just glad they’re back so no complaining!
  11. Opening titles are on the first look today!
  12. Wow, opening titles are back!
  13. I’m not sure where Dean & Ziggy live now, it looked like Hamilton Island, but I don’t think the shots we’ve seen looked sufficiently different to Summer Bay to feel like it was a special event.
  14. If Mac didn’t want to give the game away that she was back to the Salt staff, maybe she should have sent Levi to the Diner for breakfast instead! And thank you Mali for proving my point about Alf needing to sell some convenience items (Milk, bread etc…) at the Bait Shop for the Caravan Park guests.
  15. Was today the first time we got an unobscured shot of the rebuilt pier complex?
